Talent Show

All 3 girls participated in the school talent show.  It was so much fun.

Miss P was in two acts.  A group of girls sang "you're never fully dressed without a smile" from Annie.  It was so cute.  We went to goodwill so P could find her orphan outfit.   She knew exactly what she wanted.  Once she got it home she had a great time modifying the outfit with scissors and markers to make it look more authentic. :)  She also sang "my favorite things" from the Sound of Music.

M & E and their kindergarten class were the "little greasers".  They performed Greased Lightening.  It was sooo cute!  I was a bit worried how they would do on stage in front of so many people, but they were great.  It was a lot of fun and we were so proud of our 3 girls.

Hiding Places

The dude loves to play hide and seek.  One of his favorite places to hide is in the cupboard.

Stitches

The kids and I met Aunt Shae for yogurt one afternoon.  While we were there, the dude fell and hit his head on a chair.  It was a deep cut that needed stitches.  The girls were so upset that he was hurt, they were crying more than he was.    Aunt Shae was awesome and drove us to urgent care in the big suburban.  Baboo Sherwood met us there.  Mr Bill met us there as well.  The dude was sooooo BRAVE!  He had to get 6 stitches.  He didn't even cry.  He lay on the table, closed his eyes while we sang the ABC song!  It was amazing.

Here we are at urgent care waiting to see the Dr.  Notice my fabulous butterfly bandage job.

The night before the stitches came out.

He has a nice little scar, but we figure it makes him look tough.

Tree Decorating

Here we are decorating the tree at the Bullock's house.

Everyone had to have a chance to put the tree topper on the tree-you must be fair :)  Here it is M's turn

E's turn

Knott's Berry Farm

Growing up it was a tradition to have "Family Day" a day or two after Thanksgiving.  It has been fun to continue the tradition with my own family.  This year we went to Knott's Berry Farm.

The dude was not happy to miss the ride on the bumper cars, so we distracted him with some video games.

Waiting for the holiday parade

The girls has soooo much fun on this ride

The dude loved the plane ride

Pat Pat and Baboo Sherwood

By the end of the evening it had started to rain.  We finished up the the evening with a few rides on Grizzly Rapids.

Cousin Maizie comes to visit

Baboo Vic turned 70 in the beginning of November. We celebrated by going to Knott's Berry Farm with Maizie, Brady, Mamoo and Baboo. After a day at the park the kids had a slumber party. They camped in the living room in tents and sleeping bags. A good time was had by all.

Awards Assembly

Miss P was awarded the SENSATIONAL STORYTELLER award. According to her teacher she not only knows how to write a good story but also knows how to present one to the class. She even received a standing ovation when she read her haunted house story to the class.
Way to go P!

Miss M also got an award at the assembly. Unfortunately this was M's FIRST assembly ever. When her name was called she was a little shocked and did not know what to do. So...she started to cry and refused to go to the front to receive her award. I had to go to the front with her and receive the award while she was crying and clinging to my leg. We got a great picture.

A little while later when she learns that getting an award is a "good thing".
