It's November!!!
Jessica's note to the Tooth Fairy
Jessica was so sweet today. While I was on the phone after school, she found all of the snow clothes and got herself and helped Devin get completely dressed in snow pants, coat, scarf, gloves and hat. She also helped Kelsi find everything so we went sledding!!! It was so fun! Then we came home and drank hot cocoa and made sugar cookies. Jessica kept saying "This is the best day ever." I really love my kids so much!

May!
I just took the pictures off my camera for May and realized it has been a busy month! Enjoy!
Devin and his sweet little friend.
The girls both had swim lessons to get ready for the summer.
One day we stayed and played in the park.
Jessica was practicing her photography.
Poor little Devin got sick and the next day slept 22 of 24 hours. This picture was taken right after we got home from the pediatrician. I was trying to feed him a little before his nap... Poor little guy!
After taking him to the InstaCare one night, the pediatrician the next day, we finally ended up in Primary Children's ER where they figured out what was going on.
He had a retro phalangeal cyst- an infected cyst in his neck. See the dark grey spot on the right side.
CT scans are supposed to be symmetrical.
We ended up spending 4 days there and I cannot say enough good things about the children's hospital. They took such good care of him.
He is so little!
He felt a LOT better after surgery.
Jessica has had a big month with lots of end of year testing and preparing and practicing for her opera. It is this Wednesday at 6:30pm. This is from a rehearsal- the Octopus is capturing the Mermaids.
Kelsi graduated from preschool this month. Her last week they went on a field trip to the fire station.
She even made a graduation crown for her favorite flamingo "Pinkie."
Here is Devin and another sweet friend. These two would play everyday when we dropped off their older siblings for preschool. Most days Hadley would join them, too. It is fun to hear Devin really start to speak well and differentiate between Maggie, Maddie and Haddie. :)
Then recently our next big project has been making bunk beds for the girls. We may even end up making a little trundle for the crib mattress under it that we can later use as a drawer- we will see if we still have it in us. :) It is a big project. We happened to make some changes that will make it MUCH more sturdy, but they take a lot of time.
The kids helping clean up from the planer.
This is the little bugger that took so much time today. It is called a tenon and mortise. It makes it so the weight of the bed is on the wood itself instead of on the screws. It will be sturdy, but it took a lot of time. :)

The kids have had a really good time helping and my parents have been WONDERFUL to both help us and watch the kids so we could work together! Saturday they took the kids up to the air show at Hill Air Force Base while we worked. The kids had a really great time.
And here is what it looks like so far! These are both of the headboards leaning up against each other. The wood is sanded super smooth- I am excited to see how they turn out.
We have had an eventful month!

Tooth Fairy
All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth... As of Christmas, Jessica had not lost any teeth and she was feeling very left out. The day after Christmas she mentioned something poking her tongue. We checked and her 2 bottom teeth were coming in and her bottom teeth were slightly loose! (Celebrations all around.) I called the dentist to see if it was a problem the bottom teeth were coming in behind the others and we agreed to give it a week to see if the teeth loosened on their own. They didn't, so we went in today and the dentist pulled them. Thank goodness for lidocaine! I watched the whole thing and I was so grateful she was numb. One of the roots had only dissolved a little on the back side, but still had the whole length. The dentist did a GREAT job and Jes did great, too. It has been a very exciting day for her. :) She has a very cute lisp. :)

Halloween
This year we had fun making costumes. J actually designed hers. I had drawn a few pictures for her to choose from, and she picked a fairy. Then we looked at fairies in a book and she drew pictures of what she wanted it to look like- including the white inset and the pointed bottom. We had fun with it. Kelsi wanted to be a pink princess- so a princess fairy. She also chose which picture she wanted. The problem is that I wanted it to change it slightly, but that is what I get for letting her choose. She loved it.

We took pics with our friends the Gainers and the Smiths.
This picture was not staged. He decided to go exploring while we were taking pics and this is where I chased him to.
