I lost my phone yesterday on our fourth of July trip to Portland Maine.
Apparently Portland is the new Portland.
And whats good about that is your "keep Portland weird" stickers are apply in either city.
Luckily a week ago I thought to email myself some pictures that I wanted to blog about.
However .I lost so many pictures from when little guy was small and precious sage at her recital- tons of pictures.

Anyway I'm thankful that I emailed myself these ones.  So i'll tell you about them-

This is Sage at the kickoff for summer reading at the Wiscassett library.  The theme is Superheros, and they were celebrating firefighters this day.

Little Buddy loves his sister.  He walked across the yard to hug Sage.

Every weekend we go on some kind of exploration.  Here we went to Booth Bay and walked around all the shops by the sea.  We came to this coffee shop to rest up and I caught Sage looking so beautiful.

One reason we wanted to go somewhere new for the summer is because we only have one patch of grass at our house, not even a tree for shade.  To enjoy the outdoors we have to leave our house, and that is fun, but sometimes it would be nice to have a few trees, some dirt, and natural mischief in the backyard.  We didn't have to go all the way across the county for a healthy yard, but that's just how it worked out.
I'm so happy to say that we have thick woods carpeted with blueberry bushes and strawberries for days.  We have a generous lawn, and a small garden with peas, kale, spinach, lettuce, and beets that we started from seeds and care for every day or so.  If you go one road over there is a long dirt road loop that leads all the way down to the edge of the island, and you can almost get lost on it.
So here is a picture of Sage and Seadyr being cutesy on the teeter totter.
Our host, Cary, has been super hospitable and bought lots of kid toys.  I really appreciate the things she brought home for us.

This is a picture of part of the island we are on, Westport.

Little Buddy getting in mischief.

Sagie at Popham Beach!! So fun.

Little Buddy learned how to stick out his tongue!! Cute little guy.

Cary is so neat because she knows how to make a lot of things that I have been curious about but have never made.  One being Kombucha.  I know it might look super questionable but you eat yogurt and sourdough bread don't you!! Also weird and start with a "mother."
The mass in the jar is the mushroom and you can take one of those or part of one to start keep your own kombucha at home.  There is a recipe to start your own mushroom, but if you can get a mushroom even better.  I haven't figured out quite how often you change it out but its seems like every month or so Cary bottles all her Kombucha and brews a new sweet tea to add to the mushroom.
She is sending us home with a mushroom and I am super excited to have my own.

Did I mention they are the hippie sort and live in a school bus?

Here is one of our first outings without dad after we arrived in Maine, we visited Bath the town over where Sea works.

Well I am mourning all my lost pictures.  I am happy to be able to share these with you.

Warmly,
Sarah

Nine Months in a Nutshell.

SO many thing!!
LITTLE BUDDY had a birthday party!!
He loves dads motorcycle and to go on little rides down the street, so for his birthday we got him a few little motorcycles.
He was so happy.
He says "RRrrrrroooommmm RRrooom" and drives them around.
Grandma sent him a super cool firefighter truck and track and he loves that too.
Anyway our party was small and exclusive? nooooo. haha.
Me and Sea thought low key would make buddy so happy.
My wonderful friends Ashley and Blake came with her son Tripten.
Everything was perfect.

Sage had a long year of adjusting to sharing mom and dad time as well as her room, and her quality of sleep with little buddy.  She has done it gracefully and we thought she deserved something all her own.
She has been in a ballet/tap class for a few months now.
The class runs with the school year, so we have practice practice practice this week until her recital this Friday.
These are some of her friends and they are all in their recital dresses for pictures this day..

Dad and Sage go on dates and do special cool things, sometimes I don't even know what.  Well I form an idea when I come home and candy sugar is all over the floor haha.
This is a rare glimpse into their most recent date.
What a beautiful girl.

Grandma sent us chalk and,, we need more.
Seadyr thinks its a great antacid and sage really loves making hopscotch and helping me blend colors.
She says, "Some orange here, a little yellow, and kiss it with some pink."
Yes! shes so fun.

My afore mentioned bestie Ashley took me backpacking!!! Whaaat! Im so lucky!!!
Her and Blake really treated me with the VIP service and they wanted to make sure I got thoroughly addicted to the outdoors like they are.  It totally worked!!  I cannot wait to do it again, and go somewhere new.
I don't like taking pictures as much as I like looking at them so I have only these for you; this is the info board at the trail head.
Biology and Geology have sort of awakened an interest in plant families and names, and that's why I captured the board.

Also, Big New Bears--
Seabury accepted a summer internship in Bath, Maine.
So we are finally getting some adventure around here!!
He left this morning with the basic things we will use there, oops, he forgot plates and cookware...oh well too late. haha.
This is him getting ready yesterday, packing as healthy as he can, fruits and sandwiches.

We had a get together yesterday night so we could all say goodbye.
I love our friends here in Idaho!!

(Oh Im flying out next month with the kiddos because I have to wrap up a few things around here, mail etc., Sage has her recital on Friday, I have a big dentist appointment, and Ashley and I are backpacking a hot spring called GoldBug. Busy Month.)

Sage and Mom taking pictures for dad

Little Buddy being so cutesey.

and this is the haul.
He made a bed in the X terra.  Some things we packed: pillows, blankets, a pack and play, my hiking backpack that holds Seadyr, an Ukulele, and his motorcycle so he can get to work while we explore!!

See you in four weeks Seabury!!

Besides that I have finished my second year at ISU, I am so happy to be cruising right along.  I've got two more years of classes and one more semester after that of student teaching and then I'm doneskis!!
Seabury has finished his (double take, whhhattt) THIRD year at ISU and he should graduate next year.
College is so fun.

That's our last nine months in a nutshell :)

Love and Light,
Sarah

Catching up

There is allot going on in the Zolman house these days, and I don't want to miss out recording all these beautiful memories any longer!
So I stole Seabury's phone and sent myself some pictures from as far back as his photo gallery went.
I have some catching up to do.
I also dusted off the ole camera and decided that I will make a greater effort to take pictures, capturing all the special moments around here.

Here we go a modge podge of pictures.

Soon after we got married we found out
....Surprise ending....
We're pregnant! Which was very exciting for all of us.  Not really planning children and getting surprised by one anyway is fun and exciting.  We both thought, "

We are so excited thinking about the new baby!!
