We arrived in Chicago after a three day journey by car. We have settled in now and have begun exploring. There are so many place to see and things to do. I hope our short time here is long enough to take it all in.

the baptism this last Saturday was a beautiful warm fall day. Jared was all smiles throughout the day and enjoyed his experience. After the baptism we went to the zoo and walked around temple square. It was a wonderful day.

I know it has been forever since I have posted to this blog. I apologise.
I plan on taking the time this week to update it.
Thanks, Susan

I have finally reached the ripe old age of 30, (gasp) but seriously its not so bad. I have discovered some of those dreaded silver hairs, and I am sure there are more coming. But I look back and cannot believe it has gone by so quickly. Life seemed to take forever, and now it seems to short. I decided to take some time out and do some things I love. Its easy to get caught up in life and forget to take time for yourself. Life is not a spectator sport!!

Today was Aspen's special day. She was baptized by her father. Josh was very excited and was beaming with pride. We love her so much and are proud of her.

Aspen's eighth birthday party!

Soft white sandy beach!!! AHHHHH!

when we first walked down to the beach we were stunned by how soft the sand was, its like powder. Josh said its even softer than the beaches in Hawaii. The water is a beautiful turquoise blue. The kids wasted no time in building sandcastles, and they even set up there very own sea weed garden. The only casualty in the move from Dominica to the Bahamas was Jared's sand pail. He ran as fast as he could from the water to the sand castle, not much water made it. We have since replaced the pail, reliving Jared's frustration.
