Our June 2013

Grandpa H and Grandma V came into town for Baby E's blessing (next post!).  They took us to the farm at Thanksgiving Point.  We had a lot of fun.  Cupcake rode a horse for the first time and we all got to milk a cow too!

We went to the zoo with Aunt N and her two cute little boys.  The night before I had the girls make binoculars for easy scouting of all the animals! It was a really fun activity to do together and they actually used them at the zoo too!
This was baby E's first time at the zoo!  She loved being outside!

I organized a community yard sale for my neighborhood in June.  I stayed up late the night before making all of the signs.
We had a decent turn-out.  I made about $130 and Princess sold otterpops, which were a huge hit, and made $16!  She couldn't believe it!  She was VERY excited!  She used the money to buy a new fairy toy.

At one of our favorite lunch spots, Cafe Rio, with our favorite friends!

Playtime at our house usually gets really messy and often times involves almost all the toys we own!  Here are the girls making a "house" in the kitchen:
Then one day  they wanted to play beauty salon with Mommy as their model!  So I let them do my hair and makeup and then we took selfies of course. Yeah- so beautiful! ;)

Lots of sisterly love this month!  Lots of playing and laying together.  Cuties!!

I love Princesses ever expanding artistic talents and imagination!  These are dresses she designed for her My Little Ponies.
It was my job she said was to sew real versions of them all.  Rrrr, yeah I'll get right on that.  But really, I wish I could make something so awesome to bring her ideas to life!

Awesome toddler fashion this month!

Princesses 3rd year of swimming lessons!  She did awesome as always!!
Cupcake had a hard time waiting around.
She is excited for this summer (2014) because she will finally get to go to swimming lessons too!

Enjoying an Icee on a hot summer day after a visit to the splash pad. By the way- in this picture Cupcake is wearing one of my outfits from when I was two!  So cute and retro!

I got free advance screening tickets to Despicable Me 2!  It was Cupcake's very first movie in a movie theater!

Baby E had too much fun and fell asleep in the middle of playing:

Memories from May 2013

Here is the rest of our May 2013.  I got the best Mother's Day card from Princess that she made at preschool.  It made me laugh so much!

Cupcake learned to play some simple computer games.  She was obsessed with this Sesame Street game that sang "Twinkle Little Star".  Her favorite part was when the moon would pop up.

She was also a big fan of shoes and putting them on herself.

Lovin' her new Minnie Mouse shades:

Awesome blanket fort hair:

Out to lunch with Grandma M at In N Out:

Impromptu pajama photo-shoot before bed!

Tummy time!

The day Baby E was show and tell at preschool!

Shopping with mommy:

I took Princess and Cupcake to an outdoor movie for their first time.  It was windy and chilly but so much fun!

We painted our red kitchen:
...to light blue.
SOOO much better!  Now the next step is to paint the cabinets white!

After 2 years I FINALLY found a frame I liked for Cupcake's birth announcement.  I love to display the girls' birth announcements in their room!

And I tried a Pinterest snack that was a huge hit with the kids!  "Fishing" for Goldfish crackers with celery and peanut butter!

Preschool Graduation

Wow!  Look out world!  We have a preschool graduate on our hands! It was so cute to see Princess with her little class friends- some of which she has been with for 2 years.  And we have completely loved her teacher Miss A.

Here is our teacher gift we made for her:

They did a fun little program in the park.  Here they are lining up before it started:

Class of 2013 and eventually- 2026!!  (Wow that feels forever far away!)

With her best friend K:

And yummy refreshments:

We are so proud of you Princess and your love for learning!

When we got home we had our second annual Welcome to Summer surprise.  With a few new and old favorite summer toys:

Then the little kids took naps and Princess and I went outside to play and enjoy the warm weather.

And something else exciting happened on this day; Princess finally learned how to pump on a swing all by herself!! It was such a neat parenting moment to see her gain independence and see the joy on her face.   I guess once you graduate Preschool- you can do anything!
