We have had an iPhone in our drawer for a few months deciding if Jon or I would use it. For my birthday Jon got me a lens for the iPhone camera and said he made the decision for me to use it. I was hesitant because I have used android phones for years. It has been kind of fun getting to know a new phone system. And the lens Jon got me is cool. Here are some pictures of the kids eyes I took with the macro lens.

Happy 7th birthday Lily bug
Our sweet little Lily turned 7 on June 22nd. We had a great time celebrating. We went to Build a Bear so that she could build a palace pet. She chose Cinderella's dog Pumpkin. But she renamed her Snowy. Snowy also got 4 shoes and skates and a leash so that Lily can pull her around. Lily loves stuffed animals. She collects them and she loves them all. We went to Barnes and Noble to get a couple of books so that she can continue getting better at reading. At Barnes and Noble she got a free cookie for her birthday and we did a free craft of making rubber band cars. Lily chose Smash Burger for lunch and they gave her a free shake. She said she loved her hamburger. Then we went to Trafalga and played arcade games, lazer tag, bumber boats, bowling, miniature gold and the pirate ship. We came home just in time to get ready for her friend party. She had 6 friends over for a stuffed animal and movie night. They all made "Sleeping pouches" for their stuffed animals by lacing up the sides of some felt material. Then they watched My Little Pony movies and had treats. On Sunday, Lily chose tacos and burritos for her birthday meal. She decided to make her own birthday cake. She chose a tie dye cake and had a lot of fun making it. We invited family over for cake and ice cream. We are so lucky to have Lily in our family. She is such a sweet, sweet girl. She is always thing of others. She loves helping out. She has a tender heart. I love her smile and her beautiful little face.
Ava is 4
Ava
turned 4 on May 10th. She is such a fun girl. She says the cutest and funniest things. She is always making us laugh. She loves to put on cafume (perfume) and dress up girly. She likes to give mom squishy hugs and she is such a momma's girl. She can also be very stubborn. Ava looks a lot like I did when I was her age. And she has a lot of the same personality traits. She doesn't like anything scary. Like: big rides at amusement parks or even swings or big slides at a normal park, bugs, the dark, scary things in movies. She loves to sing primary songs and absolutely loves being a Sunbeam in church. She is very social and always wants to have a friend over to play. Her latest love was the Disney movie Frozen. She loved Elsa and wanted an Elsa dress and doll for her birthday. Both of these items were impossible to find. We ended up going shopping with Nancy for fabric to make an Elsa Dress and it turned out beautiful. I found an Elsa doll by going to Toys R Us and having them ship me a doll from another store. We did a princess party with her friends for her birthday. We had twelve little princesses here. My mom and Andy stayed to help me since Jon was at work. We made crowns and necklaces, played some games and had a tea party. It turned out very cute. Lily even got to stay home from school for the party. As a family we went to dinner at Pizapcay (that's Ava's way of saying Pizza Pie Cafe). And we went to the Discovery Gateway museum in Salt Lake with BreAnna and Marshall and Adrie. They all loved the museum and the best part was they let us all in free for Ava's birthday, that was a nice surprise. On Mother's day we had a family BBQ and party for Mother's and Ava's birthday. Aunt Bambie made Ava an amazing Frozen cake.

Potty talk
While going through the parade of homes we had to use the occasional port a potty. After one stop Calvin shared to us his 3 worst fears. Which were: port a pottys, snakes, and drowning. And then he said his very worst fear would be sitting in a port a potty filled with snakes that was sinking in the ocean.
Ava was using the potty the other day and she is always very vocal when in the bathroom. Usually she yells, "I'm done" or she is known for saying "focus, focus." This time she yells, "Mom, I can't get it out." I holler back, "Sorry Ava, I can't help you with that. You need to drink more water and eat more fruit." Without missing a beat she yells back, "Well, then bring me a cup of water and a grape." We couldn't stop laughing.
