Fun Weekend

This last weekend was a blast. I had the camporee and then as soon as I got home I had to finish helping Kari get ready for the party. She did awesome getting everything ready. It allowed us to just have some fun. It was a blast to have all of the family here come and hang out. We had hamburgers and hotdogs no big deal but Kari made one totally awesome cake. I ate about 1/3 of the cake myself, YUMMY!!!!! check it out on the slide show. I took a 55 gallon barrel and made it a fire bucket, it needed some vent holes so I took my plasma cutter and went to work. You would think just some slash vents or maybe some circles, nope. I went full out and ended up with sorensen, a witch, a jackolantern, frankenstein, spongebob, and some other fun stuff in there, I guess I just don't know when to quit. The kids liked the fire barrel, i just don't know if they liked the fire or the fun designs on the barrel. The spooky entrance was black lighted and the spider webs glowed, the flash just killed the look. Hope you all have a great Halloween, BOOO. I love our family!

Stake Camporee

This last weekend I had a stake camporee. We got up there and had to hike in in the dark, that's what flash light are for. It is a good thing we were familiar with the area. The boys had a blast you can check my other blog for more info.

Pumpkin fun

Last Tuesday for mutual we had a combined activity, we had a jack-o-lantern carving competition. This was my entry, I was the only leader to carve a pumpkin, I won third place. I think they were just being nice to the ym/yw because this rocks, and how can Sponge Bob not be number 1! Sponge Bob OUT!

Gallbladder out

Last Monday Kari had her Gallbladder removed. She is doing well still a little sore, we are not sure yet what effects it will have for her overall health but she seems to have already gotten rid of some of her back and side pain. We will see how it goes with the rest.

Utah

We had a great trip this last week. We left on Friday night late and swung by Mom and Dad's camp to pick up dad's bike. Nat was there so we talked for a bit. Kari was feeling uckie so I let her sleep in the truck. We were going to stop in Page for the night but all of the Hotels were full there and in Kanab so we stayed in this sweet hostel that sleeps 2.

It is actually just the truck some where between Kanab and Penguich. I slept for about three hours and then drove the rest of the way up to Lehi. Kari was feeling a little better by then.

Kevin and I went riding that afternoon, it was a total blast on this sweet single track up in the mountains.

Kari and I spent Mon-Thurs helping Kirk and Erica with their house painting, shelving, ect....here is Kari and Livvy tapeing

I got to riding with Eric and Kevin on the single track again on Tuesday night and I do mean night. It was twighlight when we started and we were fully riding by our lights about half way through. We took a wrong turn and got a little lost but we had a total blast. I am looking forward to going back in May next year. We had a good trip, thank you to the families that we stayed with and for all of those yummy home cooked meals we had at Bro and sis's homes. Love ya all.
