FOUND

Wedding ring is now safe and sound. Alex was the HERO yesterday. It was laundry day and he was helping me sort the clothes and was feeling especially helpful. He ran and grabbed my hamper and he and Analeigh sorted all of those clothes too. When Alex got to the bottom of the basket he noticed something down there and lo, and behold it was my ring!! I was right there, but he yelled "MOM, YOUR RING!" and we all did a little happy dance. Woo-hoo! Yea for Alex...for finding the ring and for being such a big helper with the laundry!
*Funny note-Alex ran and grabbed the camera and had me put the ring back in the bottom of the hamper so he could take a picture and I could put it on the blog, haha.
**Another note- I had done ALL of the laundry last week (since losing the ring) and had never found it there...weird

There it was, right at the bottom

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Baseball
This spring we signed Alex up for a baseball team. Scott enjoyed playing baseball when he was young, so he was excited about having Alex try it out. There is a fantastic league here that is totally FREE. The sponsors cover all of the cost. Practically unheard of. We were especially happy about that fact.
I think Alex had a pretty good time with it this season. It was kind of a slow game for him. He has been playing soccer for so long that standing out in a field waiting for a ball to (never) come to him was not exactly his idea of a great time. But he made some great hits and learned a new sport and got better with each practice and game. We will see next year if he wants to play again or not.
Here are a couple of pictures from the end of season picnic.

8 Months Old

Here's our girl #2 --- 8 months old and such a sweetie!!
She can wave, and babble mama and dada and even anna...i think it will be a while before we get an "alex" out of her
She chews on her blankies to go to sleep
She will even chew on her brother and sister's socks if she finds them laying around-haha
She army crawls everywhere
She pulls herself to standing in her crib and to her knees everywhere else
She absolutely loves to swim! When we get in the pool with her she just kicks and kicks and babbles away. I think if I let go of her in the pool she would stay afloat with the amount of kicking she does--but I'm not gonna chance it!
