5 years.....and still goin strong!!

So today is Shannon and I's five year wedding anniversary! It seems like it hasn't been that long...maybe time passes faster when you are having fun! I love him lots and definitely couldn't ask for a better husband, supporter, and father to my child!! I'm happy he has put up with my airheaded ways this long....hopefully eternity won't seem too much longer for him! Love you sweetie....here's hoping we make it five years more...(kidding!) Sadly enough this photo is the only family pic we got together...we are getting some taken real soon! We also got married back in the day when you didn't get your wedding pics on CD, so I don't have those on the computer either!!

Happy Birthday McKinley!

Yesterday one of my favorite little girls in the world, my neice McKinley, turned four. I was down in Idaho doing hair for a couple days so I got to swing by on my way home and go to her birthday party!! She is so much fun to have around...I love all her stories, her incessant talking, and her vibrant personality!! She never ceases to make me laugh! Love you McKinley! Happy Birthday! Here are some pictures of the party....opening presents
blowing out her candles
with her cake
Red Heads Unite! My brother Garrett has a fascination with combing Easton's hair in different ways. His two favorite being combing it all the way over (like in this picture, kinda hard to tell cuz I just cut it and it is kinda short) and in a mohawk.

American Idol & Benihana...what could be better?

So on Tuesday night we left this little maggot for six hours to attend the American Idol concert...

We decided we have to do the ultimate dining experience first by going to Benihana.....what could be better than a Chinese guy doing tricks with food and utensils right in front of you?

Shannon, Marc, Hailey, Chan, and half of Ang at Benihana
We were then a little late to the concert and missed Chikezie sing....
but we got even better entertainment from a certain almost four year old dancing in the aisles!

not a very good picture of it but it was pretty funny to see her swaying her hands back and forth and dancing the whole time!

Michael Johns

Carly
Brooke
The bottom 6
two nerds (a.k.a. me & Shannon)
Hailey, Whitney, Sadie (Whitney's friend) Angie, Chan, & McKin at the concert during intermission
Jason Castro
Syesha
the one and only David Archuleta who I could hardly hear because teenage Utah girls were screaming as loud as humanly possible for him the WHOLE TIME!
and the american idol....David Cook
The whole gang

This was my little sister Whitney's second time going to the concert because she had the rare privelege of going to the Hollywood concert and meeting all the idols backstage! (spoiled child..you can check out whitney's blog if you want to see pics with her and all the contestants) Overall, it was a great concert, a fun night, and quality time with my hubby, sisters, and brother-in-laws!

4th of July weekend in Idaho/Taylorsville daze

Two weekends ago we went to Taylorsville Daze with the Andersons. First, we had a barbecue at my Aunt Jan and Uncle Dave's house then went to the amazing fireworks show! It was lots of fun- thanks Bakers and Andersons!
Last weekend we continued the festivities and enjoyed our three day weekend in Idaho. We went to Aberdeen first and hung out with my family for the fourth. We started the day by going boating a little bit but then the wind started to pick up so we docked the boat and had a little picnic on the beach (haha really Aberdeen boat dock)! We had planned on going to a beach in the first place but didn't want to get stranded like we had a couple years ago when it got crazy windy! We came back and showered then decided to do a golf scramble at Hazard Creek...I don't think I did too bad for not having golfed for quite a while! We then went back to the house and had a great tri-tip dinner and celebrated mine and Chandler's birthdays! Saturday we went to Rexburg with the Lucas family, went and saw Hancock and had a picnic at Porter Park. We had a wonderful dinner on Sunday and then headed back home to Utah! It was a really fun weekend!

Happy birthday Chan & Tan!

This post is coming a little late but I just wanted to wish my little brother Tanner and my brother-in-law Chandler happy birthday!
Tanner is on a mission in Detroit, Michigan right now and is doing so well and being such a great missionary we love him and miss him lots...I'm a bad sister and have been consumed with house decorating and summertime and have not sent him a birthday package but will get around to it eventually......
Chandler is married to my sister Angie he is a great bro-in-law and such a good dad to his two girls (plus one on the way)! Poor guy is surrounded by girls all day long, but handles it oh so well!

I've had a lot of fun sharing my birthday celebrations with these two! Love ya! Happy Birthday!
