Old and New Pictures

Carter loves climbing into boxes. Here he is in the blocks

His Buddy Mikey wanted to do it too

"Hey, get me outta here!"

Bath Time is always a favorite time at our house

The Little Cowboy

Carter found a Reisens candy in my room. HE never got the wrapper off, but he still managed to eat all the chocolate inside.

Our neighbor and good friend Honor who just moved last weekend.

I just had to add these pictures to prove that we DO get snow in Texas. The boys thought it was great. Too bad it didn't stick around long.

Isn't he so cute all bundled up?

Family's Visit

My family (minus my older brother and sister) all flew down to visit. It was so great to see them. It meant alot to have them come visit. Our boys definitely enjoyed themselves.

I woke Corbin up to say Hi to everyone, even though it was almost midnight

Getting to meet my new nephew for the first time.

Isn't he so adorable?

Chuck'E'Cheese's
Corbin has been asking me to take him back to Chuck'E'Cheese's for a very long time. What a perfect opportunity. Turned out to be super fun for my family. All the guys thought it was great to have an excuse to go play arcade games and act like a kid again.

Washington on the Brazos State Park

Carter did not want to get off the ox cart ride. He went again and again, just with different people.

This was us on the carriage ride. They had a fancy stage couch but we didn't get to go on that.

Minature Horse Monastary
We have visited the little horses several times and they have not been a bit hit. This time, Carter loved them. He could not get enough. He wanted to pet them and stick his fingers in their nose, mouth and eyes. It is a good thing they are tame and very friendly

This is a six month old colt. It was very friendly.

We stayed at Lake Conroe at my parents timeshare. It was nice to all be together. I don't have many pictures from up there though

My Climbers

I'm sure there are a few people who read this who can attest to the fact that I(Andrew) was a climber as a kid. Well Corbin and Carter have gotten that from me. Carter could climb onto and off of the dresser before he could even walk. Here is the latest.
We turned our backs and Corbin put all his toys on the top shelf of the 6ft tall bookcase so that Carter wouldn't be able to get to them. We think he use the back of the chair to balance on and put them up there.

Our Early Christmas

There are just a few things that can't wait. This Christmas our big presents fell into that category. They just couldn't wait under a tree.

Tiffany has been debating picking back up music for a long time. We decided that this was the year for her to try. She decided that she would try the violin. In high school she played both the cello and the viola. A cello is just too big for our little apartment, and there isn't all that much music for a viola. It will also probably be easier to find a teacher for the violin. So we set out to buy a violin.

Shopping for the violin was exhausting. There is only one store in town that deals with violins. We made a few trips there to look and get advice, but we were not quite ready to lay down the grand or two for the violins that they were selling. So to eBay we go. Wow they were selling for as cheap as $70 with a bunch of accessories. Looked like great deals until we did the research on them. Every website that had reviews said to avoid eBay for violins, and the violins sold there were expensive kindling that resembled violins. My favorite review said, "These are the quality you would expect to see wrapped in cellophane at Walmart, if Walmart dealt in musical instruments."

Luckily, while were were shopping we found a name brand violin. Actually it as a name brand recommended by the violinist in the shop in town. I won't give the play by play, but we eventually won it, after nerve racking bidding. Then we had tons of trouble paying for it because pay pal didn't want to cooperate, but we eventually got it. We took it into the shop and they said that it was money well invested.

Andrew's big present doesn't have a long story. He's been begging for a big monitor for a long, long time, and now he finally has it. Great day after thanksgiving sales online. Since monitors have a very limited 30 day return policy, I just had to open it up and make sure that it works and doesn't need to be returned. It works great by the way. I love it. So much screen real estate, and anyone who has seen how I work can attest to the fact that I need it.

Christmas in the Park

Last week we went to a Christmas in the Park celebration in Bryan (our sister city) It was actually cold (50degrees) I had to go and buy Corbin a coat, and Carter a hat and gloves. I hope we will get to use them more than this one time. It really makes me laugh how desperate Texans can be when it comes to wanting a traditional Chrismas experience. They had covered a hill with man-made snow and you could go sleddding. It was a three hour wait to go down the hill one time. We didn't bother with that. All Corbin could talk about was seeing Santa. He didn't want to do anything else, just see Santa to make sure he knew he wanted a train for Christimas(he must not have a million already) The dads generously waited in the Santa line

while the mamas tooks the kids to jump on the inflatable castles and some of the other activities.

We finally made it to the front of the line to see Santa.

As soon as it was out turn to sit on Santa's lap Corbin went into Hysterics and did not want to go anywhere near Santa. Carter started crying when he saw Corbin. We got one very unhappy Santa picture. Corbin says he wants to try again. We'll let Grandma take him next time.
