.............. because of three reasons:
1. Halloween!!!!! I love, love, LOVVVEEE the Halloween season!
2. It's Ryan's Birthday month and I love any excuse to spoil him rotten!
3. Haunted Houses!!
Every year, if I have time, I try to add more to my already big Halloween decorations.
This year I added this:
Halloween decor balls! Every time I say "Halloween balls" ....Ryan laughs. Yes, I have a real mature husband. Anyways.....I am happy how they turned out.
The new obsession this year was a Halloween Village. I absolutely love my Christmas village, and enjoy it all Christmas season. Why has it took me so long to get a Halloween village? Well, they aren't as easy to find and can get REALLY expensive! Most I found were $100 plus for ONE little house!! CRAZY!! So then the hunt began, I spent hours searching stores and Internet sites for these little spooky houses. After a month of searching (I started looking in the beginning of August) I finally found some I loved at Micheal's Crafts, and they were more affordable. Ryan let me buy one to start off my collection. But you can't have a village with only ONE house, so I HAD to get more! So the searching continued, in hopes to find some a little cheaper than the ones at Micheal's. My searching was not in vain, I found an awesome website that sold the exact same brand as Micheal's did, but they had a Clarence section!! I was in heaven! I got four more and found lots of happy scary figures too!

The Zombie Cafe!
I like the little guy on top munching on the leg.
The Haunted House decked out with Halloween decor! Along with my Headless Horse man and Were- Wolf howling at the moon!
Frankenstein loves to hangout at the grave yard with the Grim Reaper.
The Sheriff Station filled with cowboy skeletons....
Endless love.....awweee, how sweet!
Grimsley's House of Halloween Decor and Mr. Mummy.....
The Monster Truck full or MONSTERS! =0)
My favorite, the Dingy Dungeon Pub!
I love my spooky little town! It will be so fun to put it up every year!
For Ryan's birthday, I wanted to make Ryan a great cake! But as you have seen in previous posts, my cake making skills need a lot of work. I owe a huge THANKS to my dearest friend, Becky, who offered to help me make Ryan's cake. Let me just tell you how much I love this girl! We've been besties since High School, we studied and played hard together during the college years, and she basically hooked me and Ryan up! I will forever be in debt to her for that! Not only is she one of my most favorite people in the world, she is one of the craftiest creative gals I know as well! Thank you Becky for all your help and for always being a great Friend! I love ya to death!
Becky did most of the work, she baked the cakes beforehand so they were ready to frost by the time I made it to her house! And I learned so much, she is just a great teacher! I might (maybe?) could make another like it in the future by myself. We'll just have to see about that when that day comes......
That blue frosting was SOOOOO dang good. Man oooh man! I could eat that stuff all day long! By the time we were done, our months were bright blue cause we kept eating it.
We made the cake 2 days before Ryan's big day, I wish I could of saved it for his real Birthday, but our schedule just wouldn't allow that. I surprised him the very next day and he LOVED IT!! Who wouldn't love it....it's pretty AWESOME!
When Ryan cut the cake, he couldn't cut through the "S", he said it was just too cool to ruin.
Not only did it look awesome on the outside and inside.......it sure tasted yummy! Way better than any store bought cake. I never did like those.
I've been going to Haunted House since I was in grade school. I remember the first one I went to was the original Rocky Point right by Pleasant View. From what I remember, it was the best one I've ever been too! I don't know if it was cause it was my first or maybe the atmosphere was just really good.
Last year we went to Castle of Chaos.....and it was horrible. Who wants to pay $20.00 a person to wait in line for HOURS for two crappy haunted mazes that lasted 10 minutes? It was so hot, stinky, and too crowded everywhere you went, and the "actors" were teenagers that looked like the spent a whole 5 minutes putting on their make-up. If you are a Haunted house goer....do not go there! Waste of time and money! But do go to FEAR FACTORY!!! So fun! One of the best Haunted Houses I have ever been too! We got lucky and got a VIP pass for the price of general admission, which meant we got to cut the line, get a free water bottle (wah-hoo), and get FREE pictures!
This one's my fav.....it makes me laugh!
A rotting bloody foot....ewwwww, yum!
Lets see how high we can jump....
How I love October! It is defiantly a great month.
And there's even more fun to come......
