So much cute stuff

I decided that I don't really care much for Valentines as an actual holiday, but their sure are a lot of cute things associated with it. Even though I don't have kids yet, I am sure I could find someone to make one of these lovlies for. 

Valentines Cookies

 On Wed night, we had a class activity and decorated Valentine's cookies. The girls are so creative, and I think they had fun making them. I am so glad I get to be in Laurels with these great girls. It's fun because I am only a few years older than them, so we all get along great!

Last minute VT

 Yes, it is the 30th, and I am doing my VT for the month. I couldn't decide on anything, and finally stopped by the cupcake shop. Of course, more tags.. I am on one of those kicks. So, if you are like me and need ideas for a VT handout, feel free to use this. I also included a recipe for Yellow Cupcakes, and a quote for February VT'ing. Valentines Tag

I got a little ahead of myself and started making Valentines tags for my Visiting Teachies gifts. Good thing it's still January, which means that I am behind for this month, and ahead for next month. This is great progress considering that last month was the first time I have gone this year.. Whoops.
I was pretty proud of how cute they turned out, so I am blogging it. Boring I know, but here you have it. I googled Victorian Valentines, and found the first image. Then I glued it onto these tags I got from the scrapbook store,  and then added some Martha Stewart glitter to the leaves. TADA.

Baby Ethan

 Is there anything more precious than a newborn?! I am so blessed to be able to see my sister's kids come into this world. While some might think it's weird or gross to watch, I think it's such a touching experience. Right as little Ethan came out, I was instantly flooded with emotions and started to cry. All these thoughts and feelings of losing my niece Makenna, not having my dad there, and just so happy this baby was finally here. It's crazy to think that last January I lost my dad, and this January, we got this sweet baby. It makes me really thankful for trials and blessings in my life.

My sister's friend is getting married this Saturday, and they asked me to design the wedding invites. No big deal, right?! Wow, that is a HUGE deal-- and not because I am so great and am flattered that they would trust me to do it, but for my lack of creativity and experience. After hours of working on it, I came up with this. I am actually relieved it turned out so well, and it ended up matching the brides engagement picture really well!

Craziest thing EVER!

6 weeks later, we are sitting in the Stake Center. Rich was going through some pics he had taken of the Ace Hotel, where he'd been staying on a recent business trip to Portland. I looked down and see the picture above! He had taken an almost exact shot of the one that I had repinned 6 weeks earlier! CRAZY. He had never seen any of my pins on Pinterest! Eerie right?!
