One year ago today, I stopped by Walgreens on my way to work and picked up a Pregnancy Test!
My plan was to wait until I got home that night and take it with Eric but I couldn't wait any longer!!
I went in the bathroom and waited for the answer. I swear it took longer than a minute.
"Pregnant"
What?? Am I reading this right??
Oh no!! What's Eric going to say??
Yay!!! I'm SO excited!!!!
Wait, did I Really get pregnant that fast??
I can't WAIT to tell Eric and my family!!
I had many thoughts run through my head in a matter of seconds.
I took a picture of the test and text it to Eric!!
He immediately called me and what a relief...he wasn't even mad. He was actually excited!!
I think we were both really excited and a bit relieved.
As some of you know, we were a little worried that I wasn't going to get pregnant very fast if at all based on my past.
Eric wanted to wait a year before we started trying and I wanted to start trying right away, but because we were scared that it might never happen, we decided to stop protecting hoping that I would get pregnant within a year.
Two weeks later...as Eric put it "I put one past the goalie"
Although this isn't the way we planned or thought things would go, we are SO happy it all happened the way it did.
38 weeks and 3 days later...the Lord blessed us with a healthy baby boy!!
