My Mom had a Birthday on Saturday! She's officially SIXTY now! Wow. Haha, just kidding Mom. Anyway, we decided to do something a little bigger than just a little party, though that's what we let her think. Hehe. It's my niece, Sophie's Birthday that day too, so we did a little Party for the 2 of them, we had cupcakes and presents. Done. Well that's not it, we had invited a bunch of people to come over from 1 to 3, Open House style, to wish my Mom a Happy Birthday! My sister Robyn put together a slide show with a bunch of adorable songs and a ton of pictures of my Mom's childhood to now, and then ones of all of her kids from little to now. We also did some songs together that Robyn put on the slide show too, Juli and I did a duet of "Mama He Crazy" by the Judd's with our guitars, it was way fun. Then Robyn sang "Desperado", those are just some songs my Mom use to sing with the group she use to perform with when we were little. My aunt brought over so much food from her Christmas Party and My brother Ryan ordered a Marzipan cake that we use to always have at my Oma's Birthday Parties. Yummo! There was a good turn out at this party and it was way fun. Good thing too, because my day was struggling right before everyone came. I moved my furniture so there would be room for everyone, and I also moved my tree just a bit, well it fell over and barely missed me. Ahh! TIMBER! This huge 9 foot tree, down. Ornaments and sparkles everywhere. Grrr. Randy helped me get it back up and Riley helped me fluff and redecorate the stupid thing. It felt weird to have to redecorate something that I was planning to take down right after! Oh well, I did get lots of compliments on it. Ha! It was a fun day. Afterwards, my Mom, 2 sisters and my sister in law all went to a movie while the guys stayed at my house to watch the kids, eat pizza and play Guitar Hero. We went to see 4 Christmases, which I've heard is great...but I'd have to disagree. Sorry! It for sure wasn't one of my favorites, or as my Mom would say, "Not a Keeper" meaning, we won't be buying that when it comes out. HA! Love you Mom, glad you had a good Birthday!

More Christmas!
After going to my Dad's for breakfast and then my Mom's after that, we ended up back home to have all of the Browning's over for the rest of Christmas Day. Randy's Mom made all of the grandkids capes for Christmas, they're so cute and all of the kids love running around in them! Well, we had everyone just bring snack type food so we had chicken wings frying, meatballs and Lil' Smokies in crock pots and we were watching TV when all of a sudden the power goes out! What!? Well, we called Utah Power to see how long they anticipated it being out and they said they were hurrying to get the problem resolved so it should be back up by 9:30. Huh? Oh, it was 3:30 when we called. Yeah, SIX hours! So we hung out there for not quite 2 hours and decided to take our party elsewhere. We packed all the food up and went to Randy's sister Shelley's house. Since it was snowing SO bad all day Randy left to go do his plow accounts at 6:30 that evening because the longer he waited the more impossible it was going to be to move the snow. Well, he left at 6:30 and didn't get back home until 4:30 the next day. Yep, 22 hours later! He slept for 3 hours and left again! It took them a few days to clean up and recover from that huge storm, which sucks for the lack of sleep but is great for the money made! HA.
Christmas Breakfast At Dad's
After we do Christmas with our own little families, my siblings and I all go over to our Dad's house for breakfast and to exchange presents! Riley got a game for his new Leapster from Grandma and Grandpa and Reagan got an adorable talking doll. They love their presents! When we were done at my Dad's we all went over to my Mom's house to give her a gift from all of us kids, it was a picture of each of us kids with our families, we put it in 5 frames that hung on a plaque that said, "Family" on it and each frame had ribbon on it and hung from cute knobs. It turned out really cute, so great in fact that I forgot to take a picture. HA! Oh well.
Santa Came!!!
Riley was so funny when he woke up, he came in and laid next to me in bed and said, "Mommy, wanna go eat something?" What? He forgot!? So I said, "Should we go see if Santa left you any presents first?" His eyebrows lifted, his eyes got all big and you could tell he remembered, he replied, "Yeah, let's go see!!!" So we woke Reagan up and went to the family room. Reagan ran straight to the giant Minnie Mouse that was sitting on the couch while Riley stood in the hall and peeked, I think the giant Minnie and Mickey's actually freaked him out a bit...he warmed up to them though. Ha. It was a fun morning, Christmas is so exciting with kids, just watching them and how much they love all the little gifts as much as the big, they don't care, they just want to unwrap something!
Christmas Eve with Omi and Opa
We had Christmas Eve Dinner at my step-sister Tricia's house. It was fun, she had a bunch of long tables set up and we all ate and talked for a while, then my Mom and Dave gave all of their grandkids presents. Riley got these two cool Batman remote control cars and Reagan got an adorable cash register. Afterwards we just hung out and played Guitar Hero. Fun!
The Beckstead Christmas Party!
R
Every year my step-mom's family does their Christmas Party at her brother's house in Bountiful where we do a potluck and after we eat Santa comes! It's always been a way fun party but it seems to get better and better with kids! This year I wasn't sure how Riley or Reagan would react to Santa but Riley was so cute, he sat right in front and kept raising his hand to talk, he was so excited. I felt bad for him though because his gift was the very last out of the bag and he was done waiting so he was downstairs when Santa called his name. I ran down to get him and told him Santa had a present for him, well he was sitting on the table so he jumps right off the table to run upstairs, he was so excited that he landed right on his head instead of his feet! So after all that happy waiting I ended up getting the same type of picture as every other year, Riley sitting on Santa's lap looking all sad. Reagan was happy to watch Santa from a distance but wasn't sure about sitting on his lap. she did love her little Minnie Mouse she got though. It was a fun night.

BOLT! The movie
Yesterday Riley kept telling me he wanted to go to the movies. I said I'd start a movie for him and he said, "No, I want to GO to the movie." Cute that he knows the difference from watching a movie and going to the movies, huh?
One more family came in right before the show started and their seats were only 2 chairs away from us, Riley saw a little boy his age and said, "Look it's my friend." So we had them introduce themselves to eachother. Well, the little boy Cayden came over and sat by Riley when the movie had maybe 20 minutes left and they sat and watched the movie while eating Riley's candy together. Cute. When he was sitting next to us he looked so familiar and I wondered if he went to Riley's preschool with him so I asked his Mom when the show was over. Sure enough, they're in the same class. Riley was serious when he called Cayden his friend, he really knew him! Crazy that my kid is 3 and we're already running into people he knows. HA!
