Get Inspired! EOTD feat Shy Guy

E per la serie 'Chi non muore si rivede!' eccomi qui di rientro da un paio di settimane out of town...

Sto lavorando ad alcune bozze e per non lasciare il blog abbandonato,vi mostro un look che avevo fotografato settimane fa, peccato che dalle foto non si noti la differenza (per quanto non abissale) tra i due ombretti...e anche stavolta un irriconoscibile Behemoth Aleguaras, sìì (vabbè, è colpa di un pelino di layering)!!

Get Inspired! EOTD feat Darling Girl - Misread

Buongiorno!!!

Non so da voi, ma qui pare che la primavera sia finalmente arrivata :)))
Oggi vi mostro un trucco molto semplice che ho realizzato un paio di giorni fa - ho scelto la canzone Misread dei Kings of Convenience perchè mi mette sempre di buonumore e ben si adatta a questo look 'fresco'.
(Ho cominciato a testare il sample di primer Eyeshadow Fix Pearl di Zoeva e quando lo avrò terminato ne pubblicherò la recensione)

Today I'm going to show you a very simple look I did a couple of days ago - I chose Misread by Kings of Convenience because it always puts me in a good mood and pairs really well with this 'cool' look.

Get Inspired! EOTD feat Darling Girl - A Beautiful Lie

Buon sabato!

Come vi dicevo ieri vi mostro un look molto veloce che ho realizzato con After You've Gone e Tainted Love (della collezione MILF - Matte I'd Like To Find), un viola profondo mat che mi ha conquistata per l'alta pigmentazione e sfumabilità.... purtroppo nella maggior parte delle foto risulta molto più chiaro per via della zona molto illuminata in cui ho scattato le foto ma non sono molto brava nell'editing ed ho deciso di pubblicarle comunque ....il contrasto con la matita verde teal sulla rima inferiore ha accentuato l'effetto freddo dato dall'argento ed il viola ed il tutto mi ha fatto pensare a A Beautiful Lie dei 30 Seconds To Mars...

Siate clementi! :P

As I was saying yesterday I'm going to show you a quick look I did with After You've Gone and Tainted Love (from the MILF - Matte I'd Like To Find collection), a mat deep purple that surprised me for its high pigmentation and blendability...unfortunately it looks much lighter than irl because of the overexposed area where I took the pictures but I'm not really good in photo editing and decided to post them anyway...the tealish green eyepencil on lower lashline has emphasized the cool effect given by the silver and purple combo....so it made me think of A Beautiful Lie by 30 Seconds To Mars...

Be merciful! :P

This is the only picture where Tainted Love looks quite like irl (sorry the wide-eyed look!)

E questa invece, nonostante la iper sovraesposizione, la posto solo perchè mi piaceva la definizione dell'angolo interno inferiore :P

Get Depeche Mode Inspired! Eotd feat Walking In My Shoes

L'idea di questo look mi è venuta quando Robiwan ha chiesto qualche consiglio su come utilizzare Ariel della nuova palette Sleek Lagoon e mi sono detta: "Perchè non provare? Tra i millemila ombretti avrò di sicuro dei toni simili"...infatti! :P E poichè avevo in mente un bel rosso acceso (qui è uscito fuori corallo ma vabbè!) per Walking In My Shoes nella mia serie Depeche Mode Inspired... there you go!
Robiwan spero ti piaccia - non escludo un altro tentativo con un viola più scuro e satinato come Deep Water, confesso di non aver scartabellato troppo tra i miei viola (in più in foto sembra più chiaro) ma l'effetto mi pare buono...credo sia proprio uno dei miei look più riusciti (al diavolo la modestia)!

The idea for this look came to me when Robiwan asked for suggestions on how to use Ariel from the new Sleek Lagoon palette and I said to myself: "Why not to try? I'll surely have some similar shades among my thousands pigments"...yes indeed! :P And since I had in mind a bright red (though it turned out coral here!) for Walking In My Shoes in my Depeche Mode Inspired series...there you go!
Robiwan I hope you like it - I might try again using a darker and satin purple such as Deep Water instead, I honestly didn't dig much among my purple shades (plus it looks lighter in these pictures) but  the overall look seems to be pretty good...I guess it's one of my best looks (how modest)!

5 Shades Of Christmas & Friends - Ice, Ice Baby!

Seraaaa!

Sono quasi fuori tempo massimo per partecipare a questa bellissima iniziativa di A Lost Girl (Loves make up!), Soffice Lavanda, Golden Vi0let, A Colourful Mess e Shopping and Reviews - avrei voluto aderire già da un po' ma il tempo non permetteva foto decenti (infatti credo lo rivedrete prossimamente sperando in luci migliori)...purtroppo neanche questa è un granchè, l'ho scattata con luce artificiale: può sembrare un look piatto, il fatto è che trattandosi di colori non molto accesi il gioco di sfumature è andato a farsi benedire :( Inutile dire che è stato impossibile fotografare le labbra, trattandosi di un lucidalabbra 'my lips but better'...insomma se mi passate la citazione 'Così è se vi pare!'
Trattandosi di look abbastanza frosty l'associazione (solo a livello di nome) con la canzone di Vanilla Ice mi sembrava azzeccata per dargli un titolo...

Get Inspired! Eotd feat Aleguaras Like a Hollywood Star - I Wanna Dance With Somebody

Stamattina mi sentivo proprio ispirata! Lasciando perdere il fatto che ieri sono andata a dormire col mal di testa e mi ci sono pure svegliata (per fortuna che esistono le aspirine!), stamattina avevo questa canzone  in testa e non riuscivo proprio a smettere di cantare, così....viva gli anni '80! :P (Purtroppo c'era troppa luce ed i colori sembrano sbiaditi ma non lo sono per niente....e comunque zero effetto pacchiano!)

This morning I was really feeling inspired! Putting aside the fact that yesterday I went to sleep with headache and woke up the same way (thanks God there's aspirine!), this morning I had this song in my head and couldn't stop singing it, so...yay for the '80s! :p (unfortunately there was too much light and colors look washed out but this is not the case....and no 'circus' effect! Lol)

Get Inspired! Eotd feat Aleguaras Collezione S. Valentino "Lui Lei...L'altro!" (1/2 fail)

Su richiesta di Misato-san ecco il primo look con il trio Aladdin all'opera - premetto che come dice il titolo lo considero un mezzo fail perchè ieri non ero particolarmente ispirata (di sicuro replicherò meglio ed il fatto di aver utilizzato la base Essence la dice lunga!) però immagino quanto siate curiose quindi ho pensato di postarlo lo stesso. Ho voluto usare una base neutra (non delle migliori :S) per non falsare troppo i colori ma di sicuro utilizzerò Prince Ali e Be My Fairytale sugli ombretti cremosi Project ed i Long Lasting di Kiko (a proposito, non mi sottovalutate Djinn...usato su basi colorate credo proprio che si reinventerà alla grande ;)).
Dati i personaggi ho voluto usare anche il kajal (forse un po' troppo - non sono così abitutata - ma poi ho ripulito la rima interna e sono uscita)...confesso che sarà stato sicuramente per via dei colori ma mi sentivo un po' un Mio Mini Pony :P (al solito i colori sono un po' sbiaditi, uff!)

Upon Misato-san's request, there you go with my first look featuring the Aladdin's trio - as the title says I consider it a half fail because yesterday I wasn't really in the mood (I'm going to do it better and even used Essence's eye base, so..) but I guess you're all excited to see these beauties on action so I decided to post it anyway. I used a neutral base (not the best one :S) to show you the real colors but in the next future I'm planning to use Prince Ali and Be My Fairytale with colored bases like Project and Kiko (by the way do not underestimate Djinn..used over colored bases it's going to be much fun ;)).
Because of the characters I went for kajal (I probably applied too much - I'm not that used to it - but then I wiped it off from my inner lower lashline and went out)... and because of the shades I felt a little bit like My Little Pony :P (as usual colors are a bit washed out..)

Get Inspired! EOTD feat Zero - Smashing Pumpkins + DG Glitter Glue 1st testing

Buongiorno!
Oggi vi propongo un look sfoggiato ieri, nato soprattutto per testare la Glitter Glue di Darling Girl Cosmetics, un marchio indie americano di make up minerale del quale parlerò nel dettaglio in un post a parte (sto già aspettando il terzo ordine).
La prima impressione è stata abbastanza positiva: premesso il fatto che io abbia delle palpebre cadenti, è normale per me che dopo, non so, tre o quattro ore, mi si formino le anti estetiche pieghette di colore, quindi ogni volta che provo delle basi ombretto non mi aspetto mai il miracolo ma quantomeno spero non sia stata una totale perdita di soldi. Visto che sono sempre alla ricerca del low cost che possa rendere bene e con un Inci buono ho deciso di dare una chance a questo foiling medium (dovrebbe fungere anche da aggrappante per glitters o ombretti molto glitterati) piuttosto che spendere in primer più famosi e siliconici.
Ho deciso di fare il primo test con un ombretto della Chrimaluxe, Raspberry, molto bello ma poco scrivente.
Ho applicato la solita base (primer oily lids in buff The All Natural Face) ed una micro goccia di Glitter Glue, ho provato a stendere l'ombretto ma, essendo la GG un po' appiccicosa, ho finito col picchiettare il colore (usando quindi più pigmento ma probabilmente ho sbagliato pennello perchè ne ho usato uno cicciotto, prossima volta proverò con uno a lingua di gatto) e provato a sfumarlo un po' nella piega ma con risultati un po' scarsini ma a trucco ultimato la cosa non era più visibile.
Dopo quattro ore (comprensivi di camminata di crica 30-40 minuti sotto il sole caldo) Raspberry appariva leggermente meno intenso su alcuni punti ma zero pieghette, ho ricontrollato la sera (dopo circa 10 ore dall'applicazione e di nuovo camminata di circa mezzora sotto il sole!) e qualche pieghetta si è formata, soprattutto nella prima parte (dove c'è più sfregamento di palpebra) ma onestamente ho visto di peggio! In conclusione quello che si stava profilando come un make up da total fail s'è rivelato un bel trucco, Raspberry era davvero 'potente' e nonostante qualche 'difetto' la Glitter Glue mi piace e comunque voglio provarla con altri colori e pennelli (che possono fare davvero la differenza!), sicuramente aggiornerò la recensione con i vari utilizzi... vi lascio alle foto (non molto realistiche purtroppo, i colori erano moooolto più intensi, quindi fidatevi!), la combinazione dei colori mi ha dato l'idea di un non so che vampiresco ed ho pensato che Zero degli Smashing Pumpkins calzasse a pennello :)

Here's a look I made yesterday, basically to test  Glitter Glue by Darling Girl Cosmetics, an American indie mineral make up company (I'll write a separate post to review it - waiting right now for my 3rd order!).
My first impression has been quite positive: considering my hooded eyes, it's obvious for me to find color creasing after three or four hours, so I usually tend not to expect a miracle but hope at least I didn't waste my money. Since I'm always looking for low cost stuff with nice results and possibly with a good Inci, I thought I'd give a try to this foiling medium (it should also work on glitters or very glittery shadows) instead of spending my money with some more famous and filled with silicone primers.
I decided to test it with a Chrimaluxe shadow, Raspberry, really nice but poor in pigmentation.
I applied my usual eyebase (The All Natural Face oily lids primer in buff) and a tiny drop of Glitter Glue, then tried to blend the shade but, since GG is a bit tacky, I ended up patting the color on (so used much more pigment - but I believed I used the wrong brush - a fluffy one - next time I'll use a thinner shader) and tried to blend a bit in the crease but with not so successful results. When the make up was ready you actually couldn't see it, it was overall looking pretty good!
After four hours (including 30-40 minutes walk under the hot sun) the shadow faded in some areas of the lid but no creasing, I checked again after 10 hours from application (including, again, another 30 minutes walk under the hot sun) and at this time there was some (especially on the inner lid) but hoenstly I experienced worse stuff! I mean, in the end what whas going to look as a total fail make up endend up as a gorgeous one, Raspberry was looking so rich in terms of pigmentation!
I like this Glitter Glue, even if maybe it's not perfect, but I want to test it in different situations, colors and especially brushes (they can really make the difference!), I'll be updating my review each time...
Here are the pics (unfortunately colors don't show up as bold and rich as in real life, just trust me!), this combo made me think of something vampy so I thought a song like Zero by Smashing Pumpkins could fit :)

Get Inspired! EOTD Wonderful Life

Questo look era stato pensato in modo differente (e la canzone ispiratrice era un'altra ma non la svelerò adesso, lo farò quando posterò il look 'adatto'), poi invece si è evoluto così come lo vedrete..  alla fine ho seguito l'ispirazione del momento e ne è uscito comunque uno smokey carino (che in foto non rende benissimo) e forse un po' invernale, beccatevi Wonderful Life degli Hurts (quanto mi piace!):

I had thought of this look in a completely different way (and the inspiring song was also different, but I won't say it until I'll post the 'right' look), then it evolved this way...finally I just followed what was the inspiration of the moment and the smokey look I came up with is not that bad (pictures don't do it justice), maybe 'wintery', now go listen Hurts' Wonderful Life (I love it!):

Lower lashline: Kiko Sun Mousse Eyeshadow Light Green and Aleguaras Acid Jammin' over it + Blue Heaven Indian Kajal (also on the waterline)
