Tired gets no respect (thanks Brooke and Ashley). Everybody is busy in life whether its with children or babies or looking after parents or working hard for the money. Everyone is in the same boat.
But I have a blog to whinge on so without further ado here was the weekend that was.
Saturday
6.30am. Wake up and get organised to take Bear to cricket. Come home and put some washing on. Have breakfast. Continue house work and picking stuff up in bedrooms as carpets being cleaned Monday.
11am. Go grocery shopping then pick Bear up from cricket. Get home and attempt to get children to pick up crap shoved under beds in rooms. Make Lunch.
1pm. Put tea on in the slow cooker.
2pm. Realise tea is never going to work in slow cooker start again with tea in oven.
2.45pm. Read Newspaper ahhh bliss.
3.30pm - 5.55pm. Cant remember what I did ... probably just wasted time by folding up clothes and scrubbing toilet.
6pm. Get tea on the table.
7pm. Watch TV with kids
7.55pm. Fall asleep JK not really.
Sunday
6am. Wake up and get Lulu organised for Snippers. Feed children and self breakfast.
7am. Drop Bear off to sport. Take Lu to Snippers . Go for walk on beach ahhh bliss.
11am. Bring Lulu home where we have showers and head out to plaza.
12pm - 1.30pm. Shop for my little brothers birthday pressie. See my sister and her girls have quick catch up ... ahhh bonus.
2pm - 5pm. Lulu and I volunteer at the Bunnings sausage sizzle for our surf club and flood relief.
5.30pm Home again to cook tea and yell at people who haven't cleaned up ANY of the crap in their rooms. Realise that in less than 24 hours carpet cleaners will be looking at my bedroom. Have melt down about my house of shame.
7pm. Get over it and eat tea.
8pm. Continue to move dressing tables and lights etc out of bedrooms ... seriously regret saying yes to carpet cleaners especially as David is worried about security. Die laughing at "security comment" from the man who once left the front door of our house wide open ... for three weeks ... whilst we went overseas on holidays.
9pm. Try to watch a bit of Hawaii 050 as does Bear and David ... all of us in the bedroom is EPIC FAIL. (Bear tries to squeeze in to the space he use to be able to squeeze into when he was 4 - 10 years ago!).
10pm. Give up and go to bed.
Monday
5am. Wake up and wonder why I am so bloody tired from my 2 days "off".
David's Weekend went like this.
Saturday
6.30am - 7.30pm. Work on the house.
Sunday
6.30am - 7.30pm. Work on the house.
Monday
6.30am - 7.30pm Work at work.
Like I said. Everybody's tired.

New Year 2011
Dad and Joy flew into Oz for New Year so the Brothers and their families moved on mass to the beach. We had some sunny days (yippee) and there was lots of swimming and surfing and eating and holding of baby cousins.
Our room was fantastic (better than everyone else's - shhhh keep that quite ok) with a great beach/carpark view and the benefit of being able to scream across the highway to get your kids attention when it was time to come home.

Christmas 2010
Was Epic ... and WET. All Brothers and their wives and family's descended on my MIL's house for 5 days . Of course the food was amazing. Here Lulu is watching and helping Aunty D make spring rolls and wontons . Aunty D was shadowed by Lulu the entire time she was in QLD. Lulu never let her out of her sight... if she ever becomes Prime Minister Aunty D will have no problem with the spooks following her :-)

Christmas Morning

If you were really lucky your Aunty Krys and Uncle Joel spent way more than your (cheap) mother ever would on quality trendy brand name clothes for you.

Mum and her kitchen elf.

Have I told you that it rained for 4 of the 5 days we were at Mum & Brian's? I think I may have mentioned that. Well this activity was a winner in both the wet and dry conditions. Alas Poppys lawn may never be the same.
Boxing Day we went to Cath and Andrew's and had lunch with my Dad and Jan and Jan's son Greg.

Aunty Nutty Cath & Andrew

We look like a Christmas Tree decoration in these colours.

This is the face you make when your Aunty Cath gets you the gift you looong for... (long socks).

Cath is such a good egg, she ordered special socks over the Internet for Lulu but they didn't arrive - so she made a special trip to get more . She now has an abundance of socks as the Internet package turned up on the 27TH.

Moving on by going back
It appears my www button is fixed ! All it took was a 6 week wait, a satellite technician on our roof, David and his chainsaw and 4 massive gum trees that are no longer on our property. Easy Peasy.
Mainly for my records and faulty memory December 2010 looked a bit like this:

Bear used his first week of school holidays to do his Surf Life Saving Certificate so he could become a member of the Surf Life Saving Patrol at our Beach.

He is one of the heads bobbing around in the swell being assessed by the instructors in the rubber ducky. The 4 hours of final assessment was very stressful and anxiety filled, the conditions were rough and the exam brutal ... wow just imagine if I actually had to get wet.

New Year News
2011 has not been that flash so far. To be fair some parts of it have been awesome but then some parts - not so much.
I feel like I haven't been able to get my ducks in a row for all that's about to occur in this new year.
Added to that is my lack of internet access since before Christmas... and all the posts I have stuck in my head ... and the fact that half my State is underwater... and that since before Christmas we have had only 2 full sunshiney days!
I find rain hard to handle at the best of times... when its here everyday, all day falling on my half built house... I'm not handling it at all.
So hopefully I will be back when my www button is fixed and life is a little more sorted for 2011.
See ya
