Walker turned 14 on Saturday! We are grateful that he was sent to our family. He has brought a lot of excitement and love to us along with much needed testosterone. I don't think Shelby would be able to survive if we didn't have the presence of another male counterpart in the house. Walker has a very tender heart and loving nature and has always made good decisions. He is fun to be around and is a leader to his friends. He has maintained wonderful grades along with all the athletic events he is involved in. Our family wouldn't be the same without him! I love him dearly. Happy Birthday Big Boy!!

Spring Break Vacation!
We had a blast in Utah for spring break. The kids each learned how to snowboard. Walker and Claire caught on real quick and loved it. Megan and Meredith however, found it a challenge. Then the second day they decided to ski. Needless to say they caught on to that real quick and wished they had done that the entire week. Thank you to my friend Tori who suggested to the girls that they might like skiing better. She showed them how to snowplow and they were off up the mountain. Then they actually came down and stayed on their feet! They were so mad that they hadn't learned skiing in the first place. I haven't skied in 20 years but it came back real quick and I remembered why I used to love it so much. It has to be one of my favorite things to do. I was very cautious because at this age I knew if I hurt myself it would take a long time to recover. I didn't even fall one time. The sun was shining every day and spring skiing was fabulous! Thank you Mom and Dad for the wonderful stay and all the yummy food. You're the best.

Enrichment is over. Hallelujah!!
As the enrichment counselor I have been in charge of our birthday dinner. Of course I love to do things nice for the women of the ward and find that more of them will attend if there is a little effort put into it. I had a great theme of 'Purse'onal Enrichment' We talked about the different purses we carry around throughout our lives. From little girl dress-up purses to backpacks to temple bags to diaper bags to church bags...the list goes on and on. We had some great games and wonderful food. Then we had a great talk from our Pres about the sisters who came across the plains and had to let go of some of the baggage (prize possessions) in order to finish their journey. It was truly beautiful. Just wanted to share some pics of the night. We have great sisters in our ward and though exhausting it was real fun.
Once a cowboy, always a cowboy!
Shelby is very happy with his new job. He was kinda turning a little 'cityish' in Bartlesville. He had to take some pictures for a magazine article of him at the feedlot. This is the man I married. He is and always will be a true blue cowboy. Even though I call them his 'work' clothes, he looks darn good in them. I love my cowboy!!

Spring has sprung!
Last sunday Claire and I decided to plant our seeds. We both LOVE getting our hands dirty. I am the enrichment counselor for our ward and we were having our first gardening class at my house on Tuesday night. So I thought I better get a jump start. I can't believe how fast they have sprouted. We planted an entire flat of flowers and then another flat of herbs and a few garden plants. I have had a garden every summer for the last 14 years. It is my passion. In the summers I get up and hurry and feed the kids and clean up the house just so I can spend the day planting. Now that we're in this small house and smaller yard it will be a challenge, so I am building a small raised-bed garden. We are also having monthly enrichment classes with a sister in the ward that has her masters in horticulture. Yay! This was so exciting for me. Our first class went real well and everyone is looking forward to our next one. So are Claire and I! Hope your enjoying your weather where ever you are!
