Michael's 7th birthday party

Michael (my friend at school in my class) just turned 7! And he invited me to his birthday party! I'll tell you the whole story. I got to go to a ranch because that's where it was. And I got to ride 3 horses! On the first one a girl was leading the horse that I was riding. On the second one and third one I got to ride with no one even leading me or not walking beside the horses I were riding! Isn't that cool? And I got to ride on a Gator and right past a pond and the forest and there were 2 dogs at the party and one of them was really cute and loved to be petted and his name was Scooter and ran beside the Gator and only once he ran faster for a minute and the other dog (I don't know his name) didn't like to be petted. But he sure did act like a real ranch dog. Because he was trying to keep everyone safe and he was watching everyone.

No more tooth!

Last night, Daddy pulled out my tooth! It's my first one to come out. The tooth fairy gave me a little paper pocket with two dollars and a little note. The note said "next time put your tooth in this pocket." On the pocket was a unicorn sticker and a fairy sticker.
Yesterday I got to wear my glasses to school and got to show everyone my loose tooth. Three exciting things.

1. I can't believe I got new glasses!
2. I have no tooth now!
3. Today I get to take piano lessons!

Isn't that crazy?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

before

during

a little window in my mouth!

I was eating some ice cream before Daddy pulled it out and it reminded me of that book about Little Rabbit's Loose Tooth, where her tooth comes out in her chocolate ice cream! Have you read that book?

*dictated to Mommy over breakfast this morning.

More Unicorns

My favorite unicorn is The Last Unicorn. Just pretend one of these is the Last Unicorn. This is her herd. I wish I had The Last Unicorn movie, but I'm going to get it for Christmas. I wish I was the Last Unicorn.

Twiggers

This is my pet bird Twiggy. But I call him Twiggers. I like to play with him sometimes. But he's really mean now. But I love him anyway. For some reason he always chirps whenever Moe is sleeping. I don't know why. [ My dad is holding him in this picture.] Right now he is 1. In this picture he is zero. He is a pacific parrotlet. A parrot that will be little forever. But when their grown up their fatter.

The Underdog Movie!

This is Underdog in Egypt. I think he is saving King Tut. What do you think? Underdog is a movie I went go see with parkey and daddy! It's kind of funny! I loved it! It was about a dog who got stuck in the pound and this mad scientist who gave him special powers and he didn't mean to beacause underdog exploded the lab and knocked over the shelf that held all the potions. And ate some potions to make him have super powers. One was talking. Another was to fly. And his motto was "There's no need to fear, Underdog is here!" Sometimes I like to pretend that I'm Underdog!

The Phoenix Myth

I just heard about the phoenix. In Greek mythology the phoenix was a bird that lived in Arabia. Each morning the phoenix would awake and bathe in a well near it's roost. While it bathed, it sang a beautiful song that the sun god Apollo stopped to hear each dawn before he drove his sun chariot across the sky. According to the myth, only one phoenix existed at a time. When it grew old, the phoenix would build a nest of myrrh. The phoenix would settle it's tired aging body into the center of the nest which burst into flames when the sun rose. The phoenix would be consumed by the flames and from the ashes of the ancient bird, a new phoenix would be reborn. [I got that from a paper.]

Color Math

I made up something I call "Color Math." It means that if you mix colors, you get another color. But I like to make them look like math questions.

Here is some color math:

RED + BLUE = PURPLE

YELLOW + RED = ORANGE

YELLOW + BLUE = GREEN

BLUE + GREEN = DARK TEAL

RED + YELLOW + BLUE = BROWN

COOL, HUH?

Mystical Unicorns

These are Mystical Unicorns that are rainbow. They're magical. This one is a princess' pet. That's why it has tack on. Tack is a bridle and a blanket and a saddle and a bit. Everything that goes on it when you ride it.

This one is by the mystical waterfall in the forest. Maybe this is the Last Unicorn.

I love this one. It's so pretty. It has a gleaming sparkly horn.

Guess What!

Today, since I am the best reader in my class, my teacher asked me to read the class a book because the kids on the floor were bored. She was helping other kids do their work and so I got to help! The book was called Animal Strike at the Zoo. It's true. I got to sit in Mrs. Marroquin's rocking chair with the plaid pillow on it. Maybe she'll ask me to do it again one day.

From Leslie: It was so cute, Audrey came home and told us that something really special happened at school today, and then she told us what it was and Parker gave her a big hug. He was so proud. Oh, life is good. :)

My Birthday Party

Yesterday, I had my birthday party! This is who came: Sophia, Sydney, Raegan, Callie, Emma, and Bella. Parker was there, too. And me. I rode a pony named Dusty. It was an Appaloosa or sometimes it's called a raindrop horse. We got to chase a goat around the ring and try to take a ribbon off of its tail. It was really funny. There was also a playground and a cat.

The place we had it is called the D-Talk Ranch. D is for Donny, who is the owner. K is for Karen, his wife, and the other letters like L for Lisa, are for his daughters. A is for Ashley, but I can't remember what T is for.

If you click here, you can see a video of my party. It was so fun!

This is us eating dinner. We had Chick-fil-A. Aunt Stephanie sent me that pretty pink cowgirl hat with a tiara on it.

Here we are taking the boots and horses off the cake, after I blew out the candles.

This is everybody making smores at the firepit.

This is the pond back in the pasture where we saw a little alligator.

This is me on the hayride.

Here I am riding Dusty.

This is Mr. Donny taking us on a tour around the barn. We learned about horses and what they eat. We looked at some oats that weren't cooked yet and some hay, too. We saw two horses with blue eyes. And two foals.

This is my cake. Mommy made it, and Parker and I got to put the horses and boot candles on.

What Would the Unicorn Do?

If you click here, you can see a chart with a pretty rainbow unicorn on it, and you can make her spin to see what she's going to do next! Thanks for sending it to me, Uncle Elliott!

Horse Camp!

This week was Spring Break. Since I didn't have school, I got to go to horse camp. It was so fun! I went for 5 days, and was assigned to ride a horse named Jesse. She's really cute! Horses aren't called white or brown. There are different names for the colors. White is flea-bitten gray. Jesse is that color. Brown is called chestnut, if you're talking about western. In England, they call brown sorrel. There were three riders in each group at my camp. Most of them were girls, but there were four boys. Grace and Megan were the other girls in my group. There are counselors for each group. Our counselor's name was Andrea. Her mom and dad are the owners of the stables, Sienna Stables.

The first day, we learned how to groom Jesse and put her tack on. We each got a turn putting on the bridle and the saddle. And we learned how to put the halter on, and I learned how to tie a safety release knot. I practiced at home with my lasso. I rode Western that day, too. I got to go first in my group.

The second day, we rode Western, too. We each take turns riding around the arena and practicing all the things we had learned.

On the third day, we learned how to ride English. That was my first time riding on an English saddle. I really liked it! English saddles are different because they're smaller and they don't have horns. Some people think the horn is like a handle for you to hold on to, but it's really for tying the rope on, and for pulling a cow.

On the fourth day, we rode bareback and did dressage! Bareback means there's no saddle, but there are reigns. Dressage is when you ride the horse around the ring in a special pattern. You go around the X in the middle, and to the letters on the edges, in a pattern. That day, we also learned posting and two-point. Posting is when you kind of stand up in the stirrups so that when you trot, you don't get bounced around. Two-point is when you crouch over and hold onto the horse's mane, when he's jumping.

Today was the horse show! Our families got to come watch us ride in the arena. I chose to ride Western, so I got to do an obstacle course. Andrea braided Jesse's tail and put ponytails in her mane. She looked so cute! Jesse and I trotted around the edge of the ring, stepped over a pole on the ground, weaved in between cones, stepped over another pole, and weaved through more cones. Then I made Jesse stop and take three steps backwards. Then we leave the ring and everyone claps. And the best part is that I got a ribbon! I was so happy. Mommy took some pictures and a video. You can click here to see the video.

Me after my turn at the horse show, with my ribbon. We also got dark teal horse camp shirts!

Me and my new friend, Megan.

Me riding English on Wednesday.

Parker and me by Jesse's stall. I colored a picture for her. It's right next to me.

Here I am showing Mommy where Jesse's bridle goes in the tack room.

Me right before my turn at the horse show.

Me petting Jesse before I had to go home.

I got to lead Jesse back to her stall, because Andrea was so nice and let me.

Hooray for Horse Camp! I can't wait to go again next year!

Help us find Shiny

We got a new fish on Monday. His name was Shiny and he was blue and green and white. Today when we woke up, Shiny was gone. We can't find him in our tank! He was there when we went to sleep, but now he has disappeared. Daddy says maybe something mysterious in the tank ate him. Maybe he got sucked up into the filter. Maybe he jumped out onto the floor. We don't know where he is. What do you think happened to him?

Carousel Horse

I like this horse because it's pretty. Mommy and I just read a book about a pretty carousel horse named Sparkle. She comes alive for a little girl named Carrie and they fly through the sky. It's a "jewel sticker story." That means it comes with jewel stickers for you to decorate the pages with.

This is silly

a doggie riding a horse!

A New Babakee

I'm getting a new babakee in the mail because mine is getting holes in it. This will be my fourth babakee. The first one was white and Gie gave it to me when I was a baby. Then I got a pink one and now I have a purple one. The new one I'm getting is a color called "seaglass." It's light green and this one will be fuzzy on one side. I'm excited to get it!

Kiara and Kovu

I like Kiara and Kovu. They're from The Lion King 2 movie and they start out as little cubs and they're cute when they're little. Then they grow up and all the bad lions and all the good lions decide to be friends. The bad lions start to be nice and Kiara and Kovu fall in love. It's a good movie.

Miles the Pharaoh

I put Miles' doggie blankie on his head today and I thought he looked like an Egyptian pharoah. Mommy took these pictures. Doesn't he look silly? He thought it was funny, too.

Callie and Me

This is me with my best friend, Callie. We went to the park together after school. We like to pretend we're doggies together. She likes animals just as much as I do!

My Talk

I gave talk in Primary a couple of weeks ago. This is what I said.

Heavenly Father promised Adam and Eve that he would send Jesus Christ to the earth to be our Savior. All of the prophets of the Old Testament and the Book of Mormon prophesied of the coming of the Savior. Isaiah said, "For unto us a child is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of peace." He was talking about Jesus. Heavenly Father fulfilled his promise when He sent His Son to the earth to save us from sin and death. We will celebrate his birth at Christmas. I am thankful that Heavenly Father loved us enough to send Jesus to be our Savior."

I said the whole thing by myself. Daddy only had to help me read "Isaiah." I'm really good at giving talks now.
