Mondayitis

The mumster got herself up earl and dragged herself to work.  She is fearful that she is growing some bugs though, she has a sore throat and heavy chest feeling.  Work went pretty well, but as soon as she got home she got her pyjamas on, had an easy dinner of leftovers and put herself to bed.  She hopes that the germs go away, so an early night for us girls.  I have been happy snoozing away on her bed.  She left her towel on the bed from this mornings shower and I have been busy drying it for her with my body heat.

Mondayitis

Mum feels like she has a touch of the Mondayitis today.  It was a steady day at work, and she was tired when she got home.  Dinner of  a feast was dished out for me, and she had soup and a bagel.  Mum and I then had a nap on the bed for an hour which was good, as mum has to be on call tonight, and is never guaranteed a night in bed.  How was the start to your week - busy or relaxing?

Mondayitis

Mum had a touch of the Mondayitis today.  She always finds it more difficult to get to sleep on a Sunday night, and it didn't help that the council did some street painting at midnight on Sunday.  Truly - we know it is a quiet time for them, but not nice for sleepy girls.

Mum also knew she had a busy day at work, and although it was steady she had pleasant company during the day and things went better than expected.  Hoorah!!

So she picked up some ingredients and made a chicken salad for her dinner, and a fancy feast for me.  Some dishes were done, the garden was watered, Gdad got a phone call and now a bit of book reading for bed.  Me - well I've done lots of napping.

Hope you all had a good start to your week.

Hello July

Mum had a touch of the mondayitis today.  It was a good day at work, and she a nice evening at home.  The tough bit was getting up at 6.40am this morning.  Early starts after a weekend of sleep ins are not mums favoritist thing.  She could quite happily flick off her alarm clock and roll over and go back to sleep.  So a little nap was in order after dinner.  So now she thinks she will watch Greys Anatomy and then will head back to bed, a little read and then snooze off a bit earlier than usual.

Hello July - you look like you will be an interesting month.  Mum is proud of herself too.  Six months of taking lunch to work every day.  No more buying it, and saving a few coins means mum has more money in her pockets for weekend adventures.

Mondayitis

Today would have been the perfect day for mum and I to stay in bed and snuggle up.  It was cold and boy did it rain!!  Luckily the storm died down while mum headed to work, and I headed back to bed.  There were over 100 lightening strikes on our city overnight, but the thunder wasn't too bed, so there was lots of snoozing going on at Chez Q.

You know how mum found that $30 yesterday - well she went to the supermarket after work and bought some tasty treats and some steak for dinner, and lots of can of fancy feast for me!!

Hope you have a nice Monday everybuddy.

Mondayitis

Mum had a bit of Mondayitis today at work. All the talk was about the earthquake, and everybody at works families are ok. Some lost chimneys, and one nice ladies daughter has lost her house, due to the destruction. On the tv news tonight they think that about 100,000 homes had damage to them (that is half of the homes in the city). People were lucky though, with only two serious injuries, and one person dying of a heart attack at the time.

Christchurch is a lovely town with lots of old buildings (for New Zealand), and because many of them were brick or stone, quite a few in the city centre will be demolished in the next few days. Schools and lots of businesses are closed while they get sorted out.

Hope you all have a lovely Monday.

Mondayitis

This is a picture of me and my quilt on Saturday, before my mum stole it and put it in the wash to defur it. Now I am just left with one tiny pillow to lie on, till it dries. This is my latest daytime spot, as I get to watch the street below.

When mum gets home from work, she whistles to me so that I can get up, stretch then run to greet her at the front door.

This is why I have been staying inside, under them big white rain clouds is little green New Zealand. We've got our raincoats ready, the washing is drying inside and we have lots of food. Bring it on!!

Mondayitis

It is Monday, and raining again. Lately, cause it has been cold I gets up and has my breakfast in the morning. Then mum gets up and has a shower, and while she dries up she pops back into her bed to listen to the radio and dry her hair. So I go back and sit on her, and keeps her awake so she goes to work.

She says lots of peoples she works with must have Mondayitis, cause someone always calls in sick on Monday. Mum says she never has sickie days unless she is sick. This is cause if she ever does it, she is sure to get real sick the next week and then feels t00 guilty to have a day off.

Is there lots of Mondayitis where your beans work?
