Aubrie's class had a halloween party last Thursday, October 27th.
We had so much fun preparing treats for her classmates the day before the party.
Aubrie helped make ghost lollipops and did almost all of the mummy juice boxes by herself. I tore the strips of duct tape and she put them on the boxes... I hot glued the googly eyes.
We also made a goodie bag for each of the students in the class. They each got bubbles, a mini pumpkin basket, candy, Halloween bracelets and little sticker boxes. Aubrie could hardly wait for Thursday.
They kids came to school in their costumes and did their normal routine from 9 to 9:30am (circle time). Then they went upstairs to do some Halloween activity (too cold to play outside) and when they came back to the classroom we had set it up for snack time and games.
One mom made the adorable sugar cookies.
Another mom made personalized cupcakes for each student.
Aubrie's cubbie. They made the cutest bats! I love her teachers!
I just had to take a picture of this so I would remember the students that were in her class!
First reaction upon coming back to class.
Aubrie sat at a table with all boys except for her and her friend Halleigh. She made sure to sit in a spot with a pumpkin sugar cookie. She is a little obsessed with pumpkin things.
After snacks it was time to go to Body Rhythmics for the costume parade.
Then they sang a couple of songs. Aubrie has a great memory and did a great job with the hand motions and the word. I loved seeing her with her class!
Then when we came back to class we had face painting, games (toss the pumpkin in the bucket), and crafts.
Luke is ready for preschool. He was roaming all over the place having a good old time!
When we got home Aubrie showed Luke all the fun stuff she got at school and was so excited about her day. She loved every minute of it.
I almost forgot... I read Five Little Pumpkins to her class at the very end of their little day... and I was nervous but fine just as I started to read. It was a piece of cake. The kids loved it and since they had been learning the words to it in Body Rhythmics some even said the words as I read.
Aubrie asked if I could come help with the Christmas party. It was really sweet.
A mask that she made at the party.
