Paul and I decided to go away for the weekend for our anniversary (which is tomorrow, the 21st).  We got a babysitter, a girl in our ward who is home for the summer break who.  We decided on Cleveland for 2 reasons.  Paul really wanted to go to Kirtland to visit all of the sights, and We wanted to go to Cedar Point, an amusement park right on Lake Erie.  We had a great time!  So relaxing, and stress free.  We decided the way to vacation is sans children!  I went all out and booked the penthouse suite on the 15th floor.  It was perfect, and we definitely are doing it again!

Cape Cod

We spent last week on Cape Cod.  We had lots of fun!  We went to Plimouth Plantation, the beach, whale watching, Boston, and a pirate ship adventure that I missed.  Kenley left her shoes in the car the night before the pirate ship adventure, when we got there, we saw that she only had one shoe.  I didn't think they would let her on with only one shoe, so I went back to the hotel to see if I could find the other one.  I couldn't find it,  so I grabbed a different pair of shoes and sped off the the ship.  Well, Cape Cod traffic is horrible, so it took me 30 minutes to go 6 miles, and I missed the boat.  The shoe is not the only thing that disappeared from our car, our GPS vanished along with Kenley's shoe.  We went down one morning and it was gone.  We dont know if it was stolen, or just vanished, we are just grateful that the camera wasn't missing too!

These pictures are from Plimouth Plantation in the Wampanoag Village.

lots of 'tude on the trip!

Fourth of July

For the Fourth of July, we went out to our friends lake house.  The house is right on Lake Ontario.  We had so much fun and enjoyed every minute of it!  We played until we dropped on their boat, jet ski, and four wheeler.
This was so cute, they made a little train that attaches to the four wheeler.  The kids (and Paul) loved going for rides in it.

Kenley and Hadley were our little dare devils.  They couldn't get enough of the jet ski!

Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day Weekend, we met Paul's sister, Kathleen and her family in PA.  On Saturday, we went to Dutch Wonderland.  It is a little amusement park in the heart of Amish Country, perfect for the 10 and under crowd.  The kids loved it and loved being with their cousins.

On Sunday, we got up and went to the Crayola Factory.  That was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.  Lots of hands on stuff for the kids.  It was fun seeing how they make crayons and markers.

Everybody getting a red crayon that we just saw get made.
After the Crayola Factory, it was time for our train ride on the Strasburg Railroad!

Had to sneak a picture of an Amish buggy!
