re doing the dining room floor

various stages of laying the new linoleum, I looked at the floor areas to be replaced and would have sworn they weren't over 30 sq feet each, but, they are 49.5 sq ft, which meant putting a hold on getting both sides done till I cold go get two more packs of tile. With my grand children helping on Friday, I should be able to finish it all up real quick!

I have been short on pictures of my family, we didn't do traditional family photos, I don't know why, it wasn't something that would have occurred to Mom and Dad I guess, but anyway, here's a shot of my pops when he was a young soldier, WWII was on in full, so young looking and handsome.

fridays

Fridays are really nice...specially the payday Fridays when I get to sit down and pay the bills...I really like that five minutes or less as I think back on the time Brian used to spend on the same project, writing out checks. so that job done early today, i am sipping good strong coffee and waiting for the kids to arrive to share fudge brownie cake and celebrificate Marielle's bornfullness. Yesterday was her big 16th birthday, all graduated from high school already and now the focus will be on learning to drive, which we have been working at for about a year now. She is resistant, but I think that will change as she gets a tad older and the desire for freedom finally hits.
