I have been on a mini album roll. Well for one reason, that is what is being sent to me to create with for Serendipity Design Team. And for anothe, well I actually do love to create them. Who knew?
When I first started with Serendipity Design Team over 2 1/2 years ago, Kristen sent me my very first mini album to create. I was a nervous wreck but was excited to try something new. I love a good challenge. Since then I think I have created a mini album just about every month. I have a huge pile of them. I do need to find a good way to showcase them in my house instead of having them all piled in the cabinet the way that I do.
But now I want to share a few with you since I haven't showcased anything in such a long time. Well I don't think I have ever showcased my mini albums. So without further hesitation. Here they are. Let me know what you think. I'm actually pretty proud of each and every one of them.
This first album was created for Serendipity Scrapbooks February 2008 Altered Kit
This really cute and fun album was created for Serendipity Scrapbooks April altered kit.
The next mini album is one of my favorite that I created this year. It's wild, fun, funky and very personal. It's all about Family Baby!!! The album was from Serendipity Scrapbooks May Altered Kit
Here is a fun album about my daughters experience and little photo shoot before her prom in the year of 2004. About time I got this done. It was from Serendipity Scrapbooks June Altered Kit.
This is the first album that Kristen at Twisted Cherry Designs made. It is the cutest little mushroom mini album. I love that the very top of the cover page is a die cut chipboard piece. It fits right on the cover for that extra added dimension. Love it. This was an exclusive design for Serendipity Scrapbooks July kit.
\
Here is another exclusive to Serendipity Scrapbooks design from Twisted Cherry Designs. It was for their August Altered Kit
I love working with bright colors and this September Serendiptiy Scrapbooks Altered kit hit the spot. There was even cork board in this kit. How yummy!
Kristen, the owner at Serendiptiy Scrapbooks never gets to themey with her kits. They are for you to create with how ever you like to create with them. But I love when she includes Halloween papers. It's one of my favorite holidays to scrap.
This is really a gorgeous mini album. Loads of drying time on this one. I used these really big crystals to make the snow on the albums. They are much chunkier than glitter but the look is fantastic. To make the white really pop out on the album for the snow, I mixed the glue with white paint! Now you can really see the sparkle in the snow cover roof tops
Here is another exclusive to Serendipity by Twisted Cherry Designs. This album is wonderful and it's the total manger scene. I went a little different with this one and created a book for my children. It has become a new tradition in our house and features the Birth of Christ on Christmas.
Another exclusive for Serendiptiy by Twisted Cherry Designs. That girl was on a roll and I love creating with these album. They are different and wonderful. Much better than some of the other mfg designs in my opinion. But I do have a little sneek peak of all of the designs before they are published. This makes it even cooler! LOL
Well that was my year for mini albums. I'm actually not creating with one for this month for the March reveals. I'm taking a little break. But to be honest, I really do miss it. Maybe now is the time to break out one of those clear acrylic albums. Hmmm, what do you think? LOL
Have a wonderful day and happy scrapping.

We will be chatting in the chat room under the General Chat area
If you are not familiar with Maya Road then here is a little background information from them.
For The Journey Of A Lifetime http://www.mayaroad.com/
Maya Road was born in 2003. My sister and I were spending the weekend together, and we went shopping for all of the latest scrapbooking supplies. As we browsed the aisles, we were frustrated by how difficult it was to find unique scrapbooking products and how expensive products were. We started chatting about products we wanted to see, and we brainstormed how we could combine our business knowledge and design skills to produce the unique products for scrapbooking. Thus, Maya Road was formed.
At first, we made limited quantities of these products available to other scrapbooking enthusiasts on eBay and through our individual websites. After much soul-searching, we decided to launch Maya Road nationally with 38 unique products at HIA 2004. Since then we have added over 600 new products to our line including fun lines such as our chipboard collections, sheers, ribbons, fibers and much more!
Maya Road was founded on a belief in each person's creative ability and on the commitment to making high quality scrapbooking products available and affordable to everyone. We believe that scrapbooking and memory keeping should be an everyday event available to everyone.
We provide free ideas cards in stores, as well as free downloadable support information on our website. Our signature products are carried in over 1000 scrapbooking stores in the US, Australia, Canada, the UK and beyond.
Mark your calendars ladies for February 17th, 9pm EST. You will not want to miss this awesome opprotunity to chat with one of the industries leading manufacturers.

I'm Back...........well at least for today
I'm a bad bad blogger! LOL Life is just to hectic to try to cram in the blogging scene. But I have committed myself to try a little harder. I do so much online, why can't I do this for myself. If nothing but to jot down memories and moments and a bunch of scrapping.
Over at Serendipity Scrapbooks, we have so much going on. Kristen and I just picked a new Design Team over there. We have 12 of us in all on the Design Team. Now that is a whole bunch of us gals that have a single common goal. Ah yes, creating wonderful art work.
Let me show you some of that wonderful art work that I created with the Altered kit for February at Serendipity Scrapbooks. This kit is jammed packed. Just like every other kit that is sold there. Nothing new here but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors in this kit. They are some of my favorite to scrap with. That would be red, white, black, with a little pink thrown in.
Take a look at this mini album. I used fabric and have it poking out of the negative space that is on the first page of the mini album. I then put batting in the negative space and adhered the first page of the album to the back of the cover. This way it would hold everything in. I added pearls to the front of the album. For some reason the wings were just screaming for those pearls. I think it added a nice touch. Without further hesitation.....here it is.

And guess what...........I didn't stop there with the album. I created not one, not two, but 5 layouts with this kit. Here they are..... (well look up top for those layouts. One of the reasons that I don't like blogging is because it takes to much effort! LOL Now I can't seem to copy and paste the images where they need to be) Oh well you get the "picture"!
Have a wonderful evening and I will talk with you soon.

Feb Reveal and a few new layouts
Well Serendipity finally had it's reveal of their new design team and I have to say that I am always excited but it is so much work!!! I have been really busy getting everything in order so that it is easy for the incoming DT to take over where the outgoing DT stops.
I really haven't had much time to do a whole bunch of scrapping but I do have some FEB reveals of some kits for you. These kits were so much fun to work with. Both kits that I got to play with have very new papers.
Here are a couple of layouts that was created with the altered kit. The altered kit has a really cute worded mini album for you to create but Kristen always packs the kits so full that you can continue creating even after using everything for the altered item.
This first layout is of my hubby Earl and my oldest son Trevor. They are so much a like it is unreal. Hence the name Carbon Copy!!! I loved creating this layout. I really wanted to try some of the rolled paper look on a layout and this really took the not so masculine papers and made them appear masculine.
The next layout is of my sweet boy Mason. This was the first day of school for the older boys and he was the only one that got left behind. He was longing and wishing that he could go to school with them. Only a few more years buddy!!!
The only items that I added extra was the Liquid Applique. This stuff is awesome and gives the layout so much dimension. It's kind of like puffy paint. I actually added it directly to the flowers on the base paper to make them pop just a little. I also added the pom pom ribbon for a nice touch.
And just because I love this layout and had so much fun doing it, I just have to share. This layout came from the Just Enough Please Feb Kit that will be for sale on Feb 1st. This coming Friday. This is Brayden meeting his Aunt Emily and his Grandma Cindy for the first time.
I used some packing from something that I got for Christmas to make the background. Take the white paint and cover a plate. Then drop coordiating colors in a random fashion on top of the white paint. Press the packing into the paint and then press it on to your cardstock. This makes a wonderful textured background. Then I just embellished it with a little cut work. Cut work is a girls best friend when it comes to working with kits and creating layouts.
Well that's it for today. The rest of the layouts that the Design Team has put together with the feb kits can be seen in the Serendipity Gallery on the first of each month. The link is to the right.
Happy Scrapping!

My newest job!!!
For those that are new around here, I have a new grandson. He is 6 weeks old today. His name is Brayden and he is just precious.
Little background...........I have a 6 year old son and a 3 year old son still at home. I also have a 5 year old grandson and now a 6 week old grandson by my awesome daughter.
Today is the first day of him staying at Grandma's house!!! I tell you, even with Mason just being 3 years old we are in a cool routine and adding a little one is work!!! LOL
When Dylan was born, Trevor was just 11 months old so I was use to it. Who would have thought that just 3 years would make a difference and you would get out of the routine.
So far he has been a really good baby and is sleeping right now. Problem is that mommy is breast feeding and grandma hasn't done that in 2 years!!! LOL I can't put him to sleep as easy as his mom can. You know the pacifier syndrom. But he still isn't a fussy baby and doesn't even cry. Little man just wimpers if he is hungry or just wants to be held and that's it. He such a good baby.
Mason is thrilled to have Brayden come stay with us during the day. He's so thrilled that he won't shut up and stop jumping on the bed and what not so that Brayden can sleep!!! LOL I know this newness will wear off soon and things will get into a better routine.
Now Dylan and Trevor will be home around 4pm when the bus let's them off and I will have all 4 of them. We will see how that goes. Good thing I only have to watch all 4 of them for about an hour and a half. I don't know if I could do that every single day. I think it would definitely make me even crazier than I am!!!
I always wanted a big family and now I have one. So far the count is 5 children...........because you know they are all my children wether than are biological or grandchildren!!! I love it...............and when I'm really old they can fight over who gets to take care of me!!! LOL
Here's a pic of my little cutie patootie, Brayden!
Have a wonderful weekend!
