Khloe's Quirks

Khloe is very much a person in my eyes. She has her little quirks just like the rest of us. She always has to take her food out of the bowl and eat it off the carpet in a specific spot, she has a little snaggle tooth that sometimes gets caught on her upper lip, she can't raise her left ear so when she hears something only her right ear perks up, and she prefers to take naps on the hardwood floor unless the pillow in the office looks comfy. We all have our quirks and I wouldn't trade Khloe's for the world.

Baby Soren Moffat

Erik's sister, Liv, gave birth to baby Soren Moffat at 8:40pm on my birthday! Mom, Dad, and Soren are all doing well. This is Erik's first blood-related nephew. It was so cute to see how excited he got when we first walked into the room. The funniest part about the new addition is that he weighs 2 pounds more than Khloe. Soren came in at 9 pounds 2 ounces and was 22 inches long.

The poor little guy was crying quite a bit so I asked Steve if I could hold him. As Monica from Friends would say, it was "Super Aunt to the rescue." Remember the episode where she gets Rachel's baby to stop crying by bouncing/swaying her and saying "ooh, baby, baby....ooh, baby, baby?" Well, that was me tonight. Hopefully, my reign as Super Aunt will continue.

Happy Birthday To Me!

I turned 25 today! Woo hoo!

I don't care that I'm another year older, because what this really means is that there are only 9 more weeks until I'm done with school. YAY!

Pumpkin Carving

This weekend we carved pumpkins with our friends Bridget and Chase. Well, the guys watched football while the girls did all of the work. Carving wasn't that fun because our hands cramped up using the miniature tools, but the end result was worth it. The best part was putting Khloe inside of it when we were done. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Family Pictures

I finally convinced Erik to let us get new family pictures. For years, I have been wanting a "fall-themed" picture of us and it finally happened. Erik was a trooper pose after pose. Below are my top five; which one is your favorite?

Fall Has Arrived

Today was the first wet, rainy day since the end of summer and I loved it! It brought back so many memories of growing up in Seattle. I went to the gym for about an hour and when I was walking back to my car, flashbacks of my youth began to flood my mind. I used to love playing soccer in the pouring rain even when mud covered my body and I could barely move my fingers. I remember the smell right after it rained. It was so fresh and clean. I love to hear the sound of a car driving by on a wet road; music to my ears.

Even though I was extremely tired from my workout, I grabbed my windbreaker, a hat, and Khloe and went out for a run in the rain. I didn't even bring my iPod because I wanted to be able to hear all of the sounds I miss so much. Poor little Khloe ran two miles with me and was sopping wet.

I can barely walk up the stairs, but having a little piece of "home" today was worth it. It may have been 55 degrees and rainy, but to me, it felt like I was running in paradise.

Utes WIN!

Yesterday was a great day for Utah football. The Utes kicked a 37-yard field goal with 1 second remaining to beat Oregon State 31-28.

It was a very tense game but the Utes stayed competitive. Even though quarterback, Brian Johnson, made a lot of costly mistakes, we still got the win. Oregon State previously beat the number one team, USC, so this was a very big game for the Utes.
After the game, everyone charged the field filled with excitement. Utah is now 6-0 halfway through the season.

(Me with wide receiver Bradon Godfrey)

Hopefully we will remain undefeated and be able to compete in a BSC bowl at the end of the year. GO UTES!
