Just some random fun!

Our life has been lots of fun lately! First and foremost, John is FINALLY done interviewing!!! Now all we have to do is put together our rank list (rank the programs he interviewed at in the order in which we like them), and then wait. Fun stuff. This is actually a really exciting time for us and we can't wait to see where the next step of John's training will take us.
The kids and I went with John on his last interview in Albuquerque (that's a fun word to spell :). It was a fun little get-away, and it was actually our first time taking the kiddos to a hotel. So that was interesting! Needless to say, John and I both fell asleep at 8:00 last night! We were pretty pooped.
That's about all that we have going on right now! Not too exiting, just normal life! But here are a few pictures we wanted to share!

Just a fun pic of Porter and John in Albuquerque.

While John was at his interview the kids and I went to the temple. It was really pretty, and Ivy loves to sing the "tupple song".

We have had a few random days of WONDERFUL weather here in Denver (like 70's, yeah, I know...we love it here!) So we took advantage and went to the zoo one day. It was so nice to get out.

She could have stayed here and watched the elephants all day!

And look who's standing! My baby boy is getting so big!

Down Memory Lane

I saw this on my friend Jill's blog, and thought it looked like fun! I'm excited to see what you all remember about me- hopefully it's not too embarassing!!!! Anyway, here's what you do:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I have together. It doesn’t matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments. Please come and go down memory lane with me!

Okay, so this post is a little embarassing for me, but I just need a little motivation, and what works better that public embarassment? So here goes:
I have 10 pounds to lose.......10 pounds that weren't here before I was pregnant with Porter, and I want them gone! I have a HUGE sugar addiction, and I hate working out, so obviously, I'm having a hard time kicking them!
Recently, I have really tried eating healthier, but I still seem to find my way to the cookie aisle at the grocery store. So I'm definitely going to try to not fall prey to the bakery goods. But more importantly, I just wanted to let you all know that I am starting a new workout routine. I am starting with Tae Bo at home, so that I don't have to work out in public at first, but within a few weeks I plan on going to the rec center.
So please check in with me and ask me how it's going, becuase I definitely need reminders, and I want to be held accountable!
Also, if any of you moms have great tips for losing the post-baby belly pooch (non-surgical), I'd love to hear 'em! Thanks for listening!

Camera troubles, and an update.

Well Brandy has requested Christmas pictures, but I have a little problem. I forgot to put the memory card back into my camera before I started taking Christmas pictures, so the pics are all saved on the internal memory of my camera. And I don't know how to get them from the camera onto the computer now. Our old camera had a cable that you just plugged in, but this one doesnt. hehe I am such a technological ding-dong. SO, if any of you know how to do it let me know :) Otherwise I'll have to wait for John to get back and figure it out for me. I know it's probably really easy, I just don't want to sit here at the computer all night trying to learn how to do it.

But we had a fabulous Christmas! My brother-in-law came from Missouri and hung out with us. Ivy is smitten. Come back Dave!
Then came New Years, which we celebrated with our friends the Borings. They threw a fun party London-time (I think?), so that we could put our children to bed at a decent hour.
And last (and least) was my birthday. The big 2-6. Wahoo! I was a bum this year, and didn't want to do anything. But John was home all day so that was awesome!
