Comedian Helen Hong, who appeared last week at MurphGuide Comedy Night, produces and hosts K-Date, a unique matchmaking comedy show where the comics set audience members up with one another...

Laughter and matchmaking, Korean style.

From the Comix website:
A raucous night of laughter and Korean-style matchmaking in a modern day Cupid's experiment.
In the Korean tradition of "booking," nightclub waiters play forceful matchmakers who literally drag strangers to different tables for impromptu meet-and-greets. After having a drink together, the newly formed "couple" can decide to go their separate ways or stick around and see how well their waiter has paired them.

K-Date Comix adds a hilarious spin to the custom:
After performing short sets, NYC's top comedians do the pairing instead of waiters, with running commentary adding to the fun. The laughs and love-sparks fly as comedians try to do what Korean mothers attempt every day... hook people up!
