MCKENZIE'S WEDDING

Oh my but she made a beautiful bride.  the day was great and the gym looked amazing.  Everything was as she wanted it.  Her and Ranell had bought the dress without any help from mom.  we did have to modify it a little but she was glowing.  The ceremony itself was great.  Bishop Blackham did a great job.  He gave them some great advice.  The luncheon turned out great with plenty of food for everyone.  Pictures were a little hectic but they always are.  The reception was a great time.  It is always a party when you get all the cousins together.  Great western decorations and a great ice cream bar for refreshments. The little boys were great sports being in all the pictures.  Thanks to all who helped from food to setting up and cleaning up.  You never can pull off this kind of thing with out tons of help from others.  Now if she will just come and get all her stuff from our house and moved into her own in Burley.

HARRY'S SEALING

We got to spend some time in the temple today with Harry.  He had the opportunity to be sealed to his parents.  Time spent in the temple is special no matter what but this day was especially amazing.  From the moment Harry was brought into the sealing room you could feel the change and the charge in the room.  Everyone in that room including Harry knew that the veil disappeared for a few minutes.  The sealer was amazing.  Even though it only took a few minutes they were a marvelous few minutes.  Times like this make you realize that the truthfulness of the gospel definitely spreads into the life beyond.  I am ever grateful for the gospel in my life and the blessing that the temple brings to us not only here on earth but for eternity.

INDIAN CREEK

No more needs said right. Everyone knows that our entire July revolves around Indian Creek. We love to be in the mountains and we love to be around family. We had a rather exciting Indian Creek. McKenzie brought Chris and the boys with her. Chris called earlier and asked if while he was with us if he could talk to us alone. Well we all knew what was coming except Mckenzie. Chris got a flat tire coming into camp so Daren and he drove to Mud Lake to get it fixed. It took him the whole way there and most of the way back to get up the courage to ask Daren if he could marry Kenzie. We all of course knew what was going on so the night of the program we were expecting Chris to do this as part of our program but he didn't. Then after we sent the kids to bed and the adults were around the fire I could tell that Chris was a little nervous so I figured now was the time. Sure enough he got down on one knee in front of Kenzie and asked her to marry him. It ws definitely a campfire to remeber. Welcome to the craziness Chris, Kade and Coltrin.

How can it be so Quiet.

As I am updating I am looking at June's calendar thinking, Wow that was kind of a quiet month. Clayton is working full time, I am working full time, Makay was doing a little summer math class and with a leg in a castthings are pretty quiet. That is not often the case around our house. We did get in a couple of weekend camping trips. It has been rather rainy so I think that is another reason things are so quiet. June is always get ready for Indian Creek and boy am I ready.

Graduation another chapter finished

We have been busy getting Clayton ready for graduation. Amongst scholarships, baseball and getting his wisdom teeth pulled it has been busy. We are trying to schedule all of this now because as soon as school is out he starts working full time at the canal company and does not want to miss work. We had his teeth out Thursday morning, he went back to school to study for a final and then he had Seminary Graduation on Sunday. On Tuesday he went to Lagoon with the Seniors. You just can't keep that boy down when there is playing to be done. Graduation night was amazing. Coach Sawicki was there speaker and he did a fantastic job. There were a lot of tears shed but they are such an amazing group of kids. It has been a rough year with them losing Mabry and Loren but they are a tight knit group and they have really pulled together and had a really fun year. Their Senior Party was not as planned so with the help of a bunch of mom's we pulled them an all nighter at Rockwelz in Terreton and then we fixed them breakfast and sent them out into the real world.

Eagle Scout

With literally hours to spare Clayton finally finished up his Eagle project and got all the paperwork done to receive his Eagle Scout Award. Clayton built a loading and unloading ramp at the cemetary and pulled up some ld tarp and trimmed around the trees and pulled out the suckers that grow up around it. He then met with the board and turned in all his paperwork. This was in May. In July while at the family reunion in Indian Creek Clayton was presented his Eagle Scout Award with all of his cousins, and Uncles as part of his eagle's nest. While Kim was talking about eagles and the importance one decided to soar right overhead of our gathering. It was a perfect ceremony. Way to go Clayton. One of those mom moments when you go yes we did it!

Prom

While Clayton was on American Heritage he asked Melissa Newman to go with him to Prom. They went to Rexburg and went golfing and then came back home and got in their formals. They went to dinner in Hamer at Taylor Savage's house. His mom fixed them a fantastic meal. The dance was held in Idaho Falls. Clayton was named
1st attendant. It was a fun way to end his Senior Prom.
