Whole lot a SOUL!

Hosting a birthday party for 15 girls in a weeks notice is not an easy task......
but for Alyssa......I'd do ANYTHING! Love. This. Girl. She wanted to go see SOUL SURFER. Amazing movie, so inspirational. Most of the girls commented how they realized they could do anything if they put their mind and heart in it. I was quite impressed. Then we went back to our house for a spaghetti dinner and games and.....CAKE! Mmmm!
I can't believe this little chick is NINE!! 9 ! WOW! And as I can see by the evidence below, she is a wonderful friend and blessed to have been so welcomed by all these girls. (so glad we didn't switch schools)

Some more of my little nut

Alyssa has always been "Peanut". She got that name when I was pregnant with her.
It is clear that she does come from a family of nuts.

Walk...Like....a Man....woah woah woah......

Mason took up mowing the lawn. I guess he figured someone had to do it. He kept asking me "How does it look Mom?" "Am I doing a good job?......ohp.....missed a spot!" He was really into it.

Alyssa's school fair was on Friday and they had a rock wall. Well, the rest says it all!

He came down and the first thing he said, "Mom, will you blog it so you can show all of the peoples in my family?" He was so proud! We were too, a bit nervous....but proud! Go Mason!

Easter Sunday

Easter was a beautiful day after days of rain and cold weather. Alyssa and Mason finally got new bikes. They had both outgrown their other ones. I had a TREK bike growing up and have so many fun memories. Our neighborhood is nice and flat, unlike the one I grew up in, making bike riding so much better as a kid!
They also woke up to a basket left by the bunny. Here is Viv really taking in this tradition for the first time!

I just can't get over Viv's curls. It was so humid this week and her curl's just looped up so tight! Mmm!

Easter was perfect. I taught my YW class for our lesson at church. It was so great to be reminded, on such a deep level, of the love my Savior has for all of us! It was such an amazing day.

Go Chiefs!!

Since August Alyssa has been part of a local cheer squad. She had practice four to five days a week through November. It was exhausting at times for all of us (everything was centered around her cheer schedule) but, the reward was at cheer offs, on November 6th. Her squad worked very hard, placing 3rd in the dance division and ranking 4th in the cheer division. I am so proud of all of her hard work. And she is quite the talented cheerleader. I love that she can be part of something she loves to do, is really good at it, and that teaches her that others count on her to work hard and be dependable! I said I wouldn't do it again.....but cheer offs had me considering it for next year.
C-H-I-E-F-S GO CHIEFS !!!

Mason was always cheering along with her. He'd chant cheers in the tub, on the toilet, in the car.....he knew them all

Alyssa's friend Chloe. Waiting for their turn to Cheer!
