Three years ago, we finalized our adoption. I remember this weekend. We were so excited. We had to finalize the adoption in Orlando, so we were excited to take our first family trip together (minus the three day drive from WI to FL. in January of that same year.....) Okay second! But still we had grand plans to finish the day off in Disney or Seaworld, find something fun to do to commemorate our special day. We got to our hotel in the evening. And got ready for bed.......
I'm pretty sure they are watching T.V, hence the wide eyed stares.
Watched them sleep together..............this never got old.
Excuse me for a second while I go bawl in my bedroom.........Why do my babies grow up.
The next morning we arrived at the courthouse, and met with the judge.
It took a few minutes and then we went downstairs to file their birth certificates, to which my utter shame as a wife spelled Dave's middle name wrong on one of them......still haven't gotten that fixed........still get harassed about it.
................We didn't end up going anywhere afterward. I think we were too tired and nervous about hauling 5 month olds around a theme park. Happy Adoption Day Simon and Liv. we love you so much and are so blessed to have you in our lives.
