So last night I had my first experience in voting. I mailed out my little absentee ballot and hopefully the guy I voted to be President will be President. And an exciting find I made today is that BYU offers a basket weaving class. How cool is that? I am seriously going to try to get into that class next semester. If anything I'll get a couple of sweet baskets out of it.
So the big decision this week was to decide how to get down to CA for Thanksgiving Hols. I'm still working on that but we'll see. So that's what has been going on this week.
That and Laprino, a cheese company, came to BYU today to give a presentation to the Food Science Club. Great Pizza.

Bugs In My Food
So this is really gross. My lovely visiting teachers brought me a candy bar for my birthday. So I ate 1 half of it, look down into the wrapper, and find a lovely shiny black beetle. Just sitting all dead like on top of the other half of the 100 Grand. And then a couple of weeks after that I went to Cafe Rio and get a fly in my food. Cafe Rio mostly does salads (really big ones) and the poor little fly was all mixed up with the lettuce, chicken, and sauce. I don't even think he knew what hit him. I guess that since I want to go into Quality Control as a possible career, I am going to be blessed the rest of my life with insects in my food. At least I get extra protein, right?
Summer Internship

So all of summer I had the opportunity to intern with Deseret Dairy. I think that it was one of the most fun summers that I have ever had. Now don't get me wrong, my social life suffered a bit because I was not keeping normal college student hours. I woke up before the crack of dawn (4am) rode a bus down to Salt Lake City from Provo, and got to work by as the sun was rising at 7am. I am still working on getting back to regular hours. Usually one is supposed to stay up past midnight and wake up around 7. That is the normal run of things in my apartment.
But all the experience I gained was well worth the odd hours.
So this is me in my lovely lab coat (I own two) in the lab, chilling between testing milk and cheese.
Why am I doing this?
The answer is more of a question: "Why Not?" I decided that I want to share what is going on in my life. I may even keep this up if you guys are liking what I am doing.
