Sold!

On March 27 we put our house on the market. 

We had 9 showings in 7 days and a contract on the 8th day. It all happened so fast! What's even wilder is that we are in crazy pack mode right now and will be moving out this coming weekend. And because it all happened so fast, we are moving to my mom's for a few months to regroup, save, and find the next perfect home for our family. 

Although it is all so exciting, I am sad too. I bought this house before Dustin and I were even married all by myself at 25 years old. I'm proud of this home. This is the home we became a family in. There are lots of priceless memories that are attached to this home. But, it's time for us to move on and it's what is best for our family's future. That being said, we can't wait to see what happens next!

Easter 2014

We celebrated Easter for 3 days! Friday we took Ashlyn to the Egg Hunt on the Collierville Square. She didn't really hunt eggs but she sure had fun playing with them and in them.

We decided to go to the Saturday night Easter service this year. I liked it because it was not super crowded like it would have been Sunday morning. Ashlyn went to the nursery for the first time and she did ok. After church we went to dinner with my parents. Ashlyn wore an old smocked dress of mine. Isn't she adorable in it?

Sunday morning we did the whole Easter Bunny thing with Ashlyn. She was so exciting about her basket. She checked each thing out individually and kept saying "oh wow"! It was so cute!

Later that afternoon we went to Dustin's parent's house for a big Easter lunch. 

When we weren't celebrating Easter on our 3 days off, we were packing like mad people. We're moving this weekend! 

15 Months

Ashlyn is 15 months old! So much has changed since I updated at 12 months. She is one BUSY little girl! But, she is probably the happiest baby in the world. She just really loves life and always has a smile on her face. I really love her personality. So fun!

She is 21 pounds, 12 ounces, and 30.5 inches. She's wearing 12 month clothes and size 3 shoes. 

Depending on her mood, sometimes she is walking all over the place. Other times, she crawls. If she is busy and on a mission, it's always fast crawling. But she is a good walker and has become very steady. That is, when she wants to do it!

She is an excellent eater. Right now, she loves fruit, cheese, yogurt, pasta, breads, milk, goldfish, applesauce, and chicken. I think her favorite thing ever is strawberries. She can eat them with every single meal!

Ashlyn is still sleeping about 15-17 hours a day. She is a hard core snoozer! She sleeps 12-14 hours at night and takes a 3 hour nap on average. 

She is starting to say new words and is so funny! She says hi, hey, oh wow, uh uh (like no and shakes head), dog, da (for dad), momma, ayyyy (yay), gigis (strawberries- not sure why), ba (bottle), and probably a few more. Oh Wow is my favorite. She says it with so much expression!

We are so glad it is finally warming up. She loves to play outside and loves a playground! She could play, explore, and watch other children for hours! We are looking forward to summer!

Spring is Coming!

The weather finally seems to be moving toward Spring. Finally! I really felt like Winter would just never end this year. We had 12 inclement weather days. Thankfully we only have to make 1 of them up. We have been enjoying the outdoors as often as we can. Ashlyn loves it outside. Thank you Lord for the sunshine!!
