Kindergarten cutie

Leah came home with her spring photos from school. Why is she holding a recorder in her hands???!!! Thats just what I said! This is such a cute picture of my girl... but what the heck! As far as I know she is not an aspiring recorder player. So why would they ruin a picture with a prop that has nothing to do with anything?! "here, hold this. It matches your shirt." Genius!

I'm getting nottin for Christmas!

Leah, the performer wanted to put a show on for all her family. So since her family is scattered all across the globe.. this is the best we could do.

We had a great Christmas. I love having kids old enough to care what's going on, to see the excitement and joy on their faces.
Leah was very concerned how Santa would know what she wanted so I told her that he could hear her whispers. Every once in a while I would catch her talking to herself and she would say "oh, I am just talking to Santa"

On Christmas Eve I made a Turkey Dinner for my family, Kristi , Mark, Asa and Anita.
We opened a few gifts. I made the Girls their Christmas Jammies this year. I know it isn't the season for Frilly Night gowns, but I couldn't resist! Leah saw a night gown and robe like this at Nordstroms and fell in Love. I think mine turned out a much better :)
The girls twirled and danced all night.... And every night since!
I also made them each a Blanket.

On Christmas morning we got to sleep in :) and just enjoy eachother. Leah got barbies and a Computer (daddy's surprise).
Reese got Tea sets (one for the tub and one porcelain) and games.

We had Dinner with the Marler Clan at Kerry's. All and All it was a great Christmas and I am very grateful that I have such a Wonderful Family to build memories with!

My Sweet Remi!

She is the SWEETEST little girl ever!!! Her bright eyes just fill me with joy. I am so in love with this child. Whats not to love? She LOVES her mommy too. Leah and Reese were really never very clingy. But, Remi wants to be with me at all times! She climbs up my pant legs while I am cooking. If someone is holding her and I leave the room, she will arch her little back so she can see me.

She scoots around like a pro. she loves to giggle. she loves to eat. She loves her big sisters, and they adore her.

ANNA RUBY FALLS

We woke up Monday morning (labor day) with nothing to do. So we decided to head up north and spend the day in the mountains. We had the best day! The weather was perfect. We were all in a great mood. I can not tell you how much we enjoyed spending the day together. There is nothing like being outdoors with your family!

On the way to Helen, we stopped off at Baby Land General. For those who do not know... Cleveland GA is the birthplace of Cabbage Patch Kids. They have a "hospital" were they are born. They have a nursery for the newborns, a school for the big kids and a big Cabbage Patch where (if you are lucky enough) you can see one of the babies be "born". The girls were in heaven. They each got a little Cabbage Patch doll figurine that they will not let go of. It was so fun, and I was so proud of Kevin for being such a good sport.

Then we headed up to the falls. The girls had a blast running up the trail. When they would get too far ahead, we would say "Stop" and Leah would have to block Reese from going any further. Remi was even giggling during the hike.

Then we had dinner in Helen, and stopped by the candy shoppe for some Caramel Apples and Chocolate strawberries... YUMM!!

Happy 4th!!!

I LOVE the fourth of July! It is a toss up between Halloween and the 4th as my favorite holiday.
This year was especially fun for some reason. We had a great day. I am sure it went pretty similarly to most people's day. We went to the parade in the morning where the girls had a blast collecting all the candy that was thrown at them. Leah was stubbornly determined to catch a piece of candy and was not interested in all the dumb dumbs and laffy Taffy's that were all around her. Her attitude improved once she caught a piece of Double Bubble.
After the Parade, we ALL were able to get a nap which just made the day pretty much perfect :)

We watched the Fireworks with a bunch of friends on the Golf Course. It was just far enough away not to scare Remi.

To top it all off, the girls looked adorable in their outfits that I made for them.

My Girls

I know, I know! Why on earth would I go somewhere to get pictures taken when I am married to a great photographer?! Well, we don't have a studio and I wanted to get Remi's picture taken in her blessing dress. And I thought... while I was there I could get Reese's two year old pics taken. and hey, why not bring Leah too.
Needless to say it turned into a big ordeal. I am pretty happy with the shots we got for the most part. I am very disappointed that non of Remi and her blessing dress turned out. After all this, I am going to have Kev take some of her anyway.

Look at these beauties! I cannot believe they belong to me.
Such different little personalities and different looks. I honestly don't see the resemblance between them. I even had a lady ask me if they all had the same dad! Yes, they are all Marler girls.. I guess we just have a big gene pool!

Bad, bad Blogger!

My sister called me the other day and got mad that I haven't been posting any updates.... So Stacy, this post is for you! And get ready for it. A lot has happened the last month or so!

We Blessed Remi a couple of Sundays ago. She looked so precious in the Heirloom blessing dress. It melted my heart to see her darling face when kevin held her up after the blessing.

It has been SO RAINY lately. The girls (my self included) have been feeling so stuck in the house so we decided to make the most of a rainy weekend and SPLASH!!!!
It was cold, so the girls got in a warm bath and had Hot cocoa afterward.

This year we had a very eventful Easter Weekend...

It began Saturday morning at the Church Easter Brunch. Of course I dressed the girls all the same. They looked so cute... Why is it so hard to get a decent picture of the three of them together!?

That night, I decorated eggs with the girls. Kevin was out of town.. it was just me, holding a crying baby in the sling, two excited kids, a few dozen eggs and a bunch of dye. Sounds like a recipe for disaster! Surprisingly, it all went pretty well and we had a good time. Reese Only managed to throw one egg across the room and dump the red dye on my Kitchen rug (I needed a new one anyway :)

Look what we did! We tie dyed and did glitter! Yeah for me, Go MOM!

Easter morning we went to Kevin's mom's "MaMa" for an Easter Brunch. We don't have church until 2:00 so we had plenty of time to enjoy the morning together.
The food was yummy, and the kids had a good time searching for eggs again.
This was the third Hunt for Reesie, she is a Pro now!

I made the girls their little Red Night gowns. I thought they were too cute just to wear to bed, so they wore them to the brunch.

The whole Marler group together.

I love this picture! The girls love their Mama!

Now we are all ready for Church. Dressed in our Easter Best. Remi wore the sweet little dress my mom made for Reese for Mackenzie's wedding.

Reesie Roo turned TWO!!
She had a fun day at the park. I made sac lunches for everyone. It was pretty cold and windy, but the kids were glad to have a break from all the rain!

These are just a couple of sweet little pictures of Remi. I think she was about 3-4 weeks old.
