I am finding it rather difficult to believe that the cowardly bishops were not waiting for something like the Cass Review before doing anything vaguely like teaching on the difficult and dangerous problem of the transgender agenda. Who can forget that our bishops pretty much sold us down the river back in 2017  and there are many examples of bishops promoting a pro-trans and queer agenda in our dioceses in the name of inclusion and love. They have facilitated Stonewall's infiltration of Catholic Schools and while some have acted with courage (John Wilson) others have completely failed to stand up to this pernicious ideology. Now the Cass Review has sounded the all clear and our meek bishops finally stick their heads over the trench to see how the fighting has gone.   We all know how bad John Arnold is as bishop of Salford. Endlessly focused on the environment, promoting ideologies at odds with Catholic teaching , closing down parishes & destroying Catholic communities in his diocese and chairman over a gradual secularisation of CAFOD . It is little wonder then to find a school in his diocese which has a Twitter basically dedicated to promoting dangerous transgender ideology. I thank God for brave Catholics like Caroline Farrow who are willing to put their own well-being at risk in pushing back against the false and dangerous ideologies which are being foisted on our children presently. This situation is particularly pernicious - the woman who reported Caroline has received half-a-million in sterling from the government to promote her false ideology. The Daily Mail reports that, in a speech to London school leaders last month, Cardinal Vincent Nichols told an audience of head teachers that pupils may question their identity, but schools could not ignore the sex they were born into. According to the Mail he said children were not simply individuals who could do as they liked, but were part of a wider community that had ‘firm points of reference’. A number of friends have drawn my attention to Melanie Phillips' article above which addresses the crazy news coming out of the Church of England at the moment regarding the ever pernicious and aggressive transgender agenda.
