My new ipod touch arrived today, and it's amazing! Definitely a step up from my old one. It's only been a couple hours and I'm already having so much fun with it! It's love.....

Bite Me!

Here is a little video of me making my all important purchase. What a great night...

It's been a while

What do you get when you combine me, kyla, corn salsa, and twilight? One fantabulous weekend, that's what!
I've been meaning to post about this for a while, but I've been busy and haven't ever gone around to it. I mean, with the Olympics on every night from 8-midnight, i just HAD to watch all 4 hours of them, every single night, right? Anyhoo...So almost a month ago (a whole month, sheesh! time is flying!) my old roomie Kyla came up from Las Vegas to visit me. We had a total blast. Why is it so much fun to just sit around and laugh about the past? She came on Thursday night, July 31st and left on Sunday, August 3rd.
Friday we started off the day hiking Badger Mountain with Danielle and my mom. My mom and I had hiked this 4 mile hike many-a-time, but it was Kyla and Danielle's first time. I think they enjoyed themselves. (I hope?) Despite the intense wind....

Ok, so any hard-core Twilight fan knows that Saturday, August 2nd, was a very important day in their lives. The 4th book came out! I have been looking forward to this day for...who knows how long...and then it finally came. Kyla and I went to pick up our line placement wrist bands for the midnight release party around 3pm on Friday, and its a good thing we did! We were numbers 36-39 and I saw a girl with number 230 on her wristband, and she was still part of those who had reserved the book, then those who hadn't reserved the book were after all of us, so I wonder how many people were actually there that night? Here are a few pics of the midnight release party over at Barnes and Noble.

We were actually able to buy the book around 12:04am. We came home, got ready, Kyla brought out her Diet Coke, and began to read the book around 12:30am. We didn't stop reading until 7am, when we were forced to get ready for my mom's work patient party that we had to help at. It really was torture, cooking hotdogs for 6 hours with Breaking Dawn on the brain. I just wanted to know what happened! Kyla and I came back home, and took a little nap, then about 2 hours later, woke up and started reading again, paused to eat dinner around 8pm, then read till we both fell asleep again, which wasn't too much later, around 9:30. We were very tired. Then we woke up on Sunday and read till it was time for church, then came back home and read till dinner, then read some more after dinner, where we finally finished. We LOVED it! Really I did, i've been hearing good things and bad things about, but, everything that I wanted to happen, happened! So I was very happy with the way it ended. But, I haven't had my fill. I want it to keep going on and on....I was honestly sad when I read "the end". My heart literally broke a little bit.

Overall it was a super fun weekend with my girlfriend Kyla. Good food, good book, good laughs, good times. I love my friends.

School starts two weeks from today. Ugh. I'm sooo not ready to do homework again.

This weekend I'm going down to Phoenix with my parents to pick up the sailboat they bought. I know, I think they're crazy too. I'm not really looking forward to the drive home from Arizona. I haven't made a drive that long in...i don't know when. I guess I'm just spoiled from all those free flights. I tried to get Kyla to go to Hawaii with me instead, but, no such luck.

My ipod mini (which they don't even make anymore), officially bit the dust. Well, I guess its 'official' death date would be about 2 months ago, but I finally bought a new ipod cord (my old roomie stole mine, thief!) to see if I could find out what's wrong with it, but I've tried everything it said to do on apple.com/support, and my ipod isn't even responding when I plug it into my computer. ugh. But, i have been wanting a new one for a while, so I guess this just gives me the excuse to actually go and buy a new one! Whoopie!

Sorry for the long, boring, post.

Reminisce

One of my oldest friends Natalie had this on her blog, and I thought it looked fun, so please play along! Reminiscing about good times is one of my favorite things to do! Just the other night, my friend Danielle and I (kyla was there too), were reading what she wrote in my yearbook our senior year 4 years ago, it was hilarious and so much fun to remember some of the things we had forgotten. Even if you look at my blog without me knowing and have a memory of us together, don't be afraid to share! Because chances are.....I probably stalk yours too......

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how people remember you! It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you.

hugs & kisses,
Courtney
