Field Trips June 2010

Each week of the summer we take a day (usually a Thursday or Friday) and go on a Field Trip somewhere in Idaho. We might choose a place that is far away or a place that is close but we pack a lunch and snacks and take the whole day. Both the kids and I love it. The kids like to see new places and I love the ease of getting them to do their jobs the week prior to the trip.

In June we went to Givens Hot Springs on the Snake River, between Melba and Marsing, ID (no pics this year), Table Rock in Boise, Camel's Back Park in Boise and Settler's Park in Meridian (Braden missed out on this one - he was at Webelo's Day Camp).

TABLE ROCK:

Sam's grandpa was a member of the Boise JC's and was beneficial in helping put this cross up on Table Rock. Check out the kids at the bottom of the picture - it gives you an idea of how big this cross actually is.

CAMEL'S BACK PARK:
This is the coolest park for my older and younger kids both because they not only have a lot of regular playground toys, they have a huge hill to climb that attracts the big kids. The view is amazing from the top!

SETTLER'S PARK:
A FREE park with water attractions, playground equipment on rubber-soft surfaces, rocks to climb on, and educational toys? Definately a family favorite!
