Little Cat Feet

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

4 Months Missing Scooby

Yesterday was 4 months since Scooby went to the Rainbow Bridge far too early.

Seems like longer than that, and the hole in my heart is still so sore and empty.
I miss this Tuxie boy so much.
He was the epitome of gentleness.
From his glossy fur to his soulful green eyes and that plush, soft belly to the tips of those ears, I miss him so.
Today I gave his littermate Shaggy a good long brushing and told him all the fine things I remember about his brother.

I know how you feel. That hole does get smaller with time, but it's never gone.

Scooby will always be missed, your heart wll always be a little empty, but someday you will see him again, and he is watching you and purring his love. If you listen quietly, you will hear him.

Many purrs to you! It's important to remember Scooby and that hole can never close up as it has to keep those good memories fresh.

(((Hugs))) and purrs. You never get over the missing, you just get used to the absence, as one blogger put it quite some time ago. :-(

I still get all leaky about my last tuxie, Gadoo. He was my best cat of all (don't tell Lucy and Skootch!), and I still miss him. Purrs to you.
