Haircut!

Here is the last post I am going to make today! (I have already posted twice so don't forget to scroll down!) Yesterday my sister-in-law Jodi came over and we did some shopping. Then we came home and she cut Braedon's hair. No, this is not his first haircut, but it is sooooo cute that I wanted to post the picture!
Before

After

He loved getting his haircut! This morning he woke up and wanted Jodi to come back because he wanted another haircut!

My sweet boy!

Since I have been feeling significantly better the last couple of weeks I have been getting back into my normal routine! It feels so good to be a wife and a mother that actually takes care of her family! The two months when Derek took over are definitely appreciated but I am so glad to be back!
Anyway, so I was making Derek some peanut butter bars and I finally got to pull out the new apron that he got me for Christmas. So I was baking away and Braedon came into the kitchen and looked at me wearing the apron and said "Mommy, you look so beautiful!" It was the sweetest thing! After I was done he found the apron, put it on and started saying "so beautiful." So here he is the the beautiful apron!

Spring is coming!!!

This last week there were a couple of really nice days that probably made it close to in the 60's. So Braedon and I took advantage of the warmth and played outside. Braedon loved it! His favorite part was the dirt and the rocks! Here he is holding a couple of his rocks...he made a quick stop to smile for the camera!

Then when daddy got home the fun continued! Braedon taking a horsey ride!

Pregnancy Update

I had my OB appointment today...and no, I do not know what I am having yet. It was just suppose to be my normal come in, get weighed, listen for heart beat, measure belly, and talk about any concerns. Well, my only concern is that I am actually gaining weight this pregnancy as opposed to Braedon's where I thought that not gaining was a pretty nice thing! I mean I know that gaining is okay, especially since I was at -15 and I have only gained 7 of that back...but still...gaining is hard for me. Anyway, back to the appointment. So the nurse comes in to listen for the heart beat and it is taking her a really long time to find it. She started to seem concerned so then I got really nervous. She finally found the baby hanging out at the very top right of my uterus. She got the heart rate and then put the info into the computer, asked me if I had any concerns and then told me the doctor would be in to see me. The next thing I know the doctor comes in with an ultra sound machine. She just said that the nurse seemed a little concerned so she would just check it out. So I got to see my little baby! The doctor didn't take any measurements but said that everything looked fine and I saw the heart beat and all the body parts (for the most part). At the end of the ultra sound I went out on a limb and asked if she could see what the gender was. Well the baby was spine up so she said that we would have to poke around and see if we could get the baby to turn over so we could see. At that point I decided that I should wait until my actual ultra sound so Derek could be there to find out with me! So I found out that the baby looks good (as far as it was looked at) and that I will be waiting until April 10th to find out if this little one is a boy or a girl! (oh also, I found out that the feet are right on top of my bladder just kicking away! no wonder I am always going to the bathroom!)

News/Good News!

Okay, so I am a little late on writing about this but I have been too concerned to bring it up until I knew more. At the end of February my dad went into an asthma doctor because he was having a lot of trouble breathing. The doctor ordered some tests and a CT scan. As soon as the results came in she immediately got a hold of him and let him know that he needed to get into an ENT specialist asap. He had some masses growing around his trachea. So they found out that he had two large masses growing on his thyroid that were pushing his trachea and only letting 30% of any air come in or out. So this past Wednesday he went in for surgery to get them removed. He had all of his thyroid removed and the two masses. When we asked the doctor how big the masses were he said that the big one was the size of an orange and the other was the size of a lime. Can you imagine? An orange and a lime hanging out inside of your throat! No wonder he couldn't breathe! So the surgery went well and he is home recovering. He feels like he is breathing better so that is a relief. Just one more relief that needs to come is when the biopsy results come in next week to know if there was any cancer or not. (But the doctor doesn't think so.) So that has been my week in review. Just a lot of worrying (which currently comes very easily because I am a huge ball of pregnant hormones).
