Wyatt's First Birthday

 Wyatt turned One!

We were able to teach him to clap and give high fives, yet refuses to learn any other tricks, no sign language for him. ;) He walks all around the furniture but is yet to take his first steps anywhere. He loves his big brother the most and feels Mom is his personal slave. He loves to snuggle and laughs more then anyone else in this house, which is not saying much, but we loving hearing his giggles.

Height 30 in
Weight 23 lbs.
Dark Brown eyes, long lashes
Brown hair
He says "dog" sounds like "Dak" and "drink"  sounds like "Dri"

We had cake and Ice cream at Grandma and Grandpas with Uncle Cooper. Love having them around, he got beach and pool toys for summer fun.
At home on his Birthday we had pancake, his favorite breakfast and opened presents. Then we spent the day in Santa fe as a family with was a pretty perfect One year celebration. The best part about thinking about this day a year ago, is that I did not have to re live a long labor, it was fun to think about by the time we were done with our Pancakes we were meeting Wyatt for the first time.

I don't think he actually opened any of his presents all by himself, ;) maybe next year.

End of School! Start of Summer Yee Haw

The last week of school was half days and fun. we got to ease into having Conway at home more and loved it. Elle and Conway have officially become the best playmates! (this is why people have more then one) The primary team through a super hero party and invited the fire truck to the playground to spray all the kids down. It was awesome! Conway refused to hug Mrs. Littleton goodbye, but she wrestled him down for a hug, she really was perfect for him and he loved her lots.

My handsome first grader.

Summer has kicked off in full swing and it has been awesome.
We bought a boat with my parents that we LOVE! It is so much fun being on the lake. So far we have made it to Navajo, and Abique, Lake Powell soon!

We went to the Kite Festival! Our favorite White Rock activity each year.

We have been to the pool a few times Wyatt did not enjoy the first few times, it was too cold, he is tolerating it better each time we go
And enjoyed the parks and a going on hikes, the did half of blue dot and did great, we will try the full trail when we can take Dad.

We got our garden in. We are excited to try the 3 sisters, native american strategey for gardening, we will keep you posted how well it goes for us. We planted a few watermelon, tomotoes, peepers, then lots of squash varieties, the beans and corn.

We love summer!

Anniversary trip get away

Britton had a work conference in Rhode Island, and after looking at the map he realized he was only an hour away from Boston, MA, Almost ten years ago we went to Bostong together for our Honeymoon. We thought this would be a good opportunity to go back, especially since work would be paying for the hotel and rent a car it would be awesome!Britton flew out first for a few days of classes while I held down the fort at home. then Wyatt and I flew out on Wednesday to meet him. Wyatt did pretty good for a 4 hour flight with not melt downs, and it is always easier to go from 3 to one kids, even if he is the baby ;) The hotel was a very expensive Marriott in Providence, RI we had valet service and an amazing view of the State Capital building
Wyatt and i did some shopping while Britton was in class Thursday.
Then picked up Britton and drove to Newport, RI, Britton had planned a surprise for me. He scheduled us a tour at an old Mansion from the gilded age of America, in the 1920's the Vanderbilt family, who built Railroads in America built some summer homes on this little island off Rhode Island, they were amazing, the artistry of the buildings and the rooms, It was Downton Abbey, awesome.
the bath tub in this picture woudl be filled and emptied 4 times before the marble was warmed enough for a guest to enter.
The weather was super rainy and chilly for May, but it did not stop us from enjoying the tour and beautiful area in Rhode Island.

The next day we did our second tour after Britton finished class and was amazed that they would only use these home for a few months out the year and would travel to their other homes all of the country. I just couldn't even imagine that kind of lifestyle, it was so fun to look at all the pretty things though. Full libraries and kitchens just for  6 weeks of entertainment, the tour did say they would rent them out when they were not using them though, can you imagine scoring that kind of did on AirBNB?

One my favorite things on any vacation is trying new food, we enjoyed lots of yummy seafood,

Wyatt loved it too! We tried a couple different variation so clam chowder and loved it all! I think Wyatt really enjoyed have both of our full attention for 5 days more then anything, the food was a close second for him.

The rest of the weekend we spent in Boston, we went to some of Britton's old stomping grounds, stepped in the Atlantic ocean. Loved Papusas in Britton's favorite area in Lynne, attend church at his favorite branch in Boston. we walked up the Monument at Bunker hill
that Britton had done a number of times on his p days but we didn't get to do when we went for our honeymoon, it was fun to do that part of Freedon trail this time

It was so fun to spend time together visting beautiful people that so strongly influenced Britton 12 years ago, and see the love the still had for him so many years.

The flight home was so nice to had Dad around, I even got to read a book on the plane it was so great!

Thanks Mom, Dad and Cooper for watching the big kids. It was was an awesome trip.
