Yea - A good person won the Biggest Loser!

We are big fans of the Biggest Loser show and for the first time in all the seasons, we had players that we did not care for. Cough Cough, Heba, Ed, Vicky!

So, we were pleased last night when Michelle won the entire thing. The show is so inspiring! I sure wish we could look as good as the "after" shots. Look at her muscles. Anyway, we were please with the outcome & we are excited that the new season starts up again in just a few weeks. After I have this baby in July, I'll need to get my butt in gear so I can look as good as Michelle. :) It probably doesn't help that we sit on the couch & eat while we watch the contestants work out. However, last night we made a healthy snack choice of orange slices for our finale snack. I wonder if eating oranges takes away the fact that I have been munching on cookies from my Mom's club cookie exchange for 2 days. (I wish!)

It's A BABY!

We are proud to announce that we are expecting again!
I had my first ultrasound yesterday. I am almost 10 weeks. The baby is due 7-8-09...but is measuring a due date of July 4th. *We may have a little firecracker on our hands this summer.
We think Crew will be a great Big Brother. Well, he is into babies...then again, they don't spend the night. But we have plenty of time to prepare him for the new baby's arrival.
We better also get him potty trained before July. I swore I would never have 2 in diapers at the same time. :)
Anyway...we are thrilled & I just had to post this "teddy bear" pose of our new little boy or girl.

Crew's 2 year old pictures

I just have to post Crew's 2 year old pictures. We went to Portrait Innovations. They have a great deal on pictures for just $9.95. I think we are going to have our family holiday picture taken there as well. Anyway, I think Crew's pics turned out great! Here is my little cutie. (Both grandmothers & his GG (Great grandmother) think he should be in modeling. But I'd say we might have a biased opinion. :)Add Image

Crew's 2nd B-day

I realize I have not been a very good blogger. It is so difficult to find spare time to update everything. (Our family picture website, Facebook & this blog.) But, I am going to try and update at least once a week. Since I am so behind, I have to go back a few weeks to Crew's amazing Pirate Birthday Party. I think all of the kids had a blast & Crew enjoyed his special day. It was extra special because his Mom Mom flew in from Colorado for the weekend. I think there were a total of 16 kids at the party. Crew is blessed to have so many wonderful friends. However, I think his favorite part of the whole day was eating the cake.I made his pirate ship cake using a regular cake pan for the ocean water. (Using the icing to make little waves.) And a bunt pan to make the pirate ship. Then I just cut the circle in half and used the "U" shape for the ship. I used bamboo skewers to make the sails. Add a few Rollo's for cannons, Whoppers for cannon balls & plastic pirate figures to make it complete.Happy Birthday Crew!!!

Locks of Love

So, I was sick & tired of styling my long hair. I knew I wanted to get a cut...but then I decided, why not cut 10 + inches & give my hair as a donation to locks of love. I held a hair drive about 8 years ago for Locks of love & didn't have enough hair to donate. (8 years later, I finally had the length. )
Here are the before & After photos.

Our Son is a Republican

We are so proud...
Last night while watching the Republican National Convention, Crew would clap & yell "YEA" when the audience would stand & cheer for John McCain on TV. Too bad our video camera battery was dead. We would have loved to get that on camera.
Go McCain!!!

Vegas Baby!

We just got home for a whirlwind trip to Las Vegas. I was attending a trade show for my clothing line and brought my mom & Crew along for the ride. Aaron had to stay home and work. :( We left our camera in the car...so we only have pictures of our 1st & last day. I did gamble one night & only lost a few dollars - so I'll take that as a win!!!

On the way to Vegas, there was major traffic at the Hoover Dam so we stopped to take a picture. (I have a picture from 2 years ago at the same sign while I was pregnant with Crew.) The car read 124 degrees at this spot. It was so HOT - It felt like we were standing in an oven.

We stayed at the Circus Circus and had no idea that it was one of the most run down hotels in Vegas - but we handled it for 2 days & Crew enjoyed all the Circus themed activities! he won 5 stuffed animals & was in heaven!

As we left Vegas, we made a stop at the Mirage to look at the fish, dolphins & tigers. Crew was in Awe...I wish I had the video camera to catch all his ewwws & ahhhhs. He is too cute! Crew starting crying when we went to take a picture with Sigfried and Roy (Who can blame him.) It was awesome to get so close to the dolphins!!! I think Crew wanted to jump over the wall & go swimming with them. While we were there, some trainers came out and put a chain on this tiger. They enticed him with a piece of meat so he would get off the log. However, he started to fall when he got close to the ground. They are amazing animals. Look at those big paws!

We had lunch at a new restaurant in the Mirage - it is in the location where the tiger exhibit used to be.
Over all it was a great trip. We'll go back to Vegas any time...just not stay at the Circus Circus. :)

Sleep Position

I went in to check on Crew before bed the other night...I couldn't believe the position that he was sleeping in. That can't be comfortable.

Clean Joke (Thanks Maria)

A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door.
Therefore, he took out a business card and wrote 'Revelation 3:20' on the back of it and stuck it in the door.
When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, 'Genesis 3:10.'
Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock.' Genesis 3:10 reads, 'I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked.'
Remember when the funniest jokes were the clean ones? They still are!
'A cheerful heart is good medicine' (Prov. 17:22)
Sorrow looks back,
Worry looks around,
Faith looks up.

Little Artisit

Bad Boy

I hate to block my child's creativity. But yesterday he gave me no choice when he decided to color the marble floor with crayon & the coffee table with marker. (Let me mention that he did this all in a matter on minutes while I was typing on the computer.)
Coloring in my little Diego coloring book is not as fun!
GOOD BOY
Today - Crew actually asked to take a nap. He ran back to his room pointed at his crib. When I put him in bed he got a huge smile on his face & closed his eyes. It was awesome! If only every nap time was this easy.

Powers of the Universe

I've recently gotten into the idea that the universe has untapped power that we cannot see. Aaron and I are attending an enerpathic training seminar tonight to learn how to use our energy pendents we bought. Supposedly, they keep your body's energy field in a specific frequency. (One that protects you from harmful radiation & energy that emits from our cell phones, computers, etc.)
I received an email the other day that might come in handy if you don't have a special energy pendant. :) lol
http://www.freeshield.net/
(It is free - you can print off a paper strip that you can add to your cell phone.)
Sounds hoaky...but you can test it in a double blind test. It is fun to prove to others that it actually works. I printed off mine the other day. Email me if you want me to just forward you the page you print. The powers of the universe are amazing....

On a side note...

Yesterday Crew learned to blow his nose. It is really cute! (well except for the snot part)

Numerology

I came across a fun website today. It is a numerology site.

How Do you Find your Life Path Number?
It's easy... just type in your birth date with the calculator to the right.REMEMBER to include the full year (e.g., 9+2+6+1+9+7+3).
For a birthday of Sept. 26th, 1973, type it in just like in the EXAMPLE below.(Every 2 or 3 digit sum then must be added together to form a single digit:9+2+6+1+9+7+3 = 37 :: 3+7 = 10 :: 1+0 = 1 Life Path)

Mine was 6...but because I used 33 to get to 6...I am also a 3. If you have a double number like 11, 22 or 33 then you get 2 numerology numbers.
I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW ACCURATE THE DESCRIPTIONS ARE!!!
Kelly = 3 and 6
Aaron = 1 and 2
Crew = 5 (Yikes - read below) He looks so innocent now....

What Is a Life Path Number?
A Life Path Number is the most significant vibration one must connect with and play out in life to feel deep satisfaction, balance and happiness.
Think of a life path number as your umbrella... it's the most important vibration hovering over & governing your life and pretty much makes up WHO YOU ARE. Pythagoras (ancient mathmetician, philosopher and scientist) said that everything in the Universe vibrates at a certain energy wave frequency and that everything seen and unseen in the world can be reduced to a number... a single wave of energy. Ahhhhh... and numerology was born!
Oh, and this stuff is NOT new, peeps! Numerology and the study of energy has existed for over 2,000 years! It's a beautiful way to see yourself on a whole new level. Do you have plaguing questions about yourself and others? Have you been soul searching? Want to know why you do the things you do? Numerology is definitely a good start. It's so fascinating how the numbers tell so much about us...

The Number ONE
The person with the ONE Life Path Number is considered the leader. Ones are entrepreneurs by nature and usually have some fairly innovative ideas rolling around in the old noggin. Ones like to WIN; however, they also like watching others win. A drawback of the One is that they are extremely hard on themselves. If something does not go just right for the One, or they make a mistake, they will beat themselves up for it over and over! The One is a hard worker and feels that the world is their oyster! Ones lead the way & blaze the trails and they do it with style, creativity and as "perfectly" as possible.
The Number TWO
The person with the TWO Life Path Number is the peacemaker of the bunch. Twos cannot stand conflict and will avoid it like the plague. Anger will destroy the Two as they are natural mediators and like to keep the peace. A Two will help you out of any situation, but can sometimes help too much, leaving them wondering how they got all wrapped up in someone else's mess! The Two seeks harmony in life and LOVES lots of hugs and kisses. Twos are very sensitive and perceptive. Many are psychic.
The Number THREE
The person with the THREE Life Path Number is the entertainer! Threes LOVE the spotlight and are the great communicators of the group, whether it be written, spoken, or sung, the Three is INTO IT! They love to connect with others and often have a strong wit. The Three is a natural sales person, especially when selling themselves! Threes crave romance and often have a hard time getting over past relationships. Threes must find a creative outlet for their energy; otherwise they may be a magnet for drama. Threes loathe the standard "9 to 5" and must have a deep connection with people, places and things.
The Number FOUR
The person with the FOUR Life Path Number is the grand life teacher. Fours are cerebral and seek knowledge and truth in life. They find comfort in nature and are courageous, knowledgeable souls. The Four cannot stand criticism as it stifles their valiant nature & therefore may cause any GREAT ideas floating around in their heads to never come to fruition. Fours are very honest and direct and tend to over-analyze. There's a lot going on in their heads, so they must try to calm that beast! Fours love the safety of their home and are usually very happy to stay home on a Friday night. Fours don't like to be pushed into anything, just watch the mood change of a four who is being pushed or harassed. They are grounded individuals and like the tangible.
The Number FIVE
The person with the FIVE Life Path Number is the free bird & adventurer! The five loves to travel and they seem to get bored very easily. Fives love to escape, many time through novels and books, but unfortunately it’s sometimes through drugs, sex, food, alcohol and (of course) rock-n-roll, baby! They need to find a healthy outlet for all that energy! The Five usually plans a killer party as they are the ultimate fun-loving number and natural entertainers. Fives know how to enjoy life and are multi-talented individuals. They do not like clingy partners and cannot stand being controlled. Fives want the world to look AMAZING and know how to celebrate life.
The Number SIX
The person with the SIX Life Path Number is the nurturer. The Six is the ultimate helper/healer walking the earth. They do not mind personal sacrifice for the betterment of another. They are very opinionated people; however, they cannot stand to be criticized. If the Six does not have children, most often they are hooked up with four legged fur-baby friends. Sixes should definitely own their own business - here they can look after their staff like their "children" as well. The Six is usually very creative and seeks harmony in life & relationships. Sixes are generous, kind and very sentimental.
The Number SEVEN
The person with the SEVEN Life Path Number is the great philosopher of life! The Seven is quite a different breed! :) Sevens usually look at other people and go, "HUH?" The Seven is the magical number of the group and they seek wisdom in solitude. Sevens like their space and they tend to over-analyze. There's so much going on upstairs, it's sometimes hard for them to focus. The Seven is very loyal, but quite a mystery to many. Sevens mentally scan a room for all the details before a word will come out of their mouths - when they are quiet, they are simply observing the world going on around them. The Seven is always seeking answers to life's biggest mysteries and they fiercely guard their inner worlds.
The Number EIGHT
The person with the EIGHT Life Path Number is the executive! Eights are the extreme POWER number. They are true visionaries and often make a slew of money in life (effort is definitely required) - but you'd never know it, because they don't tend to flaunt their riches. Eights know how to manage EVERYTHING, from finances to coworkers. The Eight is the ultimate survivor and knows how to guide, inspire and encourage. The Eight is a fun-loving person and likes the finer things in life. Eights are strong in mind, body and spirit!
The Number NINE
The person with the NINE Life Path Number is the humanitarian. Nines want to make the world better! A Nine has abounding compassion and they are very idealistic. Sometimes the Nines can have their head in the clouds - but that's not so bad since their deep concern for the world always comes back into focus. What's so bad about being on cloud Nine, anyway? :) Nines are GIVERS - they will go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. Nines always see the bigger picture and attract all the right people in their lives! The Nine is free of prejudice and will always finish what they start.
Master Numbers: 11 & 22 The people with master numbers, 11 and 22 are also broken down to a single digit in the way I do numerology, but there is big significance behind the double digits. Any time there are multiple numbers in your chart, it is telling you to pay close attention to that vibration. You are here to perfect that vibration in you; however, keep your sanity in the process :) So, the double 1s have tons of innovative ideas and the drive of a Mack truck, but shouldn't be so terribly hard on themselves. Double 1s want it ALL to be perfect and we all know that life just isn't that way, so go easy on yourselves! The double 2s should find the most amazing peace within, but should remember that TOO much help with other's lives can become a huge drag, and an energy drainer for them. Whether you are an 11, or 22, give yourself a chance to really embrace your vibration and let the insecurities go about having to "MASTER" your life.
So, If your Life Path vibration adds to a double digit, then it means that you are vibrating at that digit frequency DOUBLE TIME, MY FRIEND!
Remember that when you're driving yourself mad with that double vibration (and I know you do! ), reduce the number and go to the ooother siiiide.... (LoL) Here's a bit of advice: Double 1s - Give yourself a break, 1, and lean on the 2 side of things when you're overanalyzing everything (11 broken down becomes a 2) . Find peace in your own head and know that you are loved for that crazed gotta-have-everything-perfect side of you. Know that you are always "good enough" (thanks Glynis) !Double 2s - You don't have to save the world, 2... especially the parts of the world that are not-so-grateful and do not understand the peace and love that you need to keep balance in your life. If you find that side of you is being taken for granted, slip on over to the 4 side of things (22 breaks down to a 4) and give em' that "I-won't-take-any-crap-from-you" attitude! 4s are not rude people, but they will definitely tell it to you straight and with total honesty. Give it to 'em, tiger... they will learn a bit or two from you, as well. Just remember that words can sometimes be very hurtful, so THINK before you speak... I know that crazy-talk streak in you, double 2! Wooooo-Weeeee.

NJ Vacation

OK, so all my friends have blogs & I suppose I better get with the times.
So, I thought I'd start with our recent vacation....

Jersey Shore July 5 - July 12, 2008

We had a wonderful trip to NJ this summer. It was Crew's first time at the beach. He loved the sand...didn't love the cold water. Collecting sea shells and throwing sand were the highlight of his days. It was also great to meet some of Mom Mom's NJ family. We stayed at Crew's godparents house. (Aunt Jo Jo & Uncle Bruce, Tristan & Erica) Crew loved all the attention and actually started saying Eri-ca.

After long days on the beach, Crew would pass out on the way home.

To see more pictures, visit our family picture site at http://www.kucera.myphotoalbum.com/

After we left, Crew's Mom Mom & Papa Barr stayed for another week. Unfortunately, Barr was hit by a truck on his bike. (We are waiting for that picture.) He is bruised but doing just fine. :)
