Face Paint

It's the Round-Up celebration days and these girls are loving it.  They have been so excited to go to parades and all the events.  They wake up every morning and ask me,"what are we going to do today mom?"  They surprised me and stepped out of their comfort zone and got their faces painted at the park.  They looked so cute and left it on all day long.  It helped that Ryder and Jax got theirs painted first.  They looked too cute.  Butterfly girl and Bat girl is what they called each other.  So fun to be able to share these fun traditions of the Round-Up with my girlies!  They were sad that Dad got home late from work and we had already washed the paint off, but they loved showing him the pictures of themselves.  I think if they could have they would have looked at themselves all day long in the mirror.  Cute kiddos!

Finally!

I have decided to post a few pics to kind of give an update.  There is really no way we can catch up.  Miah and Mazie are almost 4yrs old and I cannot believe it!  They are smart little stinkers and keep me on the ball.  They are growing up so fast and will be starting pre-school in the fall and will be gone from me three days a week for two and a half hours.  It makes me sad and excited to think about it, but mostly sad.  Good thing that in October we will be having another little one to fill my time.  Yeah!  We are having a BOY!  I am trying to wrap my head around it still even though I am getting bigger by the minute I think.  I am preparing myself for drool, poop, spit-up, nursing, and no sleep.  I am sure all those fears will dissolve as soon as the little guy arrives.  The girls have assured me that they will be excellent helpers and will take care of the feeding and the diaper changes.  Miah will probably smother the poor kid.  She is a natural mother.  They have had all kinds of questions about how the baby will come out, how he eats food in my tummy, and where the baby will sleep.  They amaze me with what they are concerned about.  I was hoping it would be twins again, but as I think about it just one at a time might be nice.  The girls are very concerned about what the baby will be for Halloween.  They keep saying we need to get him a costume, "like a puppy or somping."
I am trying to cherish the last summer of just the girls and I.  Now that I am feeling better we can have more fun.  We have a busy summer ahead.  City celebrations, girls birthday, camping, Todd's wedding, soccer, and then school will begin.  Crazy!  Well, there is a pathetic update.  Here is some random pics.

 Excited to be big sisters!

We cannot wait for the Olympics this year!
