Aaron's New Job

At the end of August, the family up and moved from San Bernardino, CA back to Sioux Falls, SD to allow Aaron to actually use his law license (MN).  Aaron began to look for jobs and eventually found one in Alexandria, MN.  This VISTA Attorney position was through Americorps and provided only a monthly stipend.

Now, Aaron has accepted a position with a state district court judge in Marshall, MN as a law clerk and will be paid for his work.  He wife and student loan creditors could not be more thrilled.

(Now, if we can figure out why Aaron does his posts about himself in third person, we would really be getting somewhere.)

Biker Boys (cont.)

As a follow-up to my previous post, I have decided to post some videos that I took of the boys' bike-riding skills.  Obviously, the first is of Isaac and the second of Austin.  I took this video the first day that I witnessed Austin riding his bike by actually pedaling it.  Usually, he liked to straddle his bike and push himself along.  Personally, this seemed painful and I am excited about the prospect of his learning to ride properly.

Recipe: Hot Dog Casserole

So, Isaac sat down with his mother and came up with a brand new recipe for what he calls "Hot Dog Casserole."  Here it is:

Ingredients:
10    hot dogs
1      cookie
20    gummy worms
5      gummy bears
2      pancakes

Instructions:
Place all ingredients in a casserole dish and bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 400°.

I can't say that we will try this recipe, but maybe one of you brave folks will and let us know how it turns out.

Biker Boys

So, while we enjoy the last remaining days of warm weather, we have dusted off the bikes and been using them extensively.  Isaac, just received a bike from our neighbor in San Bernardino has taken up to riding his bike and loves it.  He would ride it almost all day if given the choice.  He likes to go on long rides and last week he biked more than 10 miles between Wednesday and Friday last week.  Having the trailer on my bike, I take Austin and follow behind Isaac as we ride to the park, library, or anywhere else.  Cameron even had his inaugural ride last week (despite great concerns by his mother).
