Graham Cracker Houses

Last night we made Graham Cracker houses with some friends and somehow while the girls were making the sugar glue and frosting the boys were left in charge of the building and designing. Here's what Keith made for us:

And this is our tree from the Ranch!

I guess I didn't know the extent of Keith's creativity, I'm sure my house would not have turned out as cool as his truck.

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving on the Ranch with Keith's family! The break was way too fast and now we only have another week of school and it's Christmas Break! Just to recap some of the Thanksgiving happenings:

Keith and his brother Clay shot 4 muscrats (he tried to explain what they are to me, they build little dirt and stick pile houses on water? I get made fun of a lot for not understanding about wild life animals, but it's not my fault I wasn't raised on a ranch!) and caught several skunks in traps that were way too close to the house making his mother and I upset when the door opened all day.

Keith's mom and sisters made wonderful pies and a feast that we ate for days! That was my favorite part. Keith's sister Deanna made the cutest place cards for our fancy dining set up and we also made little cornucopias out of ice cream cones to put as a favor with candies flowing out.

Keith's little sister Deseret likes the game Life so we played it several times during the week. The girls all enjoyed it, but let's just say don't play games with Keith.

I almost forgot we also drove up the mountains on the ranch and picked out our first Christmas tree! keith's mom gave us our first ornament too!

Anyways we had so much fun and it was hard to come back to school!

Ok so I am finally going to try to figure out this blog thing. I never really planned on keeping this up after the wedding, but i guess Keith really wants to so I'll do my best. I'll give a quick summary of what we have been up to the last couple months:

After thinking for five minutes I can only come up with one boring thing

School

This is our last year of school and to say the least we are so over it! Keith looks forward to every Holiday to get him through school. Every morning just like a little boy Keith tells me how excited he is for Thanksgiving and Christmas. He also tells me his goal is to gain ten pounds from each. I know my mom is already planning all the meals with Keith in mind. In the few months we have been married the most important thing I have learned is food really is the key to my husband's heart.

About Us

Keith grew up a true cowboy on a 10,000+ acre ranch in Idaho and Tricia is a California city girl born and bred. We got setup on a blind date by friends last September and started our unlikely love story.

She Says:
"Our friends Jenn and Mike set us up on a double date with them. When Keith came to my apartment door, I was pleasantly surprised by how cute he was. I couldn't get over his amazing smile. We were going to dinner and on a hike, but the location had yet to be determined. When Keith suggested a really nice steak house in Provo, my friend Jenn leaned over and whispered, "He's a keeper!" and I couldn't help but agree.

As we talked during dinner we found we had a lot in common. I had never had so much fun on a blind date. After dinner we went on a hike and found ourselves leaving the trail to get to some mountain off in the distance. This of course led to difficult hiking on slippery rocks. I was so excited when Keith offered me his hand to help me along. I couldn't get over how cute he was!

At the end of the evening Keith asked me on another date for that Tuesday to play volleyball. I couldn't wait to see him again. I got the shock of my life the next morning when the doorbell rang and I discovered a bouquet of flowers and a note from Keith. Tuesday couldn't come fast enough."

He Says:
"I remember going to pick up Trish and feeling all nervous and excited at the same time. Trish was way different than I had expected. I first off noticed how attractive she was. I instantly fell in love with her straight blonde hair and relaxed laugh. I don't remember much of our conversations, but I remember liking her more and more as the date went on. We of course had beef steak and shrimp for dinner at Ruby River, which made things all the better.

We next went on a hike.  Secretly, I never liked much hiking and I prefer a horse or truck to do my off-road adventuring, but I of course made an exception this one time. As we got going Trish could tell I was way out of shape, though she didn't know it was from too much studying and Oreos! I of course fell toward the back and followed behind the group. This again got me thinking about how cute Tricia was and I was from that point on wishing we could go out several more times so that I could get to know her better. I thought it was fun when we got to hold hands for the first time on our first date.

After our first date we went out five more times in seven days. We played voleyball, went shopping, played tennis, went to a football game, and hiked the Y. On our seventh date we kissed on the Y and Trish got the shock of her life when I asked her to be my girlfriend that night! I didn't think it was too fast, and I have loved her from that night on and had to keep from telling her that until we'd been dating about 10 weeks because I didn't want to scare her. Now she is the love of my life and we are so excited to be getting married."
