Neely Fall Picnic -November 2, 2012

Friday Night we were able to enjoy the fall picnic at Neely Traditional Elementary. Bryce, Tegan, and Ashley seemed to have a pretty good time. It was fun with a petting zoo, hay maze, silly string corral, carnival games, etc.

If only we didn't have to wait for nearly 45 mins for face painting. :)

It was worth it to Tegan so I guess that's all that matters right?!

All in all a fun night! :)

5A Division 1 State Cross Country Meet

Saturday, November 3rd, Robert was on soccer game detail with Ashley, Bryce and Tegan, while I was able to go to the State Cross Country Meet and watch Ally run her last race of the season.

The race was at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. I will have to ask Ally how many girls total ran but there were a lot of them!

We had our six girls running for Mesquite High's team: Alice Jenson, Victoria Gallegos, Rachel Johnston, Ally Keil, Mathilda Amick, and Colleen Faye.

They are a fantastic group of girls and we have loved watching all of them run this year!

I will also update with all their places and times but for now you get Ally's. She had a fantastic race and finished 51st in a time of 20:40.9. Alice was able to represent the school on the honorable mention All State Team in 15th place. She is amazing!

I can't wait to watch all these girls run next year. They are just going to keep improving as a team!!

The 1st And Only "YWIE's" (you-eze) Awards

Tonight we were able to enjoy the fist and Only "YWIE's" Awards Program -aka Young Women In Excellence Program. :). It was the complete awards show package with red carpet, fancy dresses, awards (of course :)), even an opening song and dance number!

All in all it was a great night as each girl was recognized for her achievements. Ashley received the "Love Bug" award and Ally received the "Fastest Girl" award, though Bishop changed hers to the "Fastest RUNNING Girl" award. Lols :)

Preschool Halloween Party

We started celebrating Halloween in Preschool with our annual halloween party.

I have 5 very cute girls in my class this year and it makes things lots of fun!

Halloween

We had lots of fun on Halloween. We enjoyed dinner at our neighbor's, the McKim's, house with tons of chili and hotdogs, chips, etc., before heading out to "trick or treat".

Of course I don't have pictures of Karai and Chase in their costumes. Karai had to work at Chick-fil-a but was still allowed to dress up. He was Batman so it was pretty simple for him. Black clothes, mask, and "belt". I wish I had gone to see him there.

Chase went out with his "friend" Emily Graves. The two of them were "Tacky Tourists" and I'm not sure if I should be offended. He wore my shirt that is for catering at Sunsplash. It's not tacky!!! Okay it really is, but hey! I still have to wear it. :/

After dinner, Ally went trick-or-treating with a group of friends. She dressed as Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Game and though I gotta picture of their group, it's not a very good picture. Maybe the ones on her camera were better.

Bryce, Tegan and Ashley has lots of fun trick or treating and we have more candy than we will ever need! But they has lots of fun! :)

Carving Pumpkins for FHE :D

Finally, we have a Monday night where we are all home! So tonight for Family Home Evening we had a team pumpkin carving competition. Except it wasn't really a competition. :)

The teams were:

Karai and Bryce

Chase and Tegan

& Ally and Ashley

It was a lot of fun and they all worked together! Everybody got a little slimy from the insides, and did a little cutting, maybe a little piecing back together after a mishap. But in the end they all look great!

Ashley found the Monster Mask in the Halloween box and had a fun time "Scaring" everyone!! :D

Maybe now we are ready for Halloween!! But I wouldn't count on it! We still have 2 more days!!!

Soccer, Soccer, more Soccer & Trunk-or-Treat

So Saturday is generally one thing and lots of it........Soccer!

This week was only different in the fact that we had only five games rather than six. Now that Karai's season is done our schedule is so much lighter (not really!).

Bryce and Tegan both played games at 8am, then Ally at 9am and Ashley at 9:20am.

 Weird how I only got pictures of the game I was helping coach!! :D

After a short break and time to get some cleaning done it was off to watch Chase play at 2:20.

I didn't get a picture of Chase's goal but with a final score of 9-0, his half in goal wasn't too exciting.

 Due to the location of Chase's game Robert didn't make it because he had to take Bryce and Ally to try out for the All-Star soccer teams.

Once we got home from Chase's game we had to change into costumes and make a pot of chili for our ward Trunk or Treat. Karai even brought his friends over for the free food. :) Robert met us there after the soccer tryouts too!

It was a long fun day!

Our friend made "brains" red velvet cupcakes. I would have put a picture of the pumpkin cupcake, but it was too yummy, and I ate it up!!

Bryce was a soccer player (go figure!), Tegan was the Tooth Fairy, and Ashley was a "blue" Angel!!
