Kobe's Baptism

The weekend of Kobe's baptism, Grandma and Grandpa Hubbard and Josh and Kimberly came to town. It was really fun having them there for this special day.

The morning of the baptism was CRAZY!!! Lily had a dance recital and Kobe had a baseball game. Although it made for a busy day, I'm grateful they were in town to enjoy all of it with us.

After the ball game we ran home and got dressed for the baptism.

It was a very special day, with a lot of family and friends there for the occasion. I'm really sad I didn't get a picture of everybody who came but here's a list: Grandma and Grandpa Hooker, Grandma and Grandpa Hubbard, Uncle Josh, Aunt Kimberly, Uncle Ron and Aunt VaLynn and Bitner, Tobias, and Zane, my Uncle Jeff and Aunt Loralee even came up from Tuscan.

Kobe had been preparing for this day for months learning about the covenants he would be making,  about the Holy Ghost, and even about repentance. He was so ready to be baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He are so proud of him and the wonderful boy that he is.

Kobe's 8th Birthday

And that's it, just like that he's 8 years old. Every birthday I ask the same thing, how did it happen so quickly?

Since his party was the week before, his actual birthday was pretty low key.

He opened his present from Grandma and Grandpa Hubbard with them on the phone.
New scriptures, he was so excited about them.
Jaxon gave him a scripture case so now he's all set for church.

Lily gave him a Lego t-shirt, it says, "Everything is awesome"

He also got new slippers.

Grandma and Grandpa Hooker gave him his scout uniform

and a new Lego set.

His big present from mom and dad was Minecraft.

For cake and ice cream, we had cupcakes with leftover candy toppers from the party.

I sure love this boy of mine. He is a smart, funny, energetic, sweet kid. He wants so badly to follow the rules and choose the right. He loves to read, his favorite food is sausage pasta, and his favorite color is green. He loves to play baseball and basketball. We are so blessed to have Kobe in our family, he is a great big brother and a pretty awesome kid!

Party Time

Kobe has a friend who is in his church class, his school class, and has a birthday one week before him. When his mom asked if we wanted to do a combined party, it made perfect sense. Kobe and Jorren invited all the kids in their church class and a couple of friends from school. It was quite the party!
The party was at Pump it Up, a place with inflatable toys. It was so awesome because we didn't have to worry about party games or whether the kids would have any fun, that was all taken care of. And of course the kids had a blast!

Justin and I even got in on the fun. This is me finishing the obstacle course before Justin.

The kids tested out the Hurricane wind machine.

Kobe was spoiled with awesome presents!

We really had a wonderful time and it was so nice to have someone else take care of the entertainment and hosting. It was a memorable party and the kids have been talking about it ever since!

Brielle at 6 Months

This little princess is 6 months old now.

As you can tell from these pictures--we all love Brielle so much!

She is loving being able to sit in her exersaucer.

And when I lay her under this toy she rolls over and then gets mad.

She's eating solids and so far likes everything she's tried--maybe not at first but she's grown to love it all!
It's just tricky trying to feed her while she's grabbing at the spoon.

She is also sitting up like a champ now.

After she turned 6 months, instead of taking her somewhere to get professional pictures done, I pulled out my trusty point and shoot camera and snapped some very unprofessional pictures of her. I was just too lazy to take her somewhere!

But even my terrible photography skills can't make this baby look bad. She is so sweet and happy and we can't get enough of her!

At 6 months Brielle is 15lbs -23rd% and 26.5in-68th%
