Looking Back...

                         A Farewell to 2011:

I wanted to summarize this past year. It was definitely a year to remember...

Brought in the year 2011 at a cabin in Island Park with friends Scott and Molly.

Took the family to Disneyland for the first time. Went with my sister's family, Tami and Trevor.  {Jan 26-30}

Traveled to Las Vegas for Spring Break with friends Camille and Jared. 

{Found a new favorite hotel}

My brother Kacey and Cari were sealed in the Logan Temple with their 2 boys Bridger and Landry.

Celebrated Ava's first birthday May 2.

Roman's brother was married to Kristi in the Rexburg Temple May--

Sold our home in June.

{Bittersweet}

Moved into our other home that we previously rented in the same neighborhood.

{Finished the basement}

Our exchange student, Yuki, from Japan came with her husband for a visit and we all got to see her at our nephew Radley's birthday party. July---

Had a wonderful family reunion July---spent camping, playing, and boating. Almost our entire family was there.

My brother Kacey was killed in a small airplane accident in Grace, Idaho on July 18. Funeral was held July 23.

Garrett started Kindergarten-Ethan second grade

A nephew Trey Kacey was born on Sep 1 to my sister Tami and Trevor.

My Dad passed away after his battle with cancer on Sept 27. His funeral was held Oct 1. 

Ethan was baptized on Oct 8.

Spent Thanksgiving at my sister Tami's house in Pleasantview, UT

Spent Christmas at home and then at my mom's.

Said goodbye to 2011. It will never be forgotten.

As you can tell, it was a year filled with heartache and sadness, but I would be a fool not to recognize how blessed our family is and how many good things also happened and continue to happen. The things I have learned and experienced this year are irreplaceable and I treasure them deeply in my heart.

We had a blast with the outfits and backgrounds, as usual, and Ava was in a great mood...most of the time.

I think she looks so grown up...sigh

Needless to say she LOVED the cake. She dove right in like a champ. Wow, was it ever a mess to clean up.

Cannot believe my baby will be ONE next week. I am seriously dumbfounded...In my head she is should be about 4 months old.

I've got a great big party in the works and another photo shoot that I cannot wait for...
Lots of fun stuff to keep me from getting too sad that I've lost my baby baby and gained a spunky lil' toddler.

These were taken recently by my good friend Chantri. She has taken most of our family and kid photos the past few years. I think she does a fabulous job! It's not easy to get 3 kids looking, let alone smiling, at you. I really enjoyed the indoor session because sometimes the outdoor ones {at least in November} are cold and the kids get grumpy. It was also fun to have Ava sitting up in these. And I might me a little biased { ok a lot}, but my boys look so handsome:)
