Halloween

I know, I know it takes me forever to update. Anyway here's pictures of Halloween. Faith and Logan picked out their own costumes this year (thanks to Grandma Plumb for keeping every costume she's ever had) and Faith was a witch, Logan a pumpkin, and Lexi was a cute ghost (my mom's fiance's daughters made Lexi's costume and sent it to me). The monday before we carved pumpkins for family home evening, I didn't get pictures by my mother in-law did so you can visit her blog for pics of that. Anyway, we mostly just walked around our neighborhood and unleashed Faith and Logan. They had a lot of fun. There weren't many houses giving out candy so Jon bought Faith and Logan hot fudge sundaes after we got home and we watched some movies.

The Last Few Weeks

Faith was in her very first Primary Program on Sunday. You know how in every primary program there's that one child who's making silly faces and making everyone laugh...well that was Faith. If she didn't know the words she'd open her mouth really wide and make these funny faces while she "sang". Other than that she did really well, I was surprised because she's usually shy around big crowds.
Lexi's been pulling herself up and crawling all over the last few weeks. Her favorite thing to do is climb onto her bouncy seat and jump...until it falls over that is.

Logan was climbing all over the couch, slipped, and the side of his face hit some metal chairs. He ended up with a black eye and will hopefully stop climbing on the couch.

I've been experimenting with different hairstyles with Faith. I'm not very good with hair and I found a website on my cousin Starla's blog that shows pictures and teaches you different hairstyles for girls. Hopefully I'll get better.

Apple Pie & Laughter

I made a homemade apple pie for the first time ever a few weeks ago so I took a picture of it. It turned out wonderful and was soo delicious! I was really surprised, I thought it was going to be harder than it actually was.

Here's some pictures of the kids laughing and playing. Faith and Logan have been playing with Lexi a lot more the last few days and she loves to follow them around the apartment, watch them play, and try to keep up with them.

Alyssa, First Foods, & Silly Kids

This last weekend I ditched my hubby & kids and went with Lisa (mother in-law) to visit her daughter Alyssa for Mother's Weekend at BYU Idaho. We had a lot of fun hanging out with Alyssa and her roommates. We played an awesome and funny board game called Quelf, walked around campus, and watched some movies. Jared and Heidi (Lisa's oldest son and his wife) were in town also so they took us out to dinner. I didn't bring my camra but you can see some pics of our weekend on Alyssa Plumb's blog or Lisa Plumb's.
Lexi started on solids recently and she loves to eat. She'll crawl up to people and make louid noises or whine until they feed her. Also she's started sitting up on her own and crawl all over the place. Faith and Logan have been really good playing with her and she laughs like crazy when they play around her...it's really cute. Lexi also loves to play in her activity center, but only if soemone is nearby and plays with her. Faith and Logan have been crazy like usual and whenever I pull out the camra they beg me to take pictures of them.

Hoopfest, Birthday, and Pictures!!!

The 3rd was my birthday, I turned 25! Wow I'm getting old...25 and 3 kids. Never thought that was going to happen :P. I went to a movie with Alyssa (my sister in-law) and then for the first time in YEARS I bought earrings! Then we went to this awesome store (Down East Basics) that sells modest clothing for pretty cheap and I bought this yellow shirt and two tank tops that have lace on the bottom. I then had Alyssa take a picture of me. Enjoy the pic cuz you wont see may more of me for a while!

Here's some pictures of the kiddos:

Brad (my father in-law) is a Marshall for Hoopfest (he was in charge of 6 courts) and he talked Jon and I into monitoring this summer with him and Bradley (Jon's younger brother). Hoopfest is the world's largest 3v3 basketball tournament. All of downtown spokane is blocked off and there are basketball hoops EVERYWHERE! It was a lot of fun but after 2 days of monitoring game after game (we'd get up at 6am and not get back till 4pm or later) in 100* heat we were exhaused! I mostly kept score and made Jon and Bradley do the dirty work. We did get free Nike shorts and brand new Nike shoes for volunteering so we got more than sun burns and heat exhaustion out of it.

Update

Hey everyone! Sorry I havn't updated in a while, we recently moved into our new apartment and I've been busy with 3 kids and unpacking. Having some issues with uploading pics from my camra to my computer so I won't be able to post any until Jon gets released from Ft. Lewis and helps me figure out what's wrong. Anyway, here's what's been going on recently:

Logan had his 3rd birthday, we didn't make a big deal out of it but we did take him to build-a-bear and he made and dressed his own dinosaur. He's a typical crazy little boy who likes to climb and jump off of everything, I'm suprised he hasn't gotten hurt more. Lexi is 5 monts old and already getting ready to crawl, she's the easyest and best baby ever! Faith has been her typical self. She's really smart and likes to learn things and loves to throw tantrums to see if she can get what she wants. Jon is back at Ft. Lewis until Sep. 15th then he gets released for four years so he can go to school.

That's pretty much what's been going on around here. I'll update as often as I can.

Moving

Sorry for not updating in forever but I've been really busy here. We're getting ready to move to either accross the state or to Texas. We're just waiting to hear the official word. We're going to go stay with Jon's parents for a few days (Jon's best friend Dan is getting married) while we wait to hear about Green to Gold (the schooling progam he applied to). As soon as I hear something I'll update and as soon as we get moved in to wherever I'll start posting pictures again.

PS- To the Ctibor's: I really hope you all have a great time at the family reunion. Take loads of pictures for me!

5 Year Anniversary

Jon and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary on Monday the 5th. Friday night a friend of ours volunteered to babysit so we could go out to a movie. Thank you soo much Wil & Sasha...again! They watched all three kids and even picked up Faith & Logan's room, they are amazing friends! Anyway, we went with some of Jon's friend at work and watched Ironman, it was really good. I highly suggest everyone go out and see it. Then we went to Applebees and had half price appitizers. We just hung out the rest of the weekend and spent that time together. Then on Monday I made Jon a steak dinner with baked potatos and salad, and we watched Me, You, and Dupree while we ate Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. We had lots of fun spending some quality time together.

I can't believe it's been 5 years! Time has gone by really fast. I am married to the best man ever. He pushes me to be better and is always trying to get me out of my comfort zone. He always has something interesting idea he's talking about and he's so much fun to talk to, our conversations are never boring. He loves spending time with me and our kids. He's such a good father and husband and he shows and tells us everyday how much he loves all of us. Our kids love him so much also, they ask where he is everyday and "when is daddy coming home." He always can get me to smile no matter how angry or upset I am and we're constanly laughing. He compliments my personality in so many ways, he's totally the perfect person for me. I love you Jon!

Justice Alexia

1am on March 20th I woke up to Logan crying, he never wakes up in the middle of the night so I went to see what was wrong. His blanket fell off him so I helped him and then went back to bed. That's when the contractions started. I tried going back to sleep but after about 4 strong ones within 15 minutes I gave up and decided to take a shower. I got my hospital bag ready just in case and tried walking around and such just to see if they were going anywhere. A little after 2am they were 3 minutes apart so I woke up Jonathan and he made some phone calls. We got to the hospital between 3:30-4am. I was 5cm dilated and was having regular contractions so they admitted me. By the time I got to my room and got the IV in me (took 2 nurses and 5 tries in 4 different spots to get it in) it was around 4:30am. Soon after I felt the very strong urge to push. A nurse checked me and I was 9cm dilated and complete but they weren't quite ready for the baby so I was told not to push....haha ya right! My midwife came in and said "Well, you can either wait for your epidural and your water to break on it's own or we can break your water and you can have your baby in about 20 minutes." We had her break my water. At 4:51am Lexi was born a whopping 8lbs 5oz and 20.5" long. It was a very short and very painful labor, especially without ANY pain meds, but was totally worth it!

Due Date Poll

Ok, so just for the fun of it I decided to do a Poll. Tell me the date and time you think I'll go into labor, and how long you think my labor will last. Also, include inches and weight. To help in your guesses I'm due March 17th. I was induced with Faith (she was a week late) at 5am and she was born at 9:37am. She was 7lbs 14oz and 20.5" long. I went into labor with Logan around midnight four days before he was due and he was born around 6:30am. He was 8lbs 7oz and 21" long. Whoever's guess is closest to what really happens will get a......I don't know yet, but it'll be good! Have fun! :D

Happy Birthday Faith!!

Faith turned 4 yesterday but we celebrated on Saturday. We had a few people from Jon's work come over for cake and ice cream. Faith was really shy, she didn't even want to pose for the pictures, but she did enjoy herself.
Here's Faith baking her cake. I didn't have the energy to make her one like I did last year so I let her help me make just a regular box one. She loved it!
Faith got a Diego magna doodle from Wil and Sasha Fernandez
Jon got her two Betty Spaghetty dolls so Logan can play with her. She LOVES them!

Here she is blowing out her candles.

She also got a huge stuffed dog and giant sucker from Rob and Rachelle Snead. Also, she got a phone call from Grandma Marlene, Aunt Angela, and Uncle Brandon and Aunt Jody on her birthday. Thank you to everyone who called and everyone who gave her a present. She really did enjoy all the toys and phone calls. Happy Birthday Faith!

Here's some fun facts about Faith

  1. Her favortie color is purple.
  2. Her favorite food is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (with grape jam).
  3. Her favorite animal is a horse.
  4. Her favorite toy is her elephants.
  5. She knows facts about a variety animals and she can tell you what noises they make.
  6. She doesn't like to play by herself and gets upset when Logan won't play with her.
  7. She loves to go to church and just started in Sunbeams in January.
  8. She's learning all the letters of the alphabet and is starting to recognize them.
  9. Her favorite cartoon is Go Diego Go!
  10. Her favorite person is daddy.

Your Superpower Should Be Manipulating Fire

You are intense, internally driven, and passionate.
Your emotions are unpredictable - and they often get the better of you.
Both radiant and terrifying, people are drawn to you.
At your most powerful, you feel like the world belongs to you.

Why you would be a good superhero: You are obsessive enough to give it your all

Your biggest problem as a superhero: Your moodiness would make it difficult to control your powers

Random Update

Since not much has happened lately and I havn't posted in a long time I'll just post some random things that have happened.

* About a week after Jon had his appendix out I ended up having to take Faith to the ER, she ended up having a UTI. She's much better now and to her normal crazy self.
* My mom's birthday was on the 24th of January, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!
* We recently got our tax return back and bought everything we need for this upcoming baby and I let Jon buy a new TV, sound system, and entertainment center.
* I'll be 35 weeks pregnant on Sunday....Horray, only 5 more weeks to go!
* Faith and Logan have been very into books lately. They've both been asking me to read to them several times a day.
* Faith is learning her letters and catching on really fast.
* I started potty training Logan but then gave up after a few days, he's just not ready yet so we'll try again in a few months.
* Our camra is still in our car from our Christmas vacation and that's why I havn't taken any pictures lately.
* Faith will be 4 on Sunday, but we're going to celebrate on Saturday.
* Jon is sick once again, we're thinking it's either a really bad cold, flu, or infection. He's had his flu shot so we're hoping that it's just a cold, we'll have to wait and see.

That's all that's been going on over here. I'll try and post again soon with pictures this time!

Appendicitis & Surgery!!

It all happened on Sunday. Jonathan felt fine all day long then right before we went to bed he said he started to not feel very well. Well, after that he was up every 45 minutes running to the bathroom, dry heaving, and having some other problems. At 4:30am I called his boss to tell him what was going on. 5am Jonathan decides to take himself to the ER. I tried to convince him to wait a few hours so I could call around and find a babysitter so I could drive him and be there. He decided not to wait and tried to convince me that it probably wasn't a big deal so I went back to bed while he headed to the hospital. 9am I call him and the doctors saw that his white blood cell count was really high but they didn't know why so they ordered some more tests including a CAT-Scan. 12pm Jonathan calls me back and says that they found out he has appendicitis and has to have surgery and take out his appendix. Apparently it was really bad but hadn't burst yet...luckily. He was on the waiting list for surgery so he didn't know exactly when it would be done. So I start making calls around to see if anyone could watch the kids and drop me off at the hospital (Jonathan had the car with the carseats in it). I started with the FRG (Family Readiness Group)-Basically a network of all the miltary spouces in Jonathan's unit, it's the way information/help is passed around. No answer from anyone from the FRG. Then I started calling some friends that I knew, no answer there either. Then I tried my visiting teachers, the Relief Society Prez, and the Bishop. No answer from any of them. For three hours, I tried to get ahold of ANYONE with no success. 2:45pm Jonathan calls and says he's getting prepped for surgery, then a few minutes later Snead, a guy from Jonathan's unit, dropped off the Jeep so I finally had a way to get to the hospital, but still no one to watch the kids. I'm starting to freak out and become really emotional. Being 7 months pregnant and having Jonathan getting ready to be cut open wasn't helping with trying to stay calm. 3pm Rachelle, Snead's wife, comes over and says she's watching the kids...Finally! So I make it there right after they take him to surgery. A little over an hour later he's out of the OR and talking. Everything went well. That night Jonathan's whole entire chain of command called or came in and checked up on him and asked if there was anything I needed. Well, if they would have called and asked when they all first found out he was going to have surgery I wouldn't have had to stress out about if I was going to be able to make it there or not!!!! Anyway, it was very nice that they at least checked on him and asked. He came home early the next day and is currently at home annoying me for the next two weeks :D, then on light duty for two weeks after that. He's doing well, just sore. Well, that was our exciting week!

Christmas

We went to my mom's house for Christmas and spent time with my family. We had a family party the weekend before Christmas where we had a baked potato bar dinner, made Gingerbread houses, did a play about when Christ was born, played Christmas songs with chimes, and had a gift exchange. It was a blast!

Gingerbread Houses
Cade, Logan, Grandma Grape, Jamie, Xandra, and Preston
Keira, Desiree, and Cullen
Ashlee, Tawnie, and Faith
Xandra & Jamie

What a cute angel! (She told everyone she was a bird)
"Uncle" Trish, Uncle Clint, and Logan.
For some odd reason Logan kept calling Trish uncle instead of aunt. lol
David, Jamie, and Cade as shepherds
Keira, Cullen, and Desiree as the "wise men"
Preston, Grandma Grape, Faith and Ashlee as angels
Uncle Kenney played Joseph and Tawnie played Mary
Aunt Xandra helping Faith with her chime
Gift Exchange
We went to church with my mom and Trish took this picture for us. Thanks Trish!
Christmas Day!! I let the kids open their stalking and their present from Grandma Marlene and let Jon sleep in for an hour. They got a cash register from Grandma that came with groceries, a debit card, and play money. Too bad the register didn't work so we traded it in for some really nice pj's. They both got an orange, banana, and candy/snacks in their stalking along with a toy. Logan's was a Buzz Lightyear and Faith got a Cinderella Barbie.
After breakfast (my mom made some really good french toast) we woke up Jon and the kids got to open their presents. Faith got a dollhouse that came with a mom, dad, and twins. Logan got a train track set, and they both got an aqua doodle to share.

I got Jon a waffle maker. He's wanted one for a long time. Here he is cuddling with his waffle iron and Tia.
