Super Heros

Carter loves wearing these Super Hero caps! (Tanner got these years ago...so it is funny to see Carter latch on to them.) There is a Spiderman, Superman & Batman...I will have to post them next time I see him in one!

Blazer vs. Jazz

The boys were so excited to go to this game. They almost didn't get to go because it was gettin SOLD OUT! Tanner got some award at school for reading & he was able to choose a blazer game! Of course John wanted to go the one when they played the good old Utah Jazz! But as I said the ticket office said they were booked for that game...but when I called back they said that my tickets were on hold for the Jazz game. Of course I didn't want to get to excited & then get a big let down...so I questioned the lady...who put me on hold. She came back later & confirmed that the tickets were ours!!! The guys were so excited...this was Carter's first game! Tanner was thrilled that he got the team players to sign his book. It ended up being a LATE NIGHT...especially sinse it was school, but we thought that 11pm once in awhile is worth the next day sleepy eyes! Good job Tanner keep up the reading!

Ahhh holding her just makes you miss those your babies. Christie is suppose to call me everytime she wakes up in the middle of the night...but she hasn't! Me, Baby Lizzy, Mommy Christy & Kathy

Super Models!!!!

Don't they look like the models in this advertisement!?! Well they are! This is how we got through law school! We had to sell our selves! Just kidding. But this REALLY is John & Tanner. We were at the mall one day when they were having interviews. We got called back & our family did a little photo shoot. John has actually been in some commercials! Too bad they hardly paid us anything! We had heard that there were some life size pictures in some malls here in Oregon. Now we finally see it for ourselves! I made them stand there so I could get there picture. I think they were a little embarrassed because people were walking by! A lady stopped & said "Is that you? How neat!"

Salem Again!

This is embarrassing but it took us forever to get together with our old law school freinds in Salem. Between our busy schedules & the snow storm, dinner plans got postponed too many times! But we made up for it this week....we had dinner together at their house and then a few days later they came to Portland to go to OMSI with us!!!
John, Me, Kathy & Dave Jacobson
These kids use to play atleast once a week (along with Bella,Drake & Savana). But I think it was a little weird this time since they are at the awkward boys & girl stage!
Kiali & Lizzy had a great time. Kiali hasn't stopped talking about her & when we get to see her next!!! They looked like twins (blonde hair, blue eyes, white shirts, blue jeans & PINK panties that kept peeking out!!!) I tried to get a picture but they weren't gonna have it!

Pink vs. Blue

These 2 are so different? You would never know they were twins!
Malia will have nothing to do with blue...if you give her a blue blanket or binkie she will push it away & say "nooooo...pink!"
We say "hey peanut" & she says "noooo I'm a girl!" It is all about the pink for her....she LOVES pink! Her sippy cup, bowl, spoon, fork...if you try to give her something else she says "pink" & if the other girls or I have something pink she thinks it is hers! What have we started!?! I guess it has just always been that way for her. Since they were teeny tiny it's been pink or blue! So I guess it is my own fault!
They thought they were so funny to climb on top of the couch. These little monkeys are the best climbers.
They were so little that their pants are almost up to their neck LOL!!! Everything was huge on them! Ahhhh aren't they sooo yummy. Doesn't it just make you baby hungry!?!

POLKA DOTS

The girls convinced Daddy to do their fingers & toes...POLKA DOTS!!! Carter was really sad that he was not included. We did let him get in the picture...minus the painted fingers & toesies! The girls LOVE when daddy does this for them...it has started to become a little bonding time between them! Isn't he such a sweet day to play with them like that? (I am sure he would rather be watching football or basketball). We usually save this for Sundays...to feel up our LONG days (we no longer have the big Wilkinson dinners at Gma & Gpa's house to fill our Sundays.) All these little fingers & toesies
While they did toes I made homemade Orange Rolls...yummy!

Inherited Addiction

Who needs a 2 story Barbi dollhouse/hotel with an elevator??? If you can turn a cabinet into a two story paper doll house! Kiali is obsessed with these paper dolls, she has cut out dozens of them. She even got the Pottery Barn magazines & cut out pictures of their bedroom, office, & family room. I love this girl. I don't know who will be more excited for Kindergarten...her or me! I will miss her...even her little trails of craftiness...well maybe I won't take it that far. I am sure she will have plenty of time to craft...even in Kindergarten. She definitely inherited this craft bug from her "mama" (that is what she calls me...I feel like Aunt Jamima...as far as i know we don't live in the South...but it is so swet how she says it...I Luv it!)

Parfait Creations

Makena, Kiali & Cousin Lucy were int he kitchen making creations. They would make up a recipe & then have me try it. This was the winner!!! It was the first creation & by far the tastiest! (The others were....well interesting!) this one was a yogurt parfait (vanilla yogurt, sliced bananas & strawberries, granola, and i think they added some brown sugar or something else...which gave it an interesting taste..but definitely yummy & edible. I ate all of it! Thanks girls!

My Basket Ball Boy

Okay he is obsessed! He loves ball! And he is good...he can dribble & shoot dozens of baskets in a row! He wants to be outside all day long playing...but as you know mom has to get something done...so I moved this into the garage so he could play ran or shine...with or without mommy there! They usually want
My program won't let me turn it....but look at this guy! Isn't he a STUD...he is only 2!

A Date with Kena & the tag alongs

No school today! Tanner & Kiali were invited to their friends house for a playdate so Kena & I thought we would hit the mall. We couldn't resist the temptation when we walked past The Cheesecake Factory. I know it seems like I eat there alot...I really don't! (There is kind of a perosnal joke between John & I. When we were in Baltimore, Maryland there was another couple there that literally ate there for breakfast, lunch & dinner. We couldn't figure out why they wouldn't eat at any of the many other restaurants....there were tons all over!) Anyway we survived our lunch. Yummy fish & chips.Me... sandwiched between the twins!!!

3rd Grade Concert....humuhumu nukunuku apua'a

Cousin Lucy & Makena
The 3rd graders sang & played musical instruments. John thought the "Boom Wackers" were pretty irritating after 7 songs!!! Humuhumu nukunuku apua'a (Hawaii's state fish) was my favorite song...why??? because I grew up in Hawaii!

WICKED!!!!

This was the BEST Broadway play that I have ever seen! This blows away Les Miserables & Phantom! If you get the opportunity to go....DO IT! It was fabulous...& FUNNY...okay hilarious!
We went with a group of friends from the ward and these are a few of the couples (well girls here) that we drove down with. What a fun night..thanks everyone!

These 2 are soooo Delicious!

Ahhhh a little kiss for the sister!

A visit from Gan-ma

Gan-ma came for a little visit...little did she know that she would need to be back a week later to see her son put in the bishopric...fortunatley not my hubby...it was Joe (good luck to Stacy). Unfortunately Gan-ma was in Ohio at our soon to be sis-in-laws Wedding Shower (Yes, another boy is getting married!) Anyway she was bummed that she couldn't make the connection..but Gan-pa made it. The kids REALLY had a good time listening to all his childhood stories (his neighbor who had a pet LION in his back yard...just walking around like a dog! How the teacher put him in the school closet for playing on the "girls play ground"...he had to hold a doll the whole time! Another story of how he buzz Highland High..where his 16 year old future wife was (believe it or not but they got married at 16...but since she hadn't even hit puberty she had to anxiously wait 4 years to get her 1st baby...good thing because there may have ended up being 14 kids in the family instead of only 10!!! It was fun listening to his stories...the kids LOVED it!

A Trip to La Hacienda & Willamette

For all my law school friends....this will make you jealous! This is my FAVORITE restaurant of all time! La Hacienda! My mother-in-law & I had to take the trip all the way to Salem just for memory sake & to have some delicious mexican food. Ahhh I love their hot home made tortillas! This is one of the most authentic restaurants....well without giving you the runs!
Okay I need to add a side note. When I was at the hospital having Kiali. My mom & mother-in-law were sitting here eating! The funny thing is they thoguth they'd make it back for her delivery. The doc said I was at a 3 so we had some time...but oh no...she was like my others....I went from a 3 to a 10 in less than 30 minutes. So guess what....they missed the birth! Funny story huh!
This is the tortilla girl...flipping hand made tortillas! These fresh, soft tortillas are to die for. As well as their chip dip (they serve refried beans with a vinegar/cabbage/green onion salsa...it is hard to explain but so delicious.) Joe & Stacy were a little hesitant....until they had it! It is amazing! The babies ate it up!
The Law School! I use to drive up and wait for John here. His window was on the right, second floor,...1st window. We could just drive up & he'd see us waiting. Ahhh the memories of law school...I love them. (I thinkJohn feels a little differently though). This picture doesn't give it justice. This campus is gorgeous, a little river meanders through the campus...we use to go & feed all the ducks!
Doesn't it look like a East Coast Campus? I love the old buildings!
