Christmas Eve With Friends

Christmas Eve we were invited to the Hostetler home. We enjoyed a wonderfull meal and time with friends who are a blessing to our lives.

Christmas At Grandma's

Having already had our "Early Christmas" with our children and grandchildren in Utah, we began our Christmas in Florida with a visit to Katie's mom's home in Orlando.

In case you couldn't read Katie's new sweatshirt, let me show you a close-up!
"I Wonder" who bought that for her!!!!!!!!!!!

Katie's brother, Kirby.

and her Aunt Fran, visiting from Ohio.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

FIRST CONTACT!

Grandpa Klemas meets Emily for the first time. Thanksgiving Day, 2010......
Truly something to be Thankfull for!

Our First Weekend in Provo

Sunday Morning, November 28th

As we open the door to leave our motel, guess what had happened overnight!

I discovered what the long brush, in the back seat, was for!

And it was still coming down!!!!!!!!

But since we were going to church with Jeff and Kendra, we had to drive to their home.

What an experience for an old Florida guy!

Emily's Blessing

Emily's Blessing

December 5th was the Grand Finale of our 10 day vacation and the main reason for our trip. Emily Diane Klemas was blessed by her father.

Keith & Stacia pose with Emily, prior to the Blessing.

Once again, the date stamp on the pictures is incorrect.

Family Members Gathered
Shown here with Keith & Emily are: Kendra, Sam (Stacia's Susters husband), and Stacia's brother Daniel with wife & daughter

Taking part in the circle were: Daniel, me, Jeff (Kendra's husband), and Brian (Keith's best friend). And of, course, the proud daddy himself.....Keith!

All were gathered to witness the blessing of Emily Diane Klemas and her officially being given a name so to enter her in the records of the church.

The Cabin

On our second Friday in Utah, Jeff drove us up to the family cabin via Park City. The Yoho Family Cabin is up in the mountains near Heber, I'm guessing at around 8,000 ft.

The date stamp is wrong. We drove up on Friday, December 3rd and returned late afternoon on Saturday, December 4th.

Lots of deer and a few elk were sighted during the hour drive.

We arrived at the cabin around 2pm and Keith, Stacia and Emily joined us around 6:30pm

Kendra and I made treats for our stay.

Kendra & Jeff made Friday nights dinner. A hearty potato & ham soup in bread bowls with tossed salad!

After dinner we had an "Early Christmas" since we won't be able to be together at Christmas.

Then we watched some "Home Movies" that we had brought. Video of Keith & Kendra when they were little, and even some of Katie while she was pregnant.
Saturday morning, Katie & I did breakfast! Pancakes (plain, blueberry, chocolate chip & pecan) with bacon (regular & turkey), fresh fruit, juices & milk.
After a hearty breakfast, it was time to take Alayna out on the sleighs.
The scenery was fantastic!
Jeff & Alayna went out first to get the equipment from the garage.

Alayna was a little frightened at first..........

Until her daddy reassured her it was ok!
After that, we all had turns taking Alayna on a short ride.

But the best was Alayna and her daddy, especially when they brought out the old, steel runnered "Flexible Flyer".
Many of the best pictures were taken by Stacia.

Keith & Stacia provided lunch on Saturday with Keith preparing a pot of his famous chili!
A few hours later we headed back to town as tomorrow was to be the Grand Finale of our trip.
