Snowmageddon!!!

I really can't complain about this past week of Snowmageddon because this winter's weather has been more like fall then winter. Temps ranging from 40 to 60 degrees and every once in awhile we would hit 32. With no snow fall and rain showers every 2 weeks.  Which would be alright with me if every winter was like this.  Get all the snow for the winter season in one week.  That's right 20.5" in 7 days.  Try and beat that!  Although I believe we are still in "drought conditions" from last year of 0" of snow and hardly any rain.  Below are a few pics I took of the 2 major snow days, Thursday, February 21, 2013 and Tuesday, February 26, 2013 which were the 2 days I took off from work.

There's pavement down there somewhere.

It's fun at first until you get tired of shoveling it all away.

Can you tell where the new and the old begin?

Almost buried the bug

Chain link fences became private.

Cars started disappearing and

It can be beautiful

Weight Loss

I know I haven't posted anything for a very LLLLOOOOONNNGGGG time but I wanted to show what I have been up to lately. The picture above is from my Wii Fit. I get to put a stamp on the days that I weigh myself. As you can tell I have missed quite a few days but I try and not focus on that. My goal is to keep trying no matter what. I have lost 3 pounds so far and I know this doesn't seem like much but I am proud of myself because I am trying. Cheers to sticking with it!!!!!

Haircut

I have been needing a hair cut for quite some time and haven't been able to get my schedule worked out with anyone to get it done. So, I had told Brad and Jennie about it and Brad said he would do it for me. Which, at first I thought he was kidding but he was being serious. Jennie and Brad discussed details about how they were told how to do it and so with a combined effort Jennie cutting and Brad giving her direction, my hair was cut. I think they did a pretty good job.
The hair that was cut off.
Placed nicely on Brad's head. Don't you think it would make a good toupee?

Oklahoma for Thanksgiving

Driving
Many hours playing with toys

We drove by this Million dollar football stadium built at the high school were Aunt Kari works. We also went bowling after this but I don't have any pictures of us (I know shocker, right?)

Eating Braum's. I keep seeing this place on credit card receipts from my co-worker who travels to Oklahoma quite often. I wanted to experience it for myself. This Braum's had just been built and is pretty big. It even has a little grocery store attached to it which I thought was weird but whatever. It is good so next time you're in Oklahoma stop by.

Jacob and Rose enjoying theirs.

Farmers Market and Veggie Soup

Emily and I have been twice to the City Market in downtown KC. I love it it makes me feel like I am doing my little part in helping local farmers stay in business.
All the produce that I got from the farmer's market.

I turned most of it into veggie soup. I am really proud of myself. It was my first time at making soup from scratch. I must say it turned out really well.

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day Jennie, Jacob, Rose, Josslyn and I stopped and put flowers and wind mills on Mom's grave on our way to Dad and Beth's place. We thanked Beth by giving her white and red roses and a card. We also made dinner and as always there was a ton of food. Grilled chicken courtesy of Jordan. Rose made mac n' cheese, Jennie made pasta salad, I made mashed potatoes and for dessert, fancy rice crispies(which is Beth's favorite).
On Saturday the day before Mother's day Jennie and I hung out at Jacob and Rose's house because they were babysitting Johnathan. Rose pulled out this flower that someone had given her for Josslyn, we thought is was big to put on a baby but she's still pretty cute.
We decided to go visit Jaime's grave since we had Johnathan and could tell him about her. He was so tired from having fun during the day that he fell asleep like this.
We put wind mills and pink flowers by her grave.
Isn't he getting so big?????
