My sweetheart turned 28 this week...he's quickly approaching the big 30! To celebrate his birthday I made some fun golfing cupcakes for him to share at work (it was a bummer he had to work all day), then we partied that night with friends.
Golfing Cupcakes :)
Close up!
The plan was to eat a picnic dinner (California Chicken Wraps, thanks to Jessi!!!), then go golfing (thus the cupcakes :), but we ended up having a Couples Bacci Ball Competition instead (we barely won...must've been the birthday luck!). Afterwards we went to Zuppa's for some tasty dessert, and decided to get the chocolate fondu. We were all pretty excited about this dessert...we sure waited long enough (darn highschoolers!) But when they FINALLY brought it to our table there was plenty of chocolate, but not enough stuff to dip. We devoured all the fruit and marshmallows in about 2 minutes, leaving us with bowls of delicious melted chocolate. We couldn't let it go to waste! This is when the guys decided they needed to run to the store and buy some more fruit. They grabbed some strawberries and bananas, and we let them in the back so the highschool servers wouldn't see our contraband...then we cut up our fruit and were able to finish up the chocolate we paid for :). To top it all off, we went back to Brett and Erin's for some good old fashioned Mario. Fun night...a birthday I'm sure Dale won't be soon forgetting :)
After preparing our OWN fruit!
